Another Side Story
a gundam rp/story

The view screens lit up one after another, quietly the cockpit began to light up and flicker with beeps and pings, confirmations and signals, small floating men drifted around the outside of the machine, checking obvious functions and mechanics, movements and sensors.
a faint glow in front of the screen began to grow brighter as the bay filled with light from the moon, each of the little men became a shadow in his eyes as his hand rested on the control throttle, the buttons feeling a little stiff, loosening as he pushed down on one for a weapons check, each click and clack of the buttons lighting up little green confirmations on his console, pushing on the foot pedals lit up another set, followed by a few taps on the screen for a password.
The machine jolted a bit and felt weightless, as it pushed forward and a slight rocking as it took step upon the catapult launcher, his hands gripped tightly as he leaned forward a bit moving the throttle forward, in the screen a hand rose giving a thumbs up.
Moments later the machine suddenly grew tight with pressure flinging him back into the chair the g force of the launch winded him for a moment but returned the moment he was launched into space, a push of the foot pedals and the suit glided and twisted as if it were nothing more than a bird in the sky, he panted a bit and looked at each screen, flares and sharp bright objects flashed past his screens, bullets and beams filled the space around him.

-huff, huff- "so this is what they ment by a tight maneuver, but im not going down this early"
he grinned looking for the closest target that lit up like little red fireflies on his screens.
he brought back the control a bit and clicked the thumbswitch a few times, a rifle lifted and fired off three round bursts at the closest machine to him, it twitched and spun in place, what seemed like armor plating and an arm flew from the machine drifting away in to sparking flames.
After a moment of passing the cockpit shook and rattled, an explosion from the suit he'd fired upon, he couldn't help but feel a sense of fear, but a rush knowing what had happened to the poor fool in that suit. but he shook it off, knowing if he'd hesitated he would be next in the sights of another just like him, the battlefield was no exception and there were none given, if you hesitated, you would become nothing but dust and twisted metal, forever drifting in a dark and empty space forever.
