Well with the hard points discussion I think we have to look at it like this. We probably all know or realize that victory on the battlefield doesn't come simply from the mobile suit you bring or how many weapons it carries. A majority of a fight is determined by the skill and tactics used by a pilot.
In a role play or even realistic perspective (I'll use the Kamfer as an example since it was mentioned before and I love it) Say it is carrying its full arsenal, Bazookas, shotguns, chains in all. If someone here were to pilot it like that, they would have to be concerned with weight of course. But also how and when to use all of the weapons. Bazooka's are bulky and take a good moment to equip, shotguns are very close ranged and have a high risk high reward factor. Head Vulcans, well forget them if they go against a Gundam.

Even look at shows as example. In 0080 war in the pocket, heavy loaded Kamfer fights the Alex gundam and uses all of its hard hitting weapons. The Alex takes it out with a single wrist chain gun. (Though I would call that blind luck more than pilot skill) But you know what I mean.

Then in 08th MS team, a SINGLE Gouf Custom with only it's whip, two chain guns and a heat saber (That is 4 weapons I know). But is able to defeat a [G]Gundam Ms team, which is using a beam weapon, machine guns and an 108mm cannon. And 3 MP Guntanks. (And several federation fighters before that if you want to count it.)

So what I'm saying is, don't go overboard on weapons like carry 4x bazookas and 12 grenades because of hard points. It should be alright to carry the weapons your mobile suit can but be sure stay within the practical limits of the machine you use.

(There was my two cents but I feel like I gave a whole dollar with all that)

ok im gonna straighten this out now. first off all vice and captain have special access to suits, but yes i have told lacy about the qubeley, but for the future if your not vice then i dont wanna hear complaining.read the rules. and second the 3 weapon rule is for starters to the guild, as i stated before i will give you access to more equipment if i see your worth my time. im not gonna give a new comer a gundam to start off with. too much power is at any given time a bad thing for everyone. as well drifter has a point, prove to me your a damn good pilot and you'll get benefits. thats that. your commander has spoken.
