Regardless of faction or stage, your boy(s) receive a letter, text, or even a courier pigeon if they are particularly hard to find in Diamonds. It seems fairly urgent. The entire faction of Diamonds seemed to be asleep, or empty: no matter where the denizens unfamiliar with the Faction walked, looked or investigated there seemed to be no real traces of life. Occasionally a smoke stack produced plumes of smoke in the distance, or a fire flickered through a grate in someone's home, proving that there were residents at some point who didn't want to freeze in the winter... but for the most part, it was silent. Dead.
The deligates had been invited back, along with some new individuals, because The March Hare had a dilemma. That dilemma was only partly due to Alice, mostly due to a buneary who looked distinctly dishevelled and unkempt, sitting at the head of Faust's table, nursing a mostly empty teacup. His hands shook each time he raised it to his mouth.
"Deligates," Faust addressed them, sitting to the right of the man who had taken his place. Faust didn't seem to care very much, which was unremarkable given very little seemed to outwardly ruffle Faust's proverbial feathers, but remarkable in that Faust was a faction head and as such definitely earned his seat at the head of his own table.
Faust paused, and folded his white-gloved hands together. "You may be wondering why I have asked you all here to--"
Faust was interrupted, suddenly, as The Caterpillar seemed to materialize behind him. He was probably under the table, or previously asleep in the snowy grass, but it was generally unclear when Ecstasy was involved. "Heyyyy everyone, did you miss me?! I missed all of YOU ^ o^b" Ex gushed, adjusting his rhinestone-encrusted shades and smiling. His lips were chapped, and his cheekbones so thin it looked like Faust could cut himself on them, when Ex leaned down to inexplicably bury his face in Faust's hair and wiggle it back and forth.
Faust seemed to be steeling himself, but his expression didn't change and he just kept going despite Ex still giggling and rubbing his face between the lopunny's ears. "This, my ... brother," Faust continued, gesturing to the buneary at the head of the table, "He was charged with a traditional duty, to serve Alice much like our own Oracle does, and lately his dreams have been troubled."
As if on cue, the buneary started to mumble, "I saw a plane black with blood and grass in waves, so much shouting!--" The buneary rose to his feet, "'Do not walk where the bones are carved into lattice, where the arches rise, graves are a long-lost art and I have no shovel! ... No shovel." The buneary sat back down, slumped into his chair, and shut his eyes. He looked like he was sleeping.
"What I need from you today is... no easy task. It will require considerable mental and emotional, and probably physical endurance. What you see, cannot be unseen. Will you come with me to the Pool of Tears?" Faust asked the children and teens gathered around him.
"We leave at sunrise. Your quarters are prepared in the tower, and the Tea Party servants will provide both food and drink so long as this table is occupied. Please ready yourselves and meet me at the gates of the Tea Party at dawn should you be up for this task," Faust instructed. He gently, almost tenderly even, helped his brother to his feet, and escorted him into the tower.
Ex had, at some point during the speech, stopped rolling his face around Faust's head and was now on top of the table. He had pushed all of the teacups and plates and saucers and the ilk down past where his body took up space, and was lying on his stomach now, making swimming motions. "Why is the water so heavy in the Pool of Tears? All the better to grow up strong! Good bones, good teeth," Ex was saying, interspersed with wild giggling.
Well, yet again the only person left to supervise them was the drugged up faction head of Clubs-- he didn't seem like he'd be particularly useful for a while, but who knew? Sometimes he just acted insane. Alice was nowhere to be seen, though his presence might be felt... Maybe he was within earshot.
[[OOC: Everyone signed up for the meta may post an introduction, and get ready. I won't kick things off for real for a couple days, since I have some pretty intense work schedule stuff going on! Feel free to meet everyone, and to make guesses as to what the 'dreams' may be about.
FOR NOW the meta will be structured kind of like a CYOA; after this prompt, I'll be posting occasional prompts. Players can then try their hand at navigating the prompt assigned, and depending on what they do, their environment will respond!
As a side note, those pretty blossoms are now active, but they will only count during time spent in the meta thread(s)...!]]

Atticus had never been to Diamonds, nor had he been particularly thrilled when a carrier pigeon arrived at his windowsill carrying the request that he travel there. Given he had not yet earned the ability to purchase a horse, the young man had to higher a horse and carriage to cart him to the faction he really knew so little about. If anything, the insect was surprised he had been summoned as a delegate for Hearts in the first place, but he wasn't about to openly complain - it seemed important and if they were wanting him for something important, who was he to deny them? If anything, he found it to be, perhaps, a chance to prove that he wasn't all bad.
Though he really did prefer Hearts to this place. At least it wasn't Clubs, though, right?
The whirlipede turned his eyes to the buneary that seemed to mumble madness. He could make little sense of the muttered nonsense, but it didn't sound good. And he served Alice? That was what had his attention. He sank back in his chair as Faust's words weighed heavily on him. An antennae flicked and a small frown tugged at the edges of his mouth. He wasn't really hungry or thirsty, too concerned with the matter at hand, though he knew he would have to indulge in the offerings at some point in the evening - especially if he wished to have strength in the trying times ahead.
"I will accompany you to the Pool of Tears." He ignored Ex. He didn't feel as though he could rightly refuse the request - not with the buneary's visions. The journey there had taken long enough, anyway. He briefly glanced around the table at the other gathered delegates. Some of them he knew, some of them he didn't, and at least one of them he hated with a passion, yet couldn't really picture life without.
Alice watch over them all.
Tobias hadn't been to Diamonds before, either. Hearts, Spades, and he hailed from Clubs, but never Diamonds. Spades had been an accident, but did it really even matter?
The amphibious fire-wielder leaned back in his chair, the front legs tipping slightly as he balanced. He typically did this when sitting, rocking ever so slightly when stationary. He ran a hand through his mess of ginger locks, hat in his lap out of respect - though he had to be told by another delegate to take it off at the table. He didn't really know any better and his manners weren't the best, though not intentionally. He had spent his time growing up around a bunch of uncouth, poor bachelors and many of his mannerisms reflected this. This did not mean he was a bad kid, though, and his brow furrowed as he listened to Faust and his brother.
The newly recruited Clubs delegate bit his lip quietly and with his free, right hand, he flicked his lighter open and closed nervously, though he never actually lit it.
"Wells, y'can count me in. I ain't gonna turn tail, nosiree. I be helpin' anyway I can." Click. Click. Click.
The lighter thing was a developed habit, something he did when he was uncomfortable, although he outwardly did not show it often. What really expressed his unease was his quietness - the usually boisterous frog found himself lacking words under the gravity of the situation.

It was odd to Briar to hear something was going on in the Diamonds. Usually it’s always so peaceful which he loves so much. But now hearing about a request to meet up with the others delegates from the other factions he couldn’t help but to be a little excited about it. It’s almost like last time when he was a part of a tour to see the other factions. He wondered if he might ever meet his friends again. The Leafeon really does hope so for he would feel much better.
The young grass type waited for the others to arrive, noticing a couple of familiar faces who are from the faction, like the young Mudkip named Maddox who he met a few times before. For sure he would stick by him being the only person he knows thus far. His leafy ears twitches as he listened to Faust, amazed to hear that he has a brother and he turned to see the Buneary. His green eyes widen hearing what he has said that it made his ears stood up straight. “Blood . . . and shouting . . . it almost sounds like a war or a battle.” It was the first thing that came to mind as well as hearing the rest of his dreams and it made Briar absolutely shudder so much and cringe for he doesn't want to think about it anymore.
When Faust talked about that there were food provided. But Briar couldn’t find himself to eat anything at all as he stood up from his chair. “Faust, I want to go as well.” He couldn’t eat at a time like this as he joined with the others that included the company of a young Politoed and a Whirlipede teen. That and he doesn’t feel so comfortable to be with Ex.
---------------------
It was a first for Maddox. He clearly doesn’t know what was going on but seeing that Briar was going it all gave him enough reason to attend. He saw other people that he would have never met before in his life from different factions showing up which made him interested in them. The mudkip waited in silence, looking around and wondered of what to do. For all he knew, it could be a party or something. That was the only thing he guessed seeing Faust is here as well as Ex and a . . . strange looking Buneary. His words . . . are intriguing. It paints a picture in his mind of the scenery that when Briar had said about a war or battle, it made sense to him. “A fight . . . maybe.” He muttered in giving his little input.
He sat in thought, lost in his world about the vision that the Buneary had spoken in trying to see what he has seen. But his violet eyes looked up and saw that the Leafeon is gone! “Briar?” The mudkip looked around, only to see that he has gone off to the small group ahead with Faust. “Wait for me!” He jumped down from his seat and hurried behind. But he had stopped momentarily only to smell the luscious scent of food in the air. And he loves food so dearly that he looked over to where it was coming from, remembering a bit of his daze that Faust mentioned a tea party . . . and that had turned him off greatly. The sounds of broken dishes had made him terrified; shaking his head from side to side and hurried once again to be behind Briar.

Malo smirked as he reclined in his own chair, listening carefully to all the going's on. He sat far from Atticus, not interested in the little pest's company. He had his legs over one side of the chair he was in and angled himself so he wasn't going to bump or nudge Tobias.
He giggled at Ex. Ex was a great guy who really knew how to have fun, even if he shouldn't be trusted with children. Malo pulled the brim of his hat down, pausing to listen to the dream. Sounded like some gothic castle. Or catacombs or something. But catacombs didn't have grass. He bumped his hat back up and smiled gently. "I'd be delighted to come." He dismissed himself from the table, taking a few small cakes with him.
Piper was a happy sort. He belched with a sort of indifference and ate like a slob, leaving three chairs between himself and any others at the table. Crumbs flew from his lips and he passed gas remorselessly. But he never stopped smiling, the greasy tresses of hair framing his face, his rosate glasses contrasting the rest of his drab, unclean outfit. He wasn't taking any of this too seriously, much more happy to be eating and in such multitudes of company. A small pygmy goat was resting in his lap, sharing his teacup and snacks. It was such an undignified display. Piper hardly listened. He didn't know if he was going to go or not, on this silly journey. The pool of tears might result in a bath and he really wasn't feelin' it. Sort of grated on his duties of travel. But he'd see. He supposed the company would be jovial and the grub was finger-licking good...and they had sent him a bird and everything on his journey. The goats could use a break.
Firefly had never been more disgusted. He had moved all the way to the other end of the table and he could still smell the offensive odor reeking from Piper. He smelled of goats and old cream cheese. The spades delegate was not liking this at all. He had been working on a new gun for himself when his father had called him up, demanding him to go. Apparantly a letter had been delivered, asking for him, but to the wrong address. Firefly had whined and bitched and moaned and thrown a huge temper tantrum, but his papa demanded his attendance and Firefly had decided to no disappoint the man.
So it was with a heavy heart that he forced his smile and tried to sip from the less-than-clean teacup. The smell alone made him sick and he wasn't sure if it was just Diamonds. He'd go on this stupid trip, but he wasn't going to enjoy it. It was for his father's name that he was still here.
Andreas knew this place. It was like a dream, wavering at the very edge of his memory. It was like a word on the tip of his tongue. Seated on several books, the little guy sipped at his tea and tried to remember. Yes, this tea was unforgettable. He had been here before, but not in this lifetime. Perhaps in another? Oh, this was making his brain hurt something fierce and he buried his face in his hands, ears picking up all the words.
It hadn't been a long walk here. He lived in the area with his current father and had arrived early that morning. He had been delighted at first by the copious amounts of jam on the table before him, but then he'd seen Faust. He knew that man. Where did he know him from? He felt so familiar, so close...
He was far to shy to ask, however, and just sat quietly. At the offer, he lifted his head and, if just to discover whom this man was to him, he gave a silent nod. He'd go to the pool.
He looked after Faust and gave a sort of concerned face. He wanted to talk to him, chase him down and demand where he knew him...but again, he was too timid of strangers.

As per usual, Logan was essentially sitting at the table in an aura of his own displeasure. His shades, which he'd taken to wearing everywhere all the time to hide the dark bruising of his insomnia, were pushed up high on his nose. He sat with his arms crossed over his chest, chair pushed back and askew. Nothing that anyone said at the table seemed to reach him, or if it did, he didn't show it. Impassive, Logan waited for the meeting to be over. The only notable reaction he seemed to have was to flick his tail in irritation as Ex swam on the table and complained about water thickness. Logan hated water, and he was not looking forward to the Pool of Tears at all. Would he go? Naturally. Would he enjoy himself? Almost never.
Logan seemed to be allergic to joy, or to enjoying himself whatsoever. The only time he looked at peace, the only time he took his shades off at all, was when he was tattooing: when he was in the middle of applying ink, carefully and masterfully, Logan lost sight of what it was that proverbially hounded him. He just felt at peace.
One of his hands slid away from where it gripped his arm, and found its way to his bag, which he'd taken off and set against the armrest of the chair he currently occupied. He could feel the ridges of his sketchbook, and shutting his eyes, mentally leafed through every design and sketch inside it. He wanted to draw, still, his fingertips twitching eagerly. Later, he told himself, almost aggressively, before signalling someone over. He asked them for coffee, and for them to show him the way to his room once he'd gotten that.
[[ Logan Exiting to Dormitory Wing ]]
--
Gauvain, unlike Logan, was sitting neat and proper with his tiny hands clasped in his lap. He was waiting, as he had been told to do, and listening to the scary babbling man talk while the calming, handsome one tried to translate the situation. Gauvain was both mesmerized and disappointed by Ex: he didn't believe that the 'show' Ex was putting on was sincere, but he did wish for something a little less pedestrian! After all, the 'driven mad' routine was so common in Wonderland; couldn't his faction head try just a little bit more?
When he spotted Atticus, he thought firstly: wow, the kid had really grown up! And he'd grown up handsome, too. Now he was older than the Swanna infant, so Gauvain hesitated rather than say hello. He did, eventually, wander over to him: "Hello, Atticus! I haven't seen you in forever," Gauvain suggested, beaming up at him. His little blue eyes, flecked with gold, sparkled in the wintery light of Diamonds. He was clearly happy to see him, for some reason or another. He got distracted when he noticed Briar was sitting nearby..! He started to skip over to his friend, but tried to regain composure, his gold helmet slipping slightly so that the Swanna had to adjust it as he neared the boy. "Briar! Hello, dear friend!" Gauvain greeted him, reaching for Briar's hand to brush the customary awkward greeting kiss across Briar's knuckles. As he was an infant still, Gauvain had no idea what that gesture meant; he just knew that the Queen's Knights did it in the movies he loved, so he would do it too!
--
Kian was not in a particularly bad mood, nor was he in a particularly good mood, when he arrived in Diamonds. He was a new delegate; previously, the young man had kept to his practices and not really bothered to surface from the Hearts' performers. After all, he was training to perform in the court, for the Red Queen some day. He didn't have the time to slack off! He ran a hand through his messy orange hair, sheered short at the sides, and headed after Faust, initially intending to ask him some questions.
He wasn't really watching where he was going, however, and nearly walked into Firefly's chair: he vaulted over it, at the last second, bracing his hands lightly on the back of the chair. He wasn't certain the chair was stable enough to take it, at the last second, but it was a little too late for that. "Sorry! Hah," Kian apologized, rubbing the back of his neck and waving to the unfamiliar flareon as he headed on his way. He paused, momentarily, to ask the concerned-looking Mincinno: "Hey, are you lost? You look kind of sad, what's up?"
Kian crouched to talk to the boy, his slate-grey eyes somehow warm. Kian noticed, suddenly, that there was someone vaguely familiar flicking his lighter open and shut. Kian's eyes widened and he grinned, reaching out to ruffle the Mincinno's hair. "Well, whatever it is, find me if you need something, okay?" Kian was friendly. For now.
He was in a good mood, though. It wasn't until later at night that he'd get unusually moody and sullen. Kian approached Toby: "Don't I recognize you? From a circus, right?" A performer! He was sure of it, wasn't he? Or maybe Kian had just seen him around the grounds in Clubs.

Zale eyed the table, listening quietly from his spot within the shadows. It was clear he was a loner, preferring to leave others and keep to his own needs until he was desired. His eyes flicked across the room, taking in his surroundings before, gracefully, he stood.
"I will be of service." He murmured, eyes flicking up. This was training, in a way, and he would accept the challenge if it meant bettering his being. Brushing past Isaac, a male he had seen several times due to their guardians being close friends, he gave a cold, dismissive grunt towards the water-type. "We do not need children amongst us." Zale hissed, remarking on the others personality before leaving the table.
Isaac gritted his teeth in response to Zale, spine shivering as he had to restrain himself from just lunging at Zale. He knew how that would go. Zale would fling him gracefully, using the males momentum to send him flying, and Isaac would regret it. Usually, he had no self control. Right now? Isaac was in a rare mood. It wasn't everyday you were invited to some fancy place and given an offer, was it? Oh, hell yeah he was going. No one was going to stop him, not even the stupid grass-type. Running his hand over his slicked back hair, he shrugged to himself, tail violently lashing. "I'll show him." He grunted as he glanced at where Zale had been before shoving himself out of his chair and exiting.
Vincent was quiet, many tails flicking and twitching as he listened. The slender, feminine, long haired male flicked hair behind his shoulder, nails tapping against the table. Crossing his legs, the kimono wearing fire-type considered his options. His fans would get a kick out of him doing some mission thingy, yeah? Yeah. Then again, did they have to know? Psh. Anyway, he also liked the idea of being near people.... He didn't get real company much, people who weren't only seeing him to see his performing persona, and his lonely heart lured him in. He'd join, yes. He'd play whatever game they were toying them with. He didn't mind.

Atticus was sitting near Firefly namely because he wanted to be as far from Piper as possible. He liked his space and he liked to be clean, the exact opposite of that greasy slob. He shuddered at the thought of having to be close to him. Funny, who thought a Hearts and Spades delegate would be friends, but Firefly was the closest anyone had truly come yet to being what Atticus could consider a friend.
"Odd." He mumbled quietly to the flareon. "What he speaks of - of the bone lattice and no graves, it reminds me of a place I was reading about just the other day. A cathedral lined and decorated with the bones of men." To say the whirlipede was fascinated would ultimately be an understatement, but his features looked as passive as ever. He was about to say more about bones and decor, but found himself distracted by a familiar voice.
"Ah, Gauvain. It has been a while. How are you?" If anything could be said about the insect, it was that he appeared to be in a more pleasant mood than the last time the swanna had seen him. Maybe his lessons did help a little bit. Either way, Atticus was doing his best to blend in with the others. Polite and passive, his real thoughts tucked away. Speaking his mind usually got him in to trouble anyway. He wasn't unhappy about seeing Gauvain again, though. In fact, he was a bit glad. That made two people here he was at least on good terms with, even if one was much younger than himself.
He turned to glance at Kian briefly, who had vaulted over his neighbor's chair and arched a brow. Couldn't he see that this was not the time or place? Bah.
Tobias leaned further back in his chair than he had intended to and felt his center of gravity becoming, well, un-centered. He nearly dropped his lighter and his arms flailed out, not hitting Malo but certainly encroaching on his personal space. He managed to keep from tipping backwards, but the feet of the chair hit the wood floor with a solid "clunk."
"Sorry." He blushed a bit, a faint burning colour, as he sheepishly adjusted himself and folded his hands on the table in front of him. Replacing his leaning was the faint "taptaptap" of his right foot as he bounced it. The active youth was fidgety beyond belief. He didn't like to sit still and he had a terrible sense of foreboding, even though he was quick with a smile or a pat on the back. He liked others and he liked friends. He did feel out of place here, though.
"Good t'have ya comin,' buddy." He gave Malo a brisk nod. He really meant it, too. Malo was his best friend in the whole wide world. Malo coming along made him as happy as a clam and much less nervous.

"Its cool, Toby." Malo smiled in his direction. "That's happened to Preston a lot. Its harder for people who float." He demonstrated by sitting back down and leaning back in the chair until it toppled. He remained floating. "See?"
He noticed the bouncing. "Its good to be here too, Wiggles." He had no idea he was calming the other, but he righted himself as Kian hurried over. "I think he's talking to you, Tobes."
Piper blinked as his goat clambered onto the table. "Jolly!" He called after, climbing onto the table to catch him. "Jolly you menace! Oh, sorry everyone!" He stalked past a small group, the table creaking under his weight, and chased the goat in a walking race to Zale and Issac, landing on his belly. He caught the goat and jerked him by his back legs, sitting on the cupcakes to tell the little critter off.
Firefly gave a gasp as the little rogue leapt over his chair, unsettling it, and almost making him spill his tea on his outfit. He glared after him with an unfriendly growl and an assassination attempt with his cup. The laws of wonderland made the cup fly past him, bounce off the ground and then roll back over to its owner's hands, not spilling a drop. "Watch yourself, you maniac." He hissed, then looked to Atticus, regaining that forced smile. He was happy the whirlipede was here, but not happy they were at this very spot. He'd have preferred nice, stylish indoor conditions.
"Indeed, it is odd." He said softly. "I've never been good with riddles or the like. Too much..." He tried to think of the word before taking another sip. "...thinking involved. But I guess that sounds plausible."
Andreas opened his mouth to speak but already the little guy was moving on. He closed it again and went back to his thoughts, swirling his tea in the cup like his older self used to at this party.

Briar kept close to the group, wondering what the Pool of Tears might look like. In silence, he saw more people showing up and greeting others which was nice to see. But what he didn't expect to see was Gauvain. It made the little Leafeon very happy to see! He saw the Swanna skipping up to him which made him giggle at his enthusiasm. "Gauvain! It's great to see you again." He said with a bright smile on his face. But then he couldn't help but to blush to a deep shade of red when his hand was taken into his and felt Gauvain's lips brushed against his knuckles. It even made his leafy ears and tail stand straight up! It was still something that he has to get use to which has proven to be difficult.
It was then that he finally snapped out of his blushing and looked over his shoulder to see the mudkip standing behind him and thought to introduce him. "Gauvain, I want you to meet a friend of mine." He stepped to one side for the two to meet with a smile on his face as his eyes caught on a familiar Vaporeon from the crowd and it made his smile even more brighter. "Isaac! Isaac over here!"
-----------
It was a lot to take in with all the people but he stayed close to Briar. But he stopped to see him being greeted with a friend of his from what he has observed. A Swanna boy who looked very elegant seeing how nice his clothes are. And it was nice to see Briar introducing him to the flashy looking boy as he smiled softly with a nod of his head. "Hello . . . I'm Maddox." He was a little quiet but that would change once he gets to know the boy a little more.

Zorro hadn't paid much attention to the goings on. Which was unfortunate for him now seeing as he was now lost. The Zebstrika had no idea where he was going now. This couldn't be a good thing for him but maybe someone would take pity on him and show him around. Then again, maybe that wasn't how things went in the land of Diamonds. Zorro wouldn't know. He had never left the grounds of his faction before.
He slipped into the group of other pokemon. Maybe he'd find a new friend who'd be willing to spend some time with him and show him about.
