Walpurgis took his position at one end of the field. With flash of red, Gangrel appeared before him. "Alright, Gangrel. We'll be battling that Whimsicott again. This time, however, it's planned." Walpurgis smirked as he finished speaking. Gangrel nodded understandingly.
Walpurgis called out to Saya. "Okay, once you send out your pokemon, the scoreboard will announce which one of us begins the battle." He motioned to the electronic screen fixed to the wall. "Don't worry - neither of our pokemon will be in any danger; worse comes to worst, I'll stop the battle myself."

Saya stood at the other end of the stadium. She had never been in a real pokemon battle before. She was both scared and excited to have her first battle.
Saya trusted her new friend, after all, he had saved her once before. She released her whimsicott into the field, hoping it wouldn't try to kill her again.
Chromatic stood there, staring back at Saya.
"Um, your opponent is that way." Saya pointed to the other side of the stadium, trying to be helpful.
Chromatic didn't shift her gaze.

The rattata's eyes shifted to blue, and he fired a gout of ice at the whimsicott.

Chromatic gave out a cry of surprise and anger at being hit with an ice attack. She spun around and charged headfirst into her opponent.
"Hey, after the battle, I'll give you food!" Saya called out to her whimsicott.

Chromatic bellowed in pain, then seeded her opponent. She kicked her heels at the rattata for good measure.
"She can't keep being angry for long, right?" Saya asked, unsure. She didn't know what to do, so she just stood and watched the battle. Her whimsicott seemed to know what it was doing and was just fine, which suited Saya.
