Szeyla wandered through an unfamiliar section of woods looking lost and confused. She couldn't seem to remember how she had come to be here. she sighed and sat down curling her tail around herself protectively.

With a yawn Blain walked. He had left the den to stretch his leg and get some fresh air. With all the new kits things were getting noisy. And he had just wanted some time alone. Looking up at the sky he smiled and began to hum a tune.

she resumed wandering and before long began to hear a voice humming " oh now im hearing things too..." she whimpered slightly, convinced she was loosing it again

Clearing his throat he began to sing softly, his tails flicking this way and that. The sun danced on his red fur and made his white hair light up.

Szeyla swung her head around, hoping to find a source, something to prove it wasn't in her head. she breathed a heavy sigh of relief when she spotted a unfamiliar red zune. He was a stranger, but that didn't matter, as long as she wasn't having another fit. She shied away, father would be angry if she made contact and he learned of it.

Once he had finished the song he stretched, "Oh that feels good. So nice to get out for a while." It was then a scent hit his nose. Blinking he looked around.

Szeyla froze as he looked around, she stuck to the shadows, fully aware she was not the right color to hide well in this setting and probably stuck out like a sore thumb. She could summon a portal and escape, but father had forbidden her to use it in front of others. And so she stayed put, hoping he decided to move on... but no, that wasn't what she really wanted, was it? that's what father wanted... not her... she put a paw to her head feeling faint. what... what was she doing? the other zune right, she berated herself for getting distracted and quickly flicked her eyes back to him watching his progress

Settling down he had seen some one out of the corner of his eye. And by the looks of things she had wanted to hide. "Hello?" he called out, as if unaware of her, "is anyone out there?"

a battle waged in her mind, she wanted to say hello... to meet him, but father would be so angry... but... then again, father was always angry, she always did something he didnt like... then did it really matter if she went and spoke to the other zune? father likely wouldn't find out, he was powerful, but he wasn't all-knowing... and she was sure her brother was not around to snitch on her.... pain erupted in her forehead and she flopped down cradling her head. that's right.. she remembered now, rebellion meant pain.... she shook her head as if to shake off a bad dream and stepped forward and sat back down just outside the shadow " h-hello..." she said, her voice was rough, she hadnt used it in a while.

His ears pitching up he watched here then quickly trotted over, "Hey are you ok? You don't look so well."

her tail twiched anxiously and she rubbed her paw over her muzzle " h-huh? oh.. yhea im... fine. Just a little headache. nothing to worry about um... who are you? that is... if you don't mind my asking..." she was curious about him, she really enjo- no wait, she didn't enjoy anything. she coulden't enjoy anything.

Offering a sweet smile, "I'm Balin Flameheart. Son of Kuma and Tama Flamehear. And grandson of Kutai and Fuega Flameheart. The largest zune clan ever known." he beamed proud of his heritage then chuckling, "But you can just call me Balin." He gave a bow, "And who are you, m'lady?"

she couldn't resist smiling back, just a small smile, but a smile nonetheless. " that's nice... my... my name is Szeyla Irell Granz.... daughter of Szayel Aporro Granz and... and..." she frowned " i-i'm sorry... i can't seem to the remember the others name... i-" she cut herself off and shook her head, brushing away the thoughts.

her head snapped up at the touch and she unconsciously shied away " oh, um, n-nice to meet you too Balin.... uhm, if you don't mind my asking, what were you singing... before?" she asked wanting to make conversation
