Sayen stretched out on the warm grass while her eyelids fluttered close. A smile pinched her cheeks. Things could not be better especially on such a nice day. She traveled a bit before finding a sunny patch of grass surrounded by trees. The wind rustled through the leaves, creating a rhythm with nature. It was a perfect spot for relaxing, even the birds agreed as they sang to each other. She squirmed in the grass like a cub, enjoying the play. The sun casting its glow, turned her black eyelids pink while she kept them closed. She found it interesting how it changed color when she rolled about.

Howahkan's sleek body easily slid in and out of the trees. She traveled from shadow to shadow flowing like water. A few chirps caught her attention, her ears pivoting towards the noise. Caramel eyes scanned the area before landing on a couple of blue jays. A smile hinted on her features. She watched as they sang to each other before fluttering off. How nice it would be to fly. Running was similar to flying once she got going, but nothing could bet the real thing. It was fun to try though. Her body was athletic and lean, which she kept that way. Laziness was not a part of her personality. Hard work led to many rewards.

Before continuing forward she spotted a rather strange sight. A lion rolled around in the grass. Curious, she crept forward, peaking through the shadows. She obvious enjoyed whatever she was going. Her happiness was infectious and Howahkan found herself stepping into the light.

Sayen's tail swayed while she hummed. She'd spend all day here if she could. Though, it would get dark soon and exposed in a clearing at night probably wasn't a good idea. She rolled over onto her side. Blue eyes opened slowly and focused on the chocolate cheetah. Sayen was surprised to find somebody else in the area, but not frightened. The cheetah didn't look like a threat, if anything, she looked curious.

Sayen sent out an invitation, "There's more than enough grass for the both of us." She smiled at the other female, hoping she came across as warm. Sayen wasn't a fighter, but she would defend herself if the cheetah did turn out to be aggressive. Of course, Sayen didn't expect she was, but one could never know. She tried to see the good in everyone, but it would be stupid to assume everybody was the same.

Howahkan stopped, muscles tensing. It wasn't very smart of her to catch the attention of the lion. Lions were stronger than cheetahs, but at least she had her speed. However, the female invited her over and Howahkan decided to accept the invitation. She traveled enough for today and it would be nice to take a break. Spending time with others was certainly better than being alone.

She stepped up to the lion and bowed. "Thank you." She sat down and looked off into the trees. Enjoying the sun on her fur. Her tail wrapped around her legs.

Sayen began to laugh at the cheetah's formal presentation. "Forgive me for laughing, but I don't own the grass. You're more than welcome to stay as long as you'd like." How weird would that be if creatures owned the grass? Traveling would be very difficult. Plus, she was sure that nasty beings could take advantage of the situation. Of course, prides sort of owned the land. Though, more like they borrowed it. She was sure the gods wouldn't be pleased if they laid claim to all of it.

Well, she had no plans to leave any time soon so she might as well get to know her neighbor. "My name is Sayen." She nodded her head in acknowledgment. This cheetah seemed respectful and Sayen will treat her as much.

Her eyes softened at Sayen's response. Yes, it would be quite weird if somebody owned the land. Howahkan's upbringing taught her to show respect to others and not assume anything. Her paths have crossed with certain aggressive types and being safe was always smart. She pulled her attention away from the trees to address Sayen. "And I am Howahkan." Another bow, this time, not as low. She appreciated the nod and could tell this lion would enjoy their time. Well, at least not hate it. Species some times didn't mix, but Howahkan couldn't see why others had such prejudice.

"Howahkan, that's a pretty name." It was obvious that Howahkan wasn't a chatty cat. She took her time with answers and Sayen could appreciate that. Though, she was more a social creature, so she'll have to try harder to get a response from Howahkan. "So what brings you out this way?" She smiled at the cheetah and pawed the soft grass, enjoying the sensation on her pads."Personally, I've been walking for a while and decided that this would make a great place to rest!"

Howahkan was surprised at Sayen's response. It was very refreshing to find a creature so laid back. "Thank you and Sayen is nice as well." A smile finally reached her eyes. Not that she was never happy, but it was harder to express herself to others. Those that got closer to her saw more emotions, but sometimes others found her off putting. She thought about where she started...well, she's been everywhere. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing the land. Howahkan definitely wasn't an idle creature. "I was traveling and thought you had a great idea. I hope you don't mind." She didn't want to impose herself on others.

She scuffed, "Of course not! Silly, I wouldn't have invited you if I didn't want your company." Sayen has never met a creature so interesting. Well, Howahkan didn't talk much, but she was entertaining in her own way. A giggle bubbled up and she quickly covered it up. The quiet personality complimented Sayen's personality. She should try to sit in silence, well, a peaceful state. It could be a game to see how long she could last. "Ok, I'm going to lay here and play a game. Don't worry. I'm testing myself."

Howahkan cocked her head considering her words. Play a game? What game? Does that mean she would have to play too? When Sayen didn't explain, she left her be. No need to worry about something it until it happens. Though, maybe this was the game? Either way, she couldn't complain.

Howahkan sat silent, absorbing the air while Sayen laid next to her. It wasn't long before Howhkan could hear steady breathing. She glanced down and noticed Sayen had fallen asleep. She chuckled to herself before standing up and continuing on her way.
