The day was another lovely one in Serenia. The golden trees blew in the wind, the people seemed happy, and the sun was high over head. Yes one could not ask for something nicer....
"So bored..." Thea cried out as she kicked a stone against a wall. It bounced off with a thud to land back on the path in front of her. A second kick kept the stone going.
She had promised her mother to she would stay close to home today. Something about getting in trouble running off last week? Thea knew it was her cousin who told on her about knocking over the fruit stall.
But that didn't mean she could stop her sense of adventure and with a stronger kick this time, Thea just kept walking.

Today was a rare day for Tamri, a day where he had the whole day to himself. Normally he always had something to do, looking after his brother, taking care of house hold chores like cleaning or getting food and also training for the dragon hunting he would be doing soon. Today however, Diri was at a friend's, the chores were done and he had finished his training for the most part. Today he was free
The possibilities of the day seemed endless to him. It was almost a little daunting he didn't know what he really wanted to do because there was just so many options. He had a pile of old books to read or he could just explore or do anything else.
He had decided grabbed a book off the pile and decided to go for a walk. He find a good place to read and maybe he would stumble upon an adventure later.

Thea's strolling had taken her out near some of the golden trees that dotted the land. Standing before the tree, Thea had a twig held like a sword out in front. She was taking several deep breaths before giving it a good swing.
With nothing else to do that day, she might as well practice. After-all, if she wanted to be a warrior, she needed good skills. This was also an outlet for her energy.
Though she would adore to have someone to practice with...

Tamri walked for some time before he found a nice place where there was a number of trees growing and he thought that it might be a good place for him to read. He spent a moment looking for a good tree to sit up against and while he did he noticed the other orderite there.
He watched her curiously as she swung the stick through the air. She looked about his age and it wasn't too hard to figure out what she was doing. Practice fighting is something that a number of orderite's their age would be doing.
In that moment it looked like it would probably be more fun than the book he had brought with him. He stepped a little closer and spoke, "Um, hello."

Thea was in mid-swing for a form she had been working on for days. Something about the way she held the weapon and how it made contact never seemed to feel right. She was just about to finish it when a voice came up from no where causing her to stumble in motion. Dropping the stick she was using, Thea was able to catch herself on the tree before she glanced backwards.
"Don't you know you should never scare someone with a weapon?" She called out turning fully around and walking up to him. "What would have happened had I turned and suddenly attacked you?" She asked looking a little upset that a simple 'hello' had caused her to completely lose focus. Thea hated admitting she needed more training.

He hadn't meant to startle her, he really hadn't. Tamri flinched a little in sympathy when he saw her stumble. He was unsure if he should rush forward and help out or if he should step back and hide. As she walked forward part of him wish he had chosen the latter instead of just stood there.
"I would have, well, defended myself," he said but there was no real certainty behind his voice. There was a reason he had given up on fighting and the fact that he was terrible at it and had a habit of falling even when he had not been startled.

This words made Thea smile in return. Even through her frustration, she was impressed that he could say those words. His voice was the only betrayal that she could find.
"Would you? And what skills do you have?" Thea smiled at him, stepping back slightly. The fact he didn't back away from her made Thea have just a little respect. Maybe the interruption wasn't so bad?
Nodding her head, she just smiled and extended her hand. "Thea."

"I know a little sword play," he said, a little shakily still. It was true, he had trained some before he given it all up. What he decided to leave out was that he wasn't very good at it. There would be a very good chance that he would fail, and splendidly, if he were to try to defend himself.
"I'm Tamri,' he replied and shook her hand. He was glad that she seemed to have warmed up to him, she was smiling now after all.

"That's an interesting name. I don't think I have seen you around before." Thea stated as she looked him over. The male seemed far too small to be a fighter. It was honestly a little disappointing but Thea just shrugged it off. Not like she could magically wish for him to be strong.
But he might at least provide some fun. That was the biggest problem of going out alone. There was no one to share things with and telling stories was not Thea's strong suit. "So what brings you out here? Not many people just wander around." She pretended to look around before whispering. "Never know what's lurking out there."

"I don't really get out a lot," he admitted with a bit of a shrug. Most of his time was spent at home looking after his little brother, he didn't often get to spend time with other people his age. He was a little uneasy as she looked over him, he wasn't the biggest fan of being under scrutiny.
"I was just going for a walk," he said honestly, "I didn't think it was that dangerous around here." Maybe it was because he had a sheltered life and didn't know any better, but he really didn't think it was that bad.
