A celebi had made its onto Mariana's head. Well, not truly on her head, for he was hovering, rather than sitting. The woman was sketching the surrounding area, perhaps so she could remember it properly. Brennen did not seem to appreciate her attempts. He moved from his place over her head, taking her sketchbook with small hands. "Bibi!" he greeted her, before flying to a low branch in a nearby tree.
The celebi sat down carefully, nestling itself comfortably against the tree's bark. He flipped the page in Mariana's sketchbook. "Bi," he complained. This wasn't a sketch of him either. He flipped another page. "Bi!" Where were the pictures of him? Clearly he was the best and most fun to--whatever she was doing.
He flew down to the woman, blowing a raspberry to make his opinion of her sketches known. He sat in her lap, big blue eyes staring up at the woman. "Bibi!" he said, shaking his head at her. Clearly she did not know the right way to go about art.

Mariana had been having a relatively peaceful day. With Alistair and Jacen both back at the house, she had taken it upon herself to go to a new clearing she had found, and make a sketch of the area. It had a little stream running through it, and she had the feeling this stream was a watering spot for many pokémon in the woods. Making a sketch of the place seemed like a logical next step, so she had loaded up her sketchbook and a little drawing pad as well as a few pencils and hiked out.
She had only been drawing for about an hour when something landed on her head and.... squeaked at her? Looking up, she was startled to find a small green pokémon making off with her sketchbook. "Hey, that's mine!" She exclaimed, only belatedly realizing that what she was looking at was no ordinary wild pokémon, but rather a legendary, and a rather vain and incautious one at that if he was going to just plunk down in her lap and berate her for her drawings.
"Well," she said, trying to keep the shaking out of her voice as she stared down into the big blue eyes of the tiny fairy, "I could draw you into the scene if you would like?" Was that what he wanted? She wouldn't mind obliging him if that was the case! It was a rare and wonderful opportunity to get to see a legendary, let alone interact with and possibly sketch one!
-------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, at the edge of the clearing and just out of sight of the human, there was another Celebi resting on a tree branch. Unlike her brother, this one was a pale pink, with bright green eyes and antennae. She didn't approve of his visiting with a human - didn't he know those were dangerous? Didn't he have any sense?
Well, she certainly didn't think so!
"Biiii! Bibibi bi biiiii," she whispered in a fierce tone, hovering off the branch to try and catch the other celebi's attention without alerting the creepy human he was idling about with. She wanted him to get away from there, to get back into the trees where he could hide and be safe - and most importantly of all, play with her!
He was her brother, he was supposed to play with her!
Not strange creepy smelly humans!

At the promise that Mariana would add him to the sketch, the tiny green celebi flew up from the woman's lap, balanced on her right shoulder--and leaned in to nuzzle her cheek. "Bibibibibi!" he exclaimed, quite pleased that she had understood his point. She was going to draw him! He took one of her pencils, chirping as he returned to her lap. He held it out to her. "Bi?" She would make him perfectly, wouldn't she? For he was perfect, wasn't he? He was!
"Bi?" he asked, rather impatiently, tapping on her sketch book with a hand. Blue eyes watched Mariana's every move, almost critically. He waited another moment before taking another one of her pencils and moving next to her. He layed on his stomach on the loamy earth and started to scribble. The end result was a rather large circular--something with two smaller circularr--somethings--and a curve in the middle of those two. He looked up at Mariana expectantly.
Look! It was her! Did she like it?
He only looked up briefly to notice Cecily. He blew a raspberry in her general direction. Didn't she know how nice humans could be? Didn't she have any sense? He didn't think so!

Mariana gave a little gasp and stopped sketching for a moment. Clapping her hands, she at the drawing the celebi had made. "Oh, what a lovely portrait of me! You're quite the little artist, aren't you?" she asked before picking up her pencils and going back to her sketch, which featured the little Celebi flying toward the artist, arms and wings spread. As she added a bit of shine to the drawing-celebi's eyes, she tilted the book so that he could see her work. "Well, what do you think? Did I get your good side?"
Back at the edge of the clearing, the shiny Celebi made a face and blew a raspberry back at her brother, before flitting over to another tree and... starting to pelt nuts at the two of them. "Biiii! Bii bi bi biii!" she complained, aiming a nut right at the back of her brother's head... only to miss and watch it roll beside his hand instead. "Biiiiiiiii!" This wasn't fair, why wasn't he coming back? It was too dangerous there, the human was going to catch him and take him away and - and she would never see him again! Upset by her own train of thought, the green-eyed Celebi started to cry, clinging onto her branch-perch for dear life.

Brennen studied Mariana's sketch with a critical eye. Then he spread his arms out, taking flight. He flew close to the woman's face and studied her. He smiled and attached himself to her face. "Bibibibibibibi!" he exclaimed excitedly. "Bibibi!" he took the sketch book from her after carefully pressing his nose to hers and flew off.
Perhaps unknown to Mariana, the green celebi was not far away. "Bibi!" Brennen was attempting to cheer his sister up. He showed her the sketch and pointed at it. He pointed at himself excitedly. "Bibibi! Bibi!" He took hold of her hand and led her over to Mariana. "Bibi!" There was no need to be afraid! Mariana was nice, and maybe she would sketch a picture of Cecily too!
He handed the sketchbook to Mariana reluctantly. Maybe she would let him keep it later.

Mariana chuckled s the Celebi voiced his appreciation, and wondered where he was going when he flew away. It seemed odd for him to leave so suddenly, when he had been keeping company with her and wanted to have his picture drawn. "Where are you going?" she called after him, starting to get to her feet and trying to see where he had flown off to. "Celebi?" She didn't have time to do more than get to her knees, however, before he was back again, and... with another Celebi in tow, this one an unusual pink and green.
For her part, Cecily was not happy. Not only did her brother deny her her chance to cry out her feelings, he was dragging her over to the scary human!"Biii! bibi bi biiiii!" she shrieked, eyes wide and terrified as she tried to avoid going near the human. "Bibibi, bibi, bii!"
Mariana, startled by the pink one's fear, took the sketchbook back from the green Celebi with a hesitant expression, finally carefully tugging the picture out of it to hand back to him. "Here now, you don't have to force anyone to be here... did you want your picture?"

Brenny tried to explain to Cecily in the most patient terms that Mariana was not going to hurt them. It was okay! They were safe, she was nice! She really was! He let go of his sister's hand to attach himself to Mariana. "Bi..." he said softly. He hadn't meant to frighten his sister. He had only wanted for her to have good friends and fun! He buried himself in Mariana's hair for a brief moment before the woman offered him the sketch. Sorrows forgotten, he took it and hugged it to himself.
He flew around Mariana in circles. "Bibibibibibi!" he exclaimed excitedly. He showed the sketch to Cecily rather proudly. "Bibi!" he flew close to Mariana once more, plopping down on her shoulder. He poked at her ear with a hand. "Bibi?" He moved closer, curious. What was in this--strange thing? "Bibi?"
He moved from Mariana's shoulder to sit in front of her. He picked up one of her pencils and poked her knee with it. "Bi?"

Cecily, taking the chance offered to her when her brother dropped her hand, fled to a tree on the other side of the clearing, across the stream. Once there, she climbed into a hollow in the trunk that was just big enough for her and peered out at Brennen and Mariana.
"Bibi! Biibiii bi bibi bi biiii bibibibibibibibibibibibi!" She called out, sounding more huffy now than frightened. He could have just let her be, or - or tried to introduce her more slowly, did he have to drag her right over there? The human was scary, and she talked funny! And - and she smelled, she didn't want to be near a stinky stinky human! Puffing out her checks and folding her arms, Cecily blew a raspberry at her brother and stared suspiciously at Mariana, daring her to try and throw one of those ball things at her or her brother.
Mariana, however, had no intention of doing anything like that. The human was too entranced by the behavior of the little green Celebi to be bothered by the fact that his pink sibling seemed to distrust her so much. As hepoked her ear, she gently nudged him away with a giggle, then grabbed her maller sketchpad, offering it to the little fellow.
"Would you like this?" She asked. "With this and that pencil you took, you could draw some nice pictures if you wanted." Checking a watch on her wrist, Mariana pursed her lips and sighed. "I can't stay too much longer, but I can promise to come back, okay? And if you've used up all this paper and can't use your pencil by then, I'll bring you some more! How does that sound, Celebi?"

Brennen stared at Mariana for a long time, seemingly unable to comprehend why she would give him such a wonderful gift. He wrapped his arms around the sketch book, beaming up at her. "Bibi!" he said gratefully. Then he seemed to take her words into accountr. He shook his head vigorously, putting the sketch pad down and instead attaching himself to her. He wouldn't let her leave! She couldn't leave! She was his friend now! "Bi!" he scolded her, shaking his head.
No, she couldn't leave! She had to sketch more! She had to play more! He clung to her as tightly as he could--and burst into tears. She couldn't leave! He'd found her, she was his! "Bibibibi!" He moved from her arm to look her in the eye, sniffling. He attached himself to her face. "Biiiiiiiiiiii!"

"You don't want me to leave?" Mariana asked, chuckling a little and returning the little Celebi's hug... although not about the face. "Ah! Celebi, I... kind of need to breathe," she said, though there was laughter in her voice. "I'll come back, okay? I have to go, because there are pokémon at home that need me, but I promise to come back and play with you." It was the best that the young researcher could offer - she certainly didn't want to try to capture the little fellow, it didn't seem right to do that to a legendary!
Cecily, meanwhile, peered out from her hollow in the tree trunk and blew a raspberry at her brother. Why did he need that human? He had her to play with! He should come back and hug her now, and leave that silly stinky human to her dumb pet pokémon! "Biiii! Bii bi biiiiiiii!"

Brennen moved from Mariana's face. He put a hand to her cheek, tilting his head. "Bi...?" he asked, tilting his head. Couldn't she stay? She could forget those other pokemon! She could stay and play with him! "Bibi!" he attached himself to her shirt instead, hoping to find somewhere he could hide. She'd have to take him home, then! And maybe she'd give him something nice to eat, even.
He shook his head at her. Did she really think she could get away from him? "Bibibibibi!" he scolded her. He flew to her shoulder, rubbing her cheek with his own. "Bibi!"
He took up the sketchbook and pencil she had provided them and flew off to meet his sister. He put his new things in the hollow of the tree. "Come on, it's safe," he reassured her. "She won't hurt us. She won't." He took Cecily's hand and led her--slowly, to the woman. "She's nice. She won't take us away. She just wants to see how pretty you are!"

"A-a-ah," Mariana chuckled as the little green Celebi clung to her shirt - that tickled! When he rubbed up against her face, she nuzzled him back and smiled. "Well, you can come visit me too if you wanted," she said with a giggle. 'I just don't want you to feel forced or trapped, that's all." There was no time to say more, however, as the little fairy pokémon had already flown off, probably to talk to his pink sibling.
Well then, she might as well see about getting her things together to go while he talked with the other Celebi. There wasn't much else she could do, seeing that she really did need to get going. If Alistair was left alone in the house too long, he might start tearing things up trying to find her, and she had no idea how Jacen would do without her around. The Vanillite was still getting used to his new home, after all. She needed to check in on him!
---------
Cecily resisted her brother's attempts to drag her over to the human, clinging stubbornly to the tree and shaking her head at him. "No! No, no, she'll catch us, catch you, take you away and lock you in a ball and - and I won't have you any more! Stay here, Brennan, it's safe here, please! Don't do this!" To say that Cecily was upset with her brother's behavior today was something of an understatement.
The little pink Celibi wrapped her little hand around the tree branch and grabbed hold of it, puffing out her cheeks and glaring stubbornly at her brother. She wasn't going over there, and he couldn't make her! He could never make her!
