China CountryThis land in the Quadling Country is inhabited by people and things made of china, and it is surrounded by a high wall which is also made of china. Passing through here leads to the palace that is home to Glenda the Good, but be wary, for the tiniest trip could cause the entire town to shatter.

Trenton 'Toto' Just ignore him, Trenton, the white-haired inu told himself, his eye twitching. The group of four - Deidre, Resin, Dorothy, and himself - had ventured out of the mysterious woods the cyborg used for a home and found themselves in the town made only of fine glass and porcelain. China Town, a place that offered many memories, and a fragile outlook on things. Of course, Trenton couldn't take the time to reminisce, for he was busy trying to blot out the sounds coming out of Deidre's mouth. Those annoying, persistent sounds. Maybe he'll go away if I ignore him. He reasoned this with himself for the past couple hours, during the entire journey from the distance to the town. The man had kept badgering him about his feelings for Dorothy, and though there were thousands of things he could say, he didn't have any intention of pouring his soul out to... him.

After a while, Deidre finally stopped pestering him, then smirked. "Well, since you obviously don't want her, maybe I'll go for her. She's cute, fiery, she'll do well in the bedroom, don't you think, dog?"In front of them, Dorothy laughed as Resin chased around a butterfly, pushing her sun-soaked hair back every now and then. She'd changed into a pair of white shorts and a gingham belly tank top not long ago, solid red converse somehow shining on her feet. With her hair in her braids, she looked almost normal...and almost pretty. Deidre grinned, licking his lips. "I think she's a screamer. It's going to be fun proving myself right~"

Making sure Resin and Dorothy - especially Dorothy - weren't watching, Trenton turned around and grabbed Deidre by the collar. Snarling, he lifted him up in the air. "Don't you dare even lay a hand on her." he seethed, fury in his green eyes.

"Mmm, you're cute when you're mad," he purred, his feet just barely lifting off the ground. "Why shouldn't I take that cute thing to bed? It's obvious that you're not going for her, and besides, why would she take you seriously? She'd think you're just playing a joke on her, trying to make fun of her feelings for you." His eyes grew hard. "At least with me, she can be happy. She can go home with me on her arm, and be happy. I'm smart enough to invent something to hold us for years with a good income. You're just a dumb dog who can't even cross over to her world with her."

The inu's eyes widened for a second before narrowing. "The f_ck are you to talk like that, you arrogant tin can!" he snarled viciously, his grip tightening until his knuckles were as white as his hair. "I've been her pet for years - whether I liked it or not - I know everything about her! I know what she likes, what she hates, what she fears, and I can damn well take care of her when she needs it!" His anger peaking, he dropped the cyborg onto the ground unceremoniously. "You have the audacity to try and tell me she'd be better off with you? You?" He scoffed. "You're just some sleezeball to her, even you know that. Something you can create? Either some con trick or a killing machine, maybe both. She'd never be happy with you." he spat.

Deidre hit the ground with his feet, standing with ease. "At least when she goes back to her world with me, she'll be able to have sex with me," he murmured, his eyes glaring into Trenton's. "And honestly, sex with me, would be ten times better than a stupid poodle that you can ever offer. Then again, virgins attract virgins."Dorothy giggled from a distance, petting Resin's head gently.

"She doesn't need sex to be happy!" he argued. "I..." He drifted off, seeing every hold Deidre pointed out, or perhaps the largest, and only, one. He and Dorothy were from different worlds. This time they had together was temporary, and even should he... confess to her, she'd just go back to her old world then. And if he were to join her... he'd be a dog once more. So in the end.... there's no point. Realization hitting him, Trenton stared at the ground next to Deidre, a fleet of emotions flying across his mind, heart, body, face, and anything it could reach. There's no point. Those three words repeated in his head over and over, each time adding more despair to his forlorn face.

"But hey, if she really loves you as much as she's told me," he said, staring off at the pretty young girl who was being carried by the madman, "then you shouldn't let that stop you. I think...I think she'd stay if you asked her to, and only if you did. She'd never stay for me." He sighed, tugging out a cigarette and lighting up. "She'd go wherever you asked her to go, Trenton, and only for you. Wish you were smart enough to abuse it."

"Heh, I'm just her pet pup in her eyes." Trenton chuckled bitterly, his ears flattened against his head in dismay. "There's no way she'd fall for me after all our time as pet and girl." He lifted his gaze and watched Dorothy struggle to get off Resin, his eyes cloaked with sadness. "And.... And even if she did care about me, this isn't her world. She has another life waiting for her, a family that loves her and friends that miss her." His eyes narrowed sorrowfully. "And probably some punk waiting to sweep her off her feet."

He shrugged, blowing out a stream of grey smoke. "What harm is there in trying to win her, then?" Deidre asked, watching the laughing girl get tickled by the madman. "Or...you could ask the Wizard to make you human, so you can go back with her. There's always that." The Tin Man turned to Trenton, running his free hand through his hair. "If he can give me a heart, Resin a mind, and get her home, he can take away those ears and that tail. Is the girl worth losing what you are, though?"

The inu paused. The Wizard.... It was so simple! Trenton almost let a smile flow through his face, but his doubts kept him at bay. "So... how exactly does she feel about me again?" he asked Deidre almost childishly, one ear up and the other flopping down.

Trenton reflected the smile then looked back towards Dorothy. Furrowing his eyebrows nervously, he reached up and scratched the back of his head. "Ah... I don't even know how to tell her..." he muttered more to himself than to his companion.

Awesome nerd Yo, when're you bringing in the Lion? I CAN'T BE ALL THE PEOPLE IN THIS STORY "Here's an idea: just tell her," said the man, rolling his eyes. "She's simple enough, she'll get it."Dorothy laughed as she hit the ground. "Get back here!" she yelled, chasing after Resin.
