Bowser: Tonight was the night of the gala to welcome in the new year. All the koopas had been invited and many of them danced to the jitterbug out on the dance floor now. No one from the mushroom kingdom was invited to this ball, as it would have it, they were throwing their own. Bowser chuckled and looked down upon his citizens. They'd been working hard day in and day out and now they deserved this much needed break. The music stopped and he cleared his throat. "Welcome one and all to my gala!" He boomed, throwing his arms open wide. The crowds below wooped and cheered in response. "Enjoy your vacation because it'll be the last you get you scoundrals!" More woops and cheers with the ocassional jar thrown back at him. He laughed again and walked away from the balcony, heading to the stairs that would lead to the dance floor wondering what interesting people he would run into tonight.

Mihaela: She'd been looking forward to this night for awhile, although she wasn't entirely sure why. Did she want to make friends? Of course not. Friends were for weaklings. Did she want to dance?Absolutely not. Dancing was a waste of time, although the entire thing seemed pointless to her. She rationalized with herself that she only wanted to see the look on those koopas' faces when she showed up in what she considered to be her best dress yet. Really, it would probably be best to show up, blow their minds, then leave; less time wasted that way. She primped herself in front of her full length mirror with an overly arrogant smirk on her face. She couldn't wait. It took her little to no time to get there, and of course the koopas had fawned over her like they should, which she loved, but the crowd of admirers slowly thinned out and she became bored again, relegated to the side wall as everyone enjoyed themselves-away from her. With a sigh. she headed into the crowd to find at least one semi-intelligent person to talk to for the duration of the time.

Bowser: He walked down the stairs, taking his time to nod or scowl at people in acknowledgement. A young koopa and her husband came up and began telling him about all their koopa babies. How little Koopa Jr. was just starting to call and how Susie Koopa, his older sister, had made him a stuffed toy of mario to punch. The work started young in these ones. Bowser held in a sigh as he nodded at the conversation, not really listening, and instead letting his eyes wander around the dance floor. A sparkle caught the light from the chandelier torches above, but then disappeared back into the crowd as quickly as it had appeared. Raising an eyebrow in interest he excused himself and made a dash for the dance floor. Carefully shifting through the crowd he chased after the glimpse of the sparkle. 'What could it have been?'

Mihaela: Mihaela worked the room, stopping here and there to talk to someone who seemed promising. There was one problem; they were all deeply obsessed with their hatred of the mushroom kingdoom. As in, they would speak of nothing but. The second she attempted to draw the conversation away, they would bring it back around, as if the conversation were a boomerang. Time after time after time it happened, and she was becoming quickly . . . bored. Again. After an hour of this repetitive pattern, she relegated herself to the wall again, watching the crowd. While she'd been walking, she'd noticed one person who seemed to be following her. She'd thought at the time otherwise, that maybe it was merely a coincidence, but there he was again. Coincidences only worked for so long. She strode from her position against the wall to confront her stalker head on. "Hello," she began, folding her arms across her chest. "Is there any particular reason you felt like following me?"

Bowser: Chasing after the sparkle he found it kept twinkling just outside his vision. He tried to keep up with it but kept falling behind being pulled into conversations left and right. Finally, he thought he'd lost it. "Damn..." he cursed under his breath getting ready to turn away and back into the crowd, when his eye caught the sparkle again. He turned a saw a young woman leaning against the wall, arms crossed, starring directly at her. She was wearing a stunning blue dress which caught the light when she moved, forming the sparkle. His eyes widened and he walked slowly towards her. She greeted him and he nodded. As she asked her next question Bowser was taken a back. "Who are you and how did you get into the party in the first place?" If she didn't already know who he was he was not going to inform her at this point. That often led to... disastrous ends.

Mihaela: Mihaela raised her eyebrows in mock surprise. "Moi? I am Mihaela, and as for how I came to be here . . . well that's just none of your business, now is it? Really, I ought to be the one asking the questions, don't you think? You do happen to be the one following me, yes? And you still have yet to inform me why you were following me." She waved at him in a "go on" gesture, waiting patiently for him to give her the explanation she desired.

Bowser: He snorted, she was precocious like all the other women he seemed to have met. He raised an eyebrow at her, debating what to say. She was obviously strong-willed and would not be taking no for an answer. He bickered back and forth in his mind finally settling on the truth. That was the best way to lie after all. "Your dress." He nodded at it. "It caught the light in such a way that I couldn't pull my eyes off of it." He looked back up at her face. "I was intrigued to find out who was wearing it."
