We'll continue here

draconicfeline
hurrr

Draconicfeline:
"Sis... Sis! She's here! Again! Staring at us from across the street!" hissed Han, peeking out between the curtains at the window the twins shared.
"Maybe she wont.... oh s**t, she saw us. She's... waving."
Han leapt back from the window.
"Sis, that slaugh won't let up. She wants to play but... she scares me... Sis..."
Han looked at his twin anxiously, "What do we do?"

a pet dino:
Gretta smiled at her brother and shook her head. "Maybe if you didn't look out the window so much she won't look at us all the time." she said as she went to look out the window. The Slaugh was indeed waving at them, and Gretta waved back. "I feel kind of bad... No one ever plays with, and well she has already seen us. Maybe just this once we should go out and play with her?" Gretta suggested.

Draconicfeline:
"Sis... are you kidding?!" Han stared at his sister with wide eyes.
"Shes... shes... dangerous! Have you seen the way she stares at us sometimes?!"
Honestly, the slaugh had never done anything wrong... its just... Han had always had a bad feeling about her...
Han gestured violently. "It's like she's... she's... hungry!"
He put some distance between himself and the window.
"Please, sis, lets play inside today..."

a pet dino:
Gretta took a deep breath. She understood what her brother was talking about. The Slaugh did have this creepy look to her. Like she wanted to eat the other kids that lived around there. It was no wonder that no one wanted to play with her. "I understand what your saying Han, but it's not her fault she looks like that. I mean she is a Slaugh. But maybe she is nice? And maybe she would be nicer and not look so mean and hungry if she had someone to play with." She took a breath and shook her head. "We always play inside. Today we should go play with her."

Draconicfeline:
"Its not that... well, okay, maybe it is a bit that. She does look terrifying, but it's not that... Its..."
The boy sighed.
"Oh fine."
He couldn't argue with Gretta. He couldn't stay behind and play inside by himself. He honestly didn't know what he would do if she wasn't there.
A little voice niggled at him: Maybe he should try playing on his own today... let her play with the creepy slaugh kid on her own.
But no! What if the slaugh was actually dangerous! And something happened while they played! And he wasn't there to help his sister!
Oh that would be such a tragedy!
"But if she does anything strange, we're leaving." He hesitated, "Strange bad. Not... you know what I mean."
They were all strange, weren't they.

a pet dino:

Gretta put her hands on her hips as her brother talked. He knew she was right in wanting to play with the Slaugh. As she waited for her brother to make a choice she looked back out the window and put one finger up to show the Slaugh that she would be coming out in a second. Even if her brother wasn't going she was going to go play outside. Looking back at her brother she smiled, happy that he was coming. "Don't worry, if anything bad happens I will protect you."

draconicfeline:
"Protect? Me?"
Han rolled his eyes as he grabbed a few hula hoops, a bouncy ball, and a few packs of cards from his brief stint of card game tournaments.
"Gretta...!" He gave her a look of chagrined annoyance, "How many bullies have you had to suffer? And who stepped up each time?"
he grabbed a bag.
"Me. Thats who. Don't talk to me about protecting..." he grumbled, "I still think this is a terrible idea..."

a pet dino:
Gretta rolled her eyes as he talked. Oh her brother had protected her a few times, he wasn't lying about that, but there had been many more times when she had protected him from bullies and rumors that he didn't know about. Sure he was the bigger one and appeared the protector of the two, but she had protected him many times as well, he just didn't know about those times. "Well if you think it's so terrible then I will go myself." she said as she took a hula hoop from him, her favorite toy.

draconicfeline:
"What?!" he hustled after her. "No you don't! I'm coming with you." He couldn't let her go out on her own like that!

"eeeeey!" called the slaugh, waving ever more enthusiastically at the elves as they left the house. Were they coming out to play? Maybe she could play with them, finally! They seemed so nice.

Han looked up and grimaced. "Great. Now we can't get out of playing with her. Wonderful." He gave his sister a look before manning up.

He took a deep breath.
"Hey Sally. Its a nice day out... huh..."
He normally wasn't so awkward when he talked but damn it, the slaugh put him on EDGE. Normally he was a fast-talking clever kid, a proto-con-artist.
But this damn slaugh... she made him scared with that toothy smile of hers and that... candy thing...
"We were... just going out to play... want to..." ugh, he couldn't say it. He just couldn't willingly put his head in the lion's mouth like that.

a pet dino
Gretta walked over to Sally with a smile, ignoring her brother as he complained about not being able to get out of playing with the Slaugh. "Want to play with us Sally? We have hula hoops and all kinds of toys." Closer up the Slaugh didn't look that bad, or at least that was what she was telling herself. She wanted to laugh at her brother, but she knew better then that. It was just strange seeing him as if he didn't know what to say when he almost ALWAYS had something to say. "So what do you say Sally? Want to come?" She asked again.

draconicfeline”
"Do... Yes!" squealed Sally, her smile, somehow, growing wider, "Hula hoops... I don't know how..."

Han wasn't sure what to do when his sister approached the slaugh. Should he step up to be her bodyguard? Or follow his instincts and step back.

"I mean... nobody ever taught me"
Sally looked away shyly.

"Yeah? I wonder why." muttered Han. The Slaugh was so much older than them...

"Hmm?

"Nothing." grumbled Han, holding out a Hula Hoop loosely, as if it was a dead animal.

a pet dino:
Gretta looked back and glared at Han. If he was going to be rude then he should have just stayed in the house! "That's okay, I can teach you! Hula hopping is my favorite. Look take the one that Han is offering and do like this." she smiled at Sally and took her own hula hoop in her hands and started to twirl it around her waist. "Come on, you can do it!" She encouraged.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 25, 2013 3:38 pm

Sally took the hula hoop from Han with a happy and grateful sharklike smile that he didn't deserve at all.
The girl moved her waist so well! Sally wondered if she could do that too!
She looped the hula hoop around her and watched Gretta for a moment."So you just... do that?" she asked, wide eyed and hopeful... that the girl would play with her.

Wereloc was amused by the elf's kindness and generousity. A hula hoop. How nice.
He smirked quietly. He'd let Sally play for a time. Then but in and rob her of her friends.
I'll bet you can't do it he said mildly. Mainly for flavor, mainly because that was just what he did. He didn't particluarly care about upseting her. It was still early in the game for this friendship.
Soon... he told himself... soon I will have their blood and flesh.
If you don't do it right, Sally, she'll hate you. She'll know you're lesser than her. She won't be so nice.
Wereloc smirked again. He loved toying with sally.

Sally's expression twitched.
"You're wrong..." she thought at Wereloc, "She doesn't care about that!

You're so sure, aren't you. Well why don't you try? And fail?

"You'll see! I can make friends!"
She began angrily spinning the hoop. But her hips were too stiff from the nerves that Wereloc had given her, and the hoop fell to the ground.
She tried again.
The hoop fell to the ground.
She picked it up. Tried again.
It twirled... then it fell to the ground.
She picked it up. Again. and just looked at it, frowning like someone had hurt her puppy.

"I... I'm sorry." she said, looking worriedly at Gretta, "I... got it dirty."

"So what. They're freaking hula hoops. Nobody cares if they get dirty You just. Freaking. Wash them."
Han wasn't sure whether to be pissed, pitying, or aloof, so he tried all three, standing back against the curb and watching the girls twirl a hula hoop around.
He liked hula hoops, but today... Right now... They were for girls.

And normally he was in touch with his feminine side. He even liked painting his nails. And Grettas nails. And there was that time when he had dressed up in a ballerina outfit...

But no. Right now he was grumpy, a bit afraid, and insecure. He had to be manly right now. Just had to.

He was only here for Gretta. He was only here for Gretta.
He did not like Sally's sharp teeth. He did not like her claws. He did not like that twitch of hers.

"I'm Han. She's Gretta." he said, coldly. Introductions hadn't happened and like hell was he shaking her hand.
PostPosted: Fri Jan 25, 2013 9:23 pm

Gretta looked over at Han with a glare. "Don't worry about it, when I was learning mine was super dirty since I dropped it all the time." She looked back at Sally. "That was really good for your first try." she said encouragingly. "Do you want to try again? If you loosen up your hips, like this, then it will be a little easier." she said as she grabbed her hula hoop and did it again, hoping that Sally would be able to do it for at least a little longer then last time.

She didn't even realize that her and Han hadn't told Sally their names. She just assumed that Sally knew who they were since they both knew who she was. "How silly am I! I almost forgot to introduce us, sorry about that." she said with a laugh. If Sally couldn't learn to hula hoop they would have to find something she was good at to play, after all it would suck at being bad at something.

Ugh. Everybody was being so saccharine to the little failure. Didn't matter. Didn't matter. He would have patience. PATIENCE. Even though he was drooling with anticipation...

"You'll... let me try again?"
She picked up the hula hoop and put it back on, smiling in wonder at... people giving her chances!
"I'm Sally..." she bet they already knew that. She blushed a bit.
She didn't bother to introduce Wereloc.

... and that was just the way he liked it. He hated introductions. He rarely made any that didn't involve killing or biting.
Those he did like, dont get him wrong. But they wern't worth much usually. CHOMP. HELLO, OH WELL YOUR DEAD NO CONVERSATION THERE. I CANT EVEN MAKE YOUR HEAD TALK BECAUSE I ATE IT.
Which was a shame, actually, because he did like talking.
He just... pretended to be Sally. ******** scary Sally. Hehehe. He sat back to watch her be her stupid happy self

She was differently proportioned, but loosening her hips was easy enough. She was disturbingly sinuous, being a slaugh.
"Like this?" she asked, desperate for approval.
Thing was her hips just didn't want to do that when loosened. She stared at her hips, holding the hoop.
"Okay..." she tried... and hit herself in the head with the hoop with a badly timed bizzare movement.
Maybe slaughs shouldn't try to hula hoop.

Wereloc was trying not to laugh at the shocked upsetted... ness that shot through her mind.
Really he was.
PostPosted: Mon Jan 28, 2013 2:55 pm

"HAHAHAHA oh my god..."
Han cracked up, falling onto the pavement. He wiped his eyes, "That was... just so..." he broke down into laughter again.
[B}"What the hell was that, even?"
Oh man. That was just too much. How in the world did anybody manage to hit themselves with a hula hoop?!
"Hahahaha!" Oh man, Gretta would be pissed. He could tell she was already pissed at him , but oh it was just too funny.

Crap though.
She was bleeding.
"Haha. ha..." Now he just felt bad for her. He shuffled through his pocket, finding a lovely fresh band-aid that just HAPPENED to be there.
For all he knew, it had been there all along. Or he had packed it and forgot.
Nah, it was fresh. But since he told himself that COULD have happened, it was there.
He held it out to her. Sure it was just a scratch but still! Could never be too careful with something that had been on the dirty street.
"Pffffhaha... Here, use this." he couldn't stop... giggling... Pahahaha! Seriously! Hitting herself with a hula hoop...

((He just used his utility power))

Sally smiled, "It's nice to meet you Sally." she said when the girl introduced herself. She already knew the girls name, but it was nice that she introduced herself. It was very polite. She watched as Sally tried to hula hoop again and failed, she was very shocked when the girl hit herself and her eyes went wide.

She was about to say something when her brother erupted in laughter. She was so mad she could kill him. When she realized that Sally was bleeding she moved closer to the girl. "Does it hurt?" she asked as she snatched the band aid from her bothers hands and moved to put it on Sally. "Here, I'll put it on." she said with a smile as she places the band aid over the cut. "Much better! she said with a smile.

"So do you like to play jacks? Hop scotch?" she asked hoping to find something that Sally would like to play.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 03, 2013 8:53 am

Ugh
Wereloc was disgusted by all this sweet happy kindness.
He was so tempted to do something. Something horrible.
So very tempted.

"Jacks...?" She'd... no. She'd played that. With Wereloc.
He liked to make sure the little things hit her face.
"Hopscotch... Maybe.... uh..."

"Lets play Jacks."
Wereloc took control briefly and smirked.

The smirk faded from Sally's face as she returned to control. Her eyes grew wide.
Jacks?! no! She... she didn't want to play jacks!
"I don't..."

"I LOVE Jacks. It's such a great game."
They smiled, teeth sharp and scary.
Wereloc laughed inside Sally's head.

Sally, booted from her own body for a moment, cried. She didn't want to get hit in the face! She wanted to play hopscotch.

Oh please.
The smile was still on Sally's face. But it wasn't Sally that stared hungrily at the twins.

He winced at Gretta's anger.
Oh come on. It had been hilarious!
She had hit. Herself. With a hula hoop.
What, sis, not even a freaking thank you for the band-aid? he thought sarcastically.
Pfff...
Oh it was still too funny.

"Hopscotch... Really..."
What a girly game.
"How about monopoly or catch or..."

What the hell was going on with that girl's face.
"Or Jacks. We can play jacks too."
He'd just go inside and get...
Seriously. That girl's face. His laughter died. Her smile was just... scary. Big and sharp and...
"I'll just... Go get it... now..." No, wait, Gretta. "Hey, Gretta, come and help me find it."
He wished she could read his thoughts.
Sis... Don't let me leave you here alone with... that smile...
PostPosted: Tue Feb 05, 2013 4:20 pm

Gretta watched as Sally didn't seem to want to play jacks and then all of a sudden thought it was a good idea. Then again she was about to say she didn't something before saying that she loved jacks. She was a little confused, but maybe it was because not many people play with Sally? Of course the less play time you had as a child the less you would know how to play, it all made sense to Gretta.

She turned to her brother with a smile. Oh monopoly was a good grade, if Sally didn't seem to want to play jacks so bad then she would have suggested that game. "Maybe after jacks we can play monopoly." she suggested.

When Han said she should come and help him find the jacks she rolled her eyes. He was the last person who had them, she would be of no help finding them. "You had them last Han, I don't know where you put them. I'll just wait out here with Sally and keep her company." she said before looking at Sally with a nod. Was it her imagination or had Sally's smile become bigger? More... Menacing.

Monopoly. Right. He'd get that too.
"I... fine..." he gave Sally a frightened look, then looked at Gretta.
What if something happened to her?
Nervously, he walked back to the house, looking back often to see if she was still okay...
Eventually, he had to go through the door, which would block his line of sight.
s**t. s**t s**t s**t...
He tried to find the damn games as quickly as possible, but thoughts of all the BAD THINGS that could be happening to his sister echoed through his mind and kept him from remembering...

Where was it? Where was it? Where the hell was it?

He scrabbled at the closets and, finally... There they were! Jacks. And the bouncing balls. Perfect! Now he could...
Oh. Right. Monopoly too. He scrabbled for it in the closet again.
He'd been gone for, like, 30 minutes (only 5 at most, really) oh no what could have happened to her in that time?
Gretta?
He knew she was at least still alive...
He spotted the game, grabbed it, and ran as fast as he could outside.
PostPosted: Sun Feb 10, 2013 11:38 am

"So. Gretta."
He had almost called her 'little girl' and broken his ruse. Good thing he had actually been paying attention to the introductions.
They were alone. It was such an oppurtunity...
Look at the little elf. So much younger than Sally. So much COLOR.
He could feel himself salivating, and he ran his tongue over their teeth before smiling again.
She looked delicious.
"Other than Jacks and monopoly and..." he sneered "Hopscotch, what else do you like to do?"
It was so... tempting... to shut off Sally, loosen his jaw, and bite the little girl in front of him. Mmm. The blood. The screams... reverberating inside his head... Cut off suddenly...
He salivated more.
He'd resist. It felt so good to resist. So good... and so bad...
But... but... it was such a good oppurtunity.

Sally pushed against him. He did this... sometimes...
I want to talk... she's my friend, not yours. she muttered unhappily.
I don't like jacks. I don't like monopoly.

Wereloc resisted her pushing with some vague effort. He'd let her back in control when he wanted to do so.
He did like monopoly. He was ruthless.
What he didn't like was losing monopoly. That wasn't so fun.
You'd only screw it up. You wanted friends, right? I'm trying to help you. an utter lie Not that it matters, they'll only betray you in the end.
They always do.

On second thought, he would have a glorious chance to devour her little... friends... soon anyway. He could let them go for now.
His smile remained.
"I like basketball." he added.

The look that Han gave her confused her. Why was he so frightened? Honestly, it wasn't like Sally was some blood thirsty monster. She actually seemed pretty nice, she just needed friends. Sure she didn't look like the nicest kid around, but that was due to her race and nothing more. Her father always told her you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover and she didn't plan on judging Sally by her looks.

It was funny though, there was something different about Sally when she spoke now, though she couldn't put her finger on what it was. "Well I like playing just about anything really. I also like to explore." she offered. When Sally said she liked basketball Gretta nodded. "I'm to short to be good at that game." she said with a laugh. "I'm better at soccer or baseball really."
PostPosted: Mon Feb 18, 2013 8:20 pm

"Soccer? Hmmm..."
Actually, Wereloc had never played it.
Or remember playing it.
Huh.

Sally took advantage of Wereloc's distraction to take back control. She tried to hide it out of fear, the mood shift, the desperate struggle.
She really wanted these friends. Her smile thinned into something less threatening.

Wereloc let her for now. She wouldn't ruin the fun. She couldn't.
He was trying to remember.
There was something about Soccer that hinted at something interesting to remember...
But it just wasn't coming.
What was it?!

"I... Like baseball..."
Normally she didn't like things where things flew at your face, but this was an exception. She wasn't very good at hitting the ball, but running and catching, she could do that!
Then of course things hit her in the face.
It was the same with basketball...
She didn't like soccer though. She didn't kick very hard.
"Exploring? Really?" She wasn't very good at that. She'd always stayed near home. Wereloc had told her to, and she had believed him.
"Do you go into haunted houses an' abandoned mines?" she asked curiously.
They were in movies so surely they would exist in real life!

What was it?!

Han raced through the house with the games as quickly as the elf possibly could go.
He barely missed crashing into a couch and a chair. He barely managed to not run headfirst into a door.
Panting, eyes wide, he charged through and stood on the stoop, dreading what he would see when the glare of the late afternoon sun left his eyes.
It felt like a horror movie, where the protagonist runs and runs from some shadowy and undefinable terror.
Except it was in his own house.
Or outside of it.
Han was not a fan of scary things. He liked things to stay nice and normal, thank you.

The glare faded and he was flooded, positively flooded, with relief.
Gretta was still alive. Sally hadn't done anything.
"I brought... the games..." he gasped slumping in exhaustion as he rested the boxes on the ground.
