The Gastly tried to roll out of the way, but was no match for the Houndoom's speed. With a dark look, he disappeared from view before reappearing behind the Pokémon. He released a pulse of dark energy at his opponent.

Anja snapped her sharp gaze around, lips pulled back to maintain a merciless snarl, as she sought out her opponent. But as ghosts tend to do, it vanished before her. She tried to listen, and wait, but was shocked by the sneak attack that hit her from behind. And a crit at that, sending her skidding forward. Sabre grit his teeth, ushering out another attack for his companion.

Gastly spun around, his ego easily boosted, and just as easily broken from the Houndoom's next attack. The ghostly flames about his form crackled with distaste, and he released a plume of smog.

The smog caused her eyes to squint, and a low grow to hum in her throat. But with a flamethrower, she burst through the thick smog that tainted the air, aiming for the sound of that irritating floating orb.

Gastly made a shrill scream as he floated downwards. It appeared he'd fainted but, as his neared the floor, his screeching turned into a cackle, and he disappeared into the earth to prevent any Poké Balls being thrown his way.
