Virtus was tired. He was up too long and too late recently, and it was all catching up to him now. He yawned and looked at the large clock on the city hall building nearby, noting that it was much earlier in the morning than he usually stayed out until.
And it was clear why. There was no one around, nothing seemed to be stirring.
It was not the best time for patrolling really. But he kept at it because he ws short on his quota and that would just not do for the Super Senshi of Kindness. He made a promise to do everything he could to be the best soldier he could, and that meant completing and succeeding his quota.
Always.
He wondered distantly if his rabbits were asleep right now, and if he had fed them before he left. Of course he had, he never forgot, but he couldn't help but worry about his fluffy friends some times. He had to take care of them, it wasn't like they could do it themselves.
He was distracted as he walked along the dark street, pondering bunnies.

Zippeite was pondering more violent things like the seething outrage he was still wallowing in after his encounter with Sailor Irene. Which sort or threw him because she pissed him off, but so did basically every other senshi he had dealt with. Ever. Tsui, Nickeline, whatever. The miniskirts and bows were all starting to blend together.
But the senshi of peace ignited a special sort of hate he wanted to make someone suffer for.
And unfortunately he saw someone. Even in the stillness of the night he felt the dark mirror senshi before he spotted him and came to a halt. He was different. Zippeite looked him up and down with a deep scowl etched into his face for a long pause before he finally stated, "You're weird for a senshi."

Not the greeting he'd been expecting, but he had half thought he would be confronted by a bunny for some reason. He was very tired, and that much was showing as his imagination clouded his reality just a bit. He smiled bashfully.
"Well, if you think so! But I am a senshi, just a Dark Mirror one. We're on the same side! What's your name? Are you okay? You look a little angry."
He could see that on his face, and just in the way he carried himself. It was tense and slow, like he was just looking for something that he couldn't find. A fight maybe? But Virtus didn't think that was right, because who went around looking for that?
No one, duh.

Zippeite's scowl didn't change one iota at the assurance they were on the same side. He had met corrupt senshi before. Those encounters hadn't turned out any more amiable than ones with the White Moon, though. Except maybe his level of disgust was more palpable. At least Chaos senshi weren't trying to play pure and righteous.
Well, not so far. This guy was weird, though. But his attitude as a senshi was secondary to another trait he was picking up. He practically screamed 'easy target' from Zippeite's point of view.
His scowl turned to a smirk and his body language shifted from sullen and angry to something more relaxed and upright. "Are we really?" He asked with a cloyingly curious sort of tone, ignoring all the questions.

Virtus did not seem to notice Zippeite ignored the questions he'd been asked. Clearly he had good reason to cut right to the chase, and maybe he didn't want to introduce himself, which was just as fine as anything else. Virtus knew what it was like to be shy and embarrassed, or at least he had seen it in other people before and tried to be kind about it.
He never knew that feeling, though. He was outgoing to the point of being oblivious.
"Well, I think so! I'm in the Dark Mirror Court, and I don't think we're supposed to be enemies with the Negaverse! As far as I know, anyway, but I could be wrong! I wouldn't want to pass on false information, though. Still! I've met some very nice Negaverse soldiers and have no problems with them, honestly! So we could be friends, if you wanted!"
He was all smiles and brightness, feeling comfortable in the presence of another soldier of chaos, though he did actually have some negative interactions with them. He just wasn't thinking about the bad ones.

Zippeite's initial feelings of superiority only grew in response to all of this good natured naivete being thrown his way. This guy was nice, and if there's any lesson that stuck in his head the last few months, it was that niceness was a telling sign of a weak individual.
"Well," he said with feigned ponderousness, "I don't really like senshi. I especially don't like senshi I'm being forced to like." The dark mirror court meant even less. Nickeline had been a Negaverse senshi and he went after her all the same. With the dmc, there was even a divide here that somehow made hostility even more acceptable.
With a flick of the wrist his weapon was summoned and ready, and he charged forward poised to swing it at Virtus like a bat. "So no, I don't want to be friends."

Virtus had not thought that one through, which was probably how most of his interactions could be classified. He just barreled in to things, happy guns blazing, shooting rainbows and flowers all over everything.
He blinked and tilted his head.
"Oh I didn't mean you have to be, I don't think anyone wants to force you into doing anything you don't want to do!"
It took him a few moments, through the length of his sentence at least, to notice that he was getting a weapon swung at him. It did register once said weapon bounced off his head and sent him sprawling to the ground in surprise and no small amount of pain.
He was dazed, sitting up immediately and staring at the floor for a moment as his brain rattled around. He looked up at Zippeite and was, for one of the first and few times, stunned silent.

Zippeite paused and stared back at Virtus with a look that was half expecting him to to more than stare. "Well?" Wasn't he going to hit back?
Even Irene hit back. Eventually.
He wasn't disappointed in the lack of reaction, though. He certainly didn't like looking at his shocked, stunned face, so he pulled back to aim a kick at it. Zippy was totally the sort to kick a man he was down.

Virtus was not expecting to get kicked in the face, and barely had time to turn his head away in an effort to protect his nose from the blow. He had been hit in the nose recently, and bled quite a lot. It was a mess and it was unnecessarily scary looking and he just did not want to cause that kind of trouble again.
But getting kicked in the side of the face did not really feel that great either.
He slammed into the ground again and felt his mind tumbling around in his head. When it landed he could tell that things were a bit skewed, and he was not sure if he was laying at a slant or if the world itself has tilted and blurred, and he was trapped in this strange new reality where everything was a little bit wobbly and sideways.
He covered his head helplessly with his arms.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" he yelped, not sure what he had done to upset the Nega so much but wishing he could take it back. Not to save himself from the attacks, but to make him feel better and less angry.

Zippeite laughed when he actually apologized. "Jesus ******** Christ, do they breed senshi to apologize when they get hit?" He wasn't the first senshi to start spouting sorries. But Zippeite had also learned this was a sure sign he was in the clear.
He was starting to categorize them. There were bitches like Tsui who just yelled random ******** and hurt like all hell, and there were bitches like Irene who said sorry and maybe hit you back if you scared them far enough back into a corner. He'd put Virtus with Irene, except he was so pathetic he was thinking he might need his own category.
He didn't care. He wasn't going to peg a fight no fun just because it was clearly unfair.
He just kept kicking at him.
Well at least until he was suddenly knocked to the side flat on the ground. He was to absorbed in seeing how many kicks it took to get to the center of a mirror senshi he hadn't even picked up on the extra super senshi aura in the area, or even heard the accompanying "The ******** is wrong with you?!" That was screeched as he was shoved.
But as soon as he registered what it was, he took off like a bullet. He was going to limit his a** handings by super senshi to one a month, thanks. Because this b***h was clearly the kind who hit back.
