The Super Senshi of Kindness was just finishing up his patrol for the night. He was bent over a homeless person he had just drained of energy, trying to get him into a more comfortable position on his stoop.
True enough, the drunken man had already been unconscious and in this position when Virtus came up to him, but it hadn't looked like the best place to sleep so he wanted to make sure that the guy at least woke up without a stiff neck and back.
It was the least he could do, after borrowing that energy off him.
Humming to himself, Virtus felt like he had a firm hold of his patrol routine. He was getting better at just not getting near any Order auras he felt, which helped a hell of a lot in his efforts to keep from hurting anyone. That was always the main goal.
He was healer, not a hurter. Lover, not a fighter. And of course, an energy drainer, not a... whatever was worse.

"It's a lucky day wind at my back, put your back to it boys lets raise those sails! When we make port we'll drink some ale share a room with a view with a busty gal!"
Vesuvius would not be daunted. He was learning this whole superhero thing bit by bit thanks to the few others he'd met including the seeming king of their kind, Camelot. When he felt an aura he headed toward it because it was new and he didn't know what it was. He moved toward it perfectly content in his new role despite warnings of danger. He found Virtus bent over the homeless man and his strong sense of justice kicked in, making him want to intercede on the civilian's behalf.
"Oye! What are you doing, lad?"
He jogged up the rest of the way, his footsteps echoing on the empty street. He recognized the costuming, or thought he did. It wasn't hard to place a senshi costume in his eyes. It was much harder to match knights as they seemed to look so damn different from each other. That would take a while to get used to.
"You're one of those whatchajiggers." She searched for the word, then snapped as it came to him. "Senshi!" But that seemed odd. He felt nothing like Tsui. "How can you hurt a helpless bum?"
The guy already had to freeze his bollocks off in the cold. How could anyone want them to suffer more than that? He shook his head with disgust and didn't wait for an answer before he was throwing a punch as his enemy to try and correct this grievous injustice.

Virtus looked up when he felt an aura approach, and looked a little sheepish when he realized that there was a mistake being made. He wasn't hurting this man, but senshi always seemed to assume that was what he was doing. He shook his head and smiled.
"Oh, don't worry! I'm not hurting him! He was sleeping funny, I'm just trying to make sure he's comfortable."
Not a lie, either. He was doing just that, he just felt out the part that he had drained the energy out of the drunk guy first. It wasn't because he was being deceitful though, he just didn't think to mention it.
He didn't really get through his offered explanation though, not before he was slammed in the face by a surprisingly strong fist. They might have been different levels, Virtus technically higher, but he was basically made out of marshmallow. He hit the ground pretty hard, dazed.

content removed because I am a moron but the gist of it was telling Virtus to get up and wanting to fight him but being disappointed that the boy didn't seem to know how and was kind of innocent

Virtus waited for his brain to settle back into its proper place, trying not to shake it because he knew from experience that it would actually do less to clear it than just letting it clear itself. He took a breath, steadying himself and then looking up at Vesuvius once all the lights has stopped flickering in front of his eyes.
He smiled timidly.
"I have! I don't like it, if I'm honest," and he was, "and I didn't know we were fighting! I'm sorry, I should have been paying more attention, I just thought we were talking."
He was apologizing for getting punched and... not punching back? Not realizing he was supposed to be fighting? Something.
Everything.
"Did... did you want to fight?"

Didn't like to fight? What sort of a soldier was he? Of course he'd hate to fight, too, if he always lost like that.
"Nonsense, man! A good fight does a body a world of good!"
He dusted the senshi off and positioned him in a classic boxer's stance with his fists up. He'd make a fighter of this boy yet! He put on back leg behind to brace and one leg in front, turning his body to the side a bit so his hands were positioned similarly to his legs.
"Good, good." He stood beside the senshi and positioned himself in the same way. "Now take your weight, born on the off leg and direct it all into the punch."
He showed Virtus how a few times, his fist striking out only to be drawn right back in. He had years of experience to back up his instruction.
The whole reason why he wanted to fight in the first place was lost by his opponent's complete lack of ability to hold his own. Vesuvius didn't think of the irony that he should be teaching his enemy to fight. The kid seemed helpless, how could they be enemies?

Virtus, by all accounts, was no typical soldier. He was a pacifist, and a healer, but he was still loyal and did what he could to support his people and his cause. He believed in his Queen and the idea to just make the world a better place.
It would be nice, one day, and he knew the Dark Mirror could achieve it some how. Even if he didn't understand the methods all the time, that was where faith came in.
He had tons of that.
He held his fists up, though, as directed, nodding his head and taking note. Because it seemed like the right thing to do. He balanced himself and tried to copy the pose he was being put into. He had gotten a similar lesson in fighting before, and was quickly caught up in learning and trying to do well.
He swung his fast as hard as he could, aiming for Vesuvius because all his other sparring opponents always told him to swing for the face.

Vesuvius blinked as the fist connected with his jaw and his head rang a little. He brought a hand up as he took a step back, rubbing the spot gingerly. It would hurt come morning pretty badly. At least he knew how to take direction. That was a bonus.
"Not bad kid."
He lashed out with his own fist, aiming for Virtus' jaw to see if the kid had any reactions to block and partly in a subconscious (or maybe not so subconscious) act of revenge. After all, he couldn't just let that hit go. He'd probably bruise for it and have to explain why. He wasn't fond of that idea.
And besides, striking and blocking were the basics of fighting. If the kid could master that he might make a decent fighter yet. One could hope, anyway, because if all of his "enemies" were this easy to push over it was a wonder there was a war to begin with. Tsk, tsk. What were people doing?

Virtus was getting better at dodging and blocking. It was more an area of battle that he was cut out for: he was not a brawler, after all, and he was not the best at swinging and punching though he certainly tried and was far better than he had been at the start of all this.
It helped that he was a Super senshi, as well.
He pulled backwards when the hit was coming for his face, stumbling a bit by the force with which he fell back but managing to avoid the hit. He smiled brightly, as if he were surprised more than proud of himself. He felt that the other would be glad to see him dodge, since he was so keen on helping.
"I think I'm actually okay at this kind of thing! I appreciate the help though."

"If you think so, kid."
Vesuvius smiled and shook his head thinking that if he'd been so competent he wouldn't be offering lessons in the first place but all he could do was offer the advice. He couldn't force Virtus to take it or even use it. That was the best he could do, anyway. Maybe it was better than the enemy sucked at brawling. Camelot would probably say so.
"Anyway, try to keep your nose clean, ok?"
He certainly had no interest in trying to continue the fight now just cause it was boring to him. He came, he saw, he taught. There was no conquering here tonight. Flynn stepped back and allowed the Super Senshi some room, trying to take note of his name, rank, and whose side he was on. He was pretty sure Virtus was still an enemy because he felt like one more than acted like it.
"Maybe next time we run into each other we can have that brawl."
