Heidi was grateful for Otto bringing her here, she probably would never have found it otherwise. Not on her own. She walked cautiously down the stairway, almost worried of what was at the bottom. Was it all a trap? A party? A science experiment gone wrong? An initiation into a secret society that involved crazy whacky stunts and stuff? Oh, but Otto had said this was for her weapon. She should've asked what his weapon was and what he had to do.
Oh well, what was life without a little mystery and adventure.
What she walked into was certainly a surprise. Weird room is weird. Heidi frowned as she approached the wall of glowing marks, looking it up and down. "Looks like we're not in Wickford anymore, Toto." She muttered to herself. "What do I do now.." And then came a ghostly giggle. Heidi gasped and turned, pressing back against the wall and looking all around. There was another laugh. What the heck was that? "Hello?"
Nervous are we? No need to be! Come this way and you shall see..just...how much you'll mean..to me~. A sweet voice sang, hesitating at some parts as if trying to figure out where she was going with her words. O..kaaaay...what? Heidi pushed off the wall. It was like the voice was coming from inside of her own head. How do you find the source of a voice from inside your head?!
"Uhhhh...okay. Soooo where is 'this way'?" She continued walking along the wall, looking it up and down until she noticed a brightly lit red marker. Eh? She put her hand against it. There was a giggle which this time made Heidi gasp and immediately jump away from it, shaking her hand as if what she had just touched had hurt or she was trying to get disgusting gook off it. "Dude, that's so creepy!"
Thou doth complain too much. Perhaps if you do it again seriously now, She cleared her throat. Terribly sorry. Perhaps if you try once more, something will come to you...rry..no that doesn't work..
Listen to the creepy voice that can't rhyme. Okay. This is happening. Heidi sighed and took a deep breath, preparing herself before she approached the tile again and opened it...and then pulled out a long bow. "Whooooooooaaaaaa! AWESOME!" Heidi gasped as she pulled the whole thing out, holding it in her hands and looking it all over. This was the coolest bow she had ever seen! Nothing like any bow she'd ever used before! Aw, dude! Her dad would be so jealous!
The voice was back, chuckling now. Very good! Very good! I am Matilda, dear heart. And if you think I'm cool now, why this is only just the start. Yes! I nailed it that time!
Okay that was just weird. Whatever, bro. "S'nice to meet you, Tilly. I'm Heidi! So I guess we just...go now? Otto did say I'd be put into a division. Um..." How does one walk around with a giant glowing bow. Otto didn't have a huge weapon hanging off him. Did it have a button that shrank it or something? Heidi had been in search of said mysterious button when the weapon glowed brighter and disappeared, though there was a sudden weight on her ear now. She reached up, fingers tracing the shape of a cuff-like earring. "Whaaaaat.."
Never fear! I am still here. Now let us depart.
