Name: Mirram 'Ash' Michitka
Age: 16
Occupation: Hedgewitch
Appearance:
Mirram Michitka is on the short side for her family. Her hair is a dark brown, tied up into a loose ponytail, with the tie at about her shoulders. Her face is very much like her mothers- boney and gaunt, but more rounded and fleshed than that. Her dark grey eyes have an odd spark that can be unnerving to those meeting her for the first time.
She often wears a slightly dirty and patched dress with a pouch to hold any herbs she comes across and, of course, seed for her birds.
Personality:
Mirram Michitka, calling herself 'Ash', is the second youngest member of the Michitka family. She is a bit... strange. She talks to her birds as if they were people, which wouldn't be such a problem if she actually talked to people- which she doesn't often. She sits in the woods near the hut for hours, sometimes all day... and part of the night... muttering to herself and her birds, playing with herbs.
At least, it looks like playing. When she goes into the forest to forage, she comes back with more than others, and Eva's garden has grown fresher and stronger than other families, so perhaps the young hedgewitch knows what she is doing.
When she does talk to people, she isn't exactly uplifting. She is the sort of person that sees the glass as half empty, and will proceed to explain how it is definitely not half full because everybody will die anyway.
If something good can be said about her attitude, it is that, unlike the rest of her family, she isn't sharp and in your face. If anything, she is the kindest member of the family, if you can get past her quirks and oddities.
She is also very good with animals- They like her. Especially birds, and particularly Rooks.
In sum, a nice enough person if you don't mind being depressed... and if you can get past her oddness.
Family:
Eva:”Mother sees so little and says so much, doesn't she Grenta? We won't correct her.”
Viktor: “He is always there for me. I want him to smile like he used to. Do you remember that, Grenta? No, of course not. That was before I met you.”
Liam: “He fears me. Why? I fear him. That is not my brother, but a block of ice that looks like him. Talks like him... Keep an eye on him, Grenta.”
Grenta: “She is my best friend of all time. When she whispers, I listen. She has laid three clutches, so her experience is valuable... and saved our family's lives.
Bainer: “Her advice is clever and cunning. If she would stop stealing from others, then we wouldn't have a problem, would we Grenta?”
Diyzen: “He is sort of a fool, but I adore him.”
History:
History
Ash was always a bit odd. The Michitkas occasionally produced Druids, and so her oddness was generally accepted. The long journey may have shaken her up a bit and perhaps unhinged her, but it was on this journey that she met her familiar, Grenta, and between her magic and Grenta's sage advice, (and Viktor's strength) they were able to survive to Sunderland. She is keeping her magic hidden (mostly) but her reality has become... skewed.
Skills:
Herblore, Magic, Good with animals
Magic:
Primarily, she can understand rooks as if they were humans, and they understand her. Other birds as well. She thinks its Verbal.
She empathizes with other nonbird animals- there is a unconcious understanding there, not the sort of pseudoverbal, concious understanding she has with birds.
She has minor herbcraft, but it mainly manifests as a good memory for herbs and a sense of which were safe to collect. Without education, she can't do much more than collect things and make tea. She was recognized as a Druid, and did get education. She could find work helping a fellow hedgewitch or a healer, but Grenta doesn't trust many people, and is especially suspicious of healers for reasons she keeps to herself. And Ash listens to Grenta.
