You decided to take the man up on his offer. Your legs were already sore just from traveling a few hours and you had barely begun the ascent. His offer seemed so good right now...

You try to bargain the man down on the price. Once agreed upon, the farmer opened the wooden gate, and let you choose your favorite doduo out of the group.

"The 'duo are only trained as travel companions. They're no good for battlin'," he warned.

(( ICly, all who want a doduo will be given one to ride. You cannot use it in battle. You will only be able to keep the doduo if you have won one from this event. Other doduos will either run away, be returned to this hut, be slain in battle, or eaten because the travelers were soooo hungry.

Requirements: You must have posted in the ORP at least once in order to try! At least 1 person must have posted the form for each pokemon so they can be given away. Will be randomized between all who post forms.

If you want to have a chance at one of the doduo, post the form below with an RP response (pay the man, bargain if you wish). If successful, this will count as your one pokemon for the entire event, so THINK CAREFULLY. You will not be able to give away your win. You may only trade it at the end of the event.
If you only want a doduo for RP purposes, you can just RP out your response, but do not post the form. ))

The price was steep, the doduo looked ill-trained, and Dora knew this was just a scam waiting to happen. Still.... something about them tugged at her heartstrings a little. If just because the poor things looked half-starved and half-wild, too. Surely they deserved a little better fate than staying here on this farm, being lent out to travelers going up the mountain? Or, well, at least a little break from the monotony. With a little groan, Dora hesitated for only a few moments longer before going over to the man to try and bargain him down a bit.

Charlatan though he may be, she would have to reach a deal with him somehow. Though... judging from the way the doduo were pecking at him, he probably would go quite a bit lower than his original asking price. There was no way she was going to give him 10,000 poké dollars for one of the birds, especially when odds were the silly, ill-behaved creatures would just get themselves into trouble. After all,she knew exactly how bird pokémon could be. But... she was willing to plunk down some money on one, yes.

If just to play pokérescuer.

"I'll pay you five thousand, if you'll give me that one," she said, waving to a bird that looked like it was torn between arguing with itself and attacking the fence to get away.

"OH HOHO!" The farmer was evidently excited that he could entice one of them into take a doduo off his hands. He stroked his rather prickly chin, as if mulling over the offer.

"Hmmm, I say. Hmmmmm. Alright, you drive a hard bargain, little missy!" He went over and wrangled the one she pointed out and they did the exchange.

"Oh, yous a smart one, you are! My li'l pumpkin smooch'ums will do well wit' you!" The farmer beamed bigger than ever, as he went back into his broken down little barn and retrieved a sack of feed.

It was a good large 25 lb bag. He heaved it up with great effort as if he was going to put it into your hands whether you liked it or not. Your instincts made you hold out your arms for it, as he dropped the bag. It smelled like a farm.

He had returned with the doduo as you were struggling to put the bag down, and you made the exchange.

Tenko loved birds and her legs could use some rest, so she couldn't resist the man's offer. That said, when she saw how desperate he was, she just had to try to haggle with him. "You drive a hard bargain, sir, but I'll take it. 2,500 pokedollars it is then. In cold hard cash." She dug around in her pockets, pulled out her wallet, and stuck the money in the man's hand. "I'll take the one on the left. The frisky looking one."

"Oh, well." The man was surprised by her initiative. "You've sure got some spunk in ya. Anythin' for you, purdy lady!" He winked at her. He practically had to drag the doduo over to the gate for the exchange.
