Appearance Description: Jousake is a man who was very slim, but was physically in excellent condition. He had a tattoo on his right arm of the Royal Guard's emblem. Although he had no facial tattoo's, Jousake is always seen wearing face paint that runs across his checks and the bridge of his nose. A very flamboyant character in appearance, he also sports a native american head dress along with several bracelets and such on both of his arms. He also has one ring on his middle finger and two on his ring finger, all having some significance behind them all. Jousake's eyes also make him stand out from the crowd, as he was born with genetic defect that gave him red iris'. As for his hair, he was also born with pink hair, due to yet another genetic defect that created such an odd hair tone for him.

Background: Born two years after the birth of his older brother Kenshin, he also faced the same circumstances of dying after birth and was later adopted by the same family that took in Kenshin and the two were raised together under the lay of nobility. They both were taught in the art of wielding zanpakuto and together learned the true powers of both of their zanpakutos. However, being that Jousake's zanpakuto took on a more defensive nature with healing properties, he and his brother soon took on different paths in life, as he roamed alongside with his brother around the world, always looking out for his brother. However, when he came to the Americas with his brother along with the Spanish, he stayed behind and roamed America, until he stumbled upon a tribe of Native Americans who noticed that he wasn't a normal human, due to his strange hair and eyes, but more so due to his spiritual pressure.
As it turned out, the Native Americans that took him in were very much spiritually aware beings and were conscious of his true power and welcomed him with open arms. Learning much of their culture, he stayed with these Native Americans for several hundred years, as he was well known in their tribe and was their healer for those who were sick, as he cared for them all. However, as the years went on and his tribe continued to be pushed onto reservations, Jousake's tribe slowly started to die out, as less and less tribesmen remained spiritually aware. Being that this was the case, he later left the tribe to roam the earth once more. Spending a few more hundred years, he roamed the world of the living, learning and living his life wondering what of his older brother who he hadn't spoken with in over a thousand years.
However, he soon stumbled upon his brother in New York City, as he was grealty pleased to find his brother alive and well. The two soon found a place to stay and together caught up telling each other their adventures and the number of fights that they encountered ever since. They both then decided it would be best for them to become members of the Seireite and returned both home to the family where they were raised only to find things had changed greatly since they were last there. Joining the academy, Jousake and Kenshin excelled and graduated in a matter of a few months, and quickly rose to the ranks of captain in a matter of 20 years. The two stayed with their positions for hundreds of years, with the exception of Kenshin, who became Head Captain of the Gotei 13 and remained in the position for a few more years. As the years past, the Royal Guard and the Soul King himself, who had their eyes on the two for quite some time, decided that it would be in their best interests to have the two join the Royal Guard. Although Kenshin became the commander of the Royal Guard, Jousake remained as the captain of the fifth ring of the Royal Guard for thousands of years due to his skills being more suited for healing than for offensive or combative purposes.

-Hakuda: Being that Jousake has been an active shinigami for thousands of years, his skills at hand to hand combat are quite impressive.
-Kido: Jousake has been able to perfect every single known Hado and Bakudo spell and can easily perform high level spells without incantation with ease and still deliver devastating results much like his older broter.
-Zanjustu: When it comes to fighting with his zanpakuto, Jousake can fight with his zanpakuto with incredible skill, even considering that in it's sealed form, it is a mere tanto.
-Hohō: Jousake boosts incredible skill in the art of movement and has mastered Hohō unlike anything most shingami of the art have witnessed. He can easily dodge some of the most intense and more powerful attacks that can be cast by opponents with ease and is very fast on his feet, making him someone very hard to inflict damage on.

Abilities:
1. Jousake's shikai has several purposes, but the primary purpose is being able to protect it's master against attacks. When first used, it has no defense at all and slowly increases in defense with each growing attack a opponent throws at it. The dream catcher itself serves as a way of absorbing attacks, thus protecting Jousake from atttacks, and can form a barrier that protects him from all angles. However, if he wishes to use the dream catcher to launch a attack on his opponent, he must give up all stored up energy from his dream catcher to launch a powerful beam of energy that can consume anything in it's path.
2. Jousake's shikai also allows for him to heal him during battle only by the reshi absorbed from his dream catcher. Much like the offensive move used by the dream catcher, it takes away all energy stored up by the dream catcher to heal Jousake. However, this ability is not an all powerful one, as Jousake cannot abuse this ability and over use it, as prolonged use of this ability can potentially harm Jousake and even kill him.
