Stepping out of Shun's room Mitsu closed the door behind herself and waited in the hall for just a moment to see if Shun would change his mind about the pudding. One minute went by, then two, and then three. By the time ten minutes had come and went she was nearly certain Shun wasn't going to change his mind and let her have any of the pudding he was keeping hostage. So unfair!

With a small sigh Mitsu shifted her foxfire in her arms and padded her way down the hall to the stairs. She had said she was going to take a walk but to where she hadn't really decided. At this point she was merely moping her way down the four flights of stairs of the reaper dorms and toward the door.

"It's not fair.." She mumbled to Milo who wiggled happily in her arms. "I didn't get to try any."

Kettil at this point was on his way out the door of the dorms himself until he heard the voice of a ghoul. His head tilted back to see the meandering (and pouting) form of Mitsu, and so he offered her a wide smile.

"Is someone being mean and withholding something from you?" He asked curiously toward her, his tone also had an undercurrent of playfulness. Kettil tilted his head back toward the door before he moved to open it and then waited for the ghoul to catch up to him so she could exit first as he held the door open.

Always the gentleman.

Mitsu had been focused on the floor in front of her feet and had failed to notice she wasn't entirely alone until a male voice spoke up. She stopped in her tracks, large crimson eyes turning up to stare at the boil standing by the front door. There was an edge of nervousness to her stance unable to place this student in her memory. Had she seen him before? Of course, did that matter if the hunters could parade around looking like them.

Her pouting expression had quickly changed to leery, her lips sealed tight as she continued to stare frozen in place. His tone was friendly enough and he was even holding the door open for her but Mitsu had learned the hard way that people were not always as they seemed. She had the scars to remind her.

It looked like she was about to flee back the way she had come but Milo had managed to wiggle his way free of her hold and bounded excitedly toward this new individual in a blur of white. As soon as he arrived at Kettil's feet he rose up on his back legs and bounced in place trying to get attention.

"Eh-" Mitsu held out her hand toward the foxfire to stop him but he was already to the door before she could even lean down to get him. Those little feet could run when they really wanted to. Unsure what to do she slowly started to approach, her eyes never leaving the boil like she expected him to suddenly pounce.

The small foxfire escaping their owner was met with an amused laugh, loud and pleasant. He leaned down and picked up the small creature with a gentle grasp and began to make friends with it, "Hey now little friend, it is not kind to leave your ghoul behind," he teasingly scolded. The scolding was then ended with a gentle scritch to the pup's ears.

When Mitsu approached he looked up at her and offered her the foxfire back. Her skittish ways didn't escape his notice; the way she hesitated instead of exiting pretty much told him everything. Kettil, however, was not one to push boundaries like that too hard.

"I remember seeing you in a class, I think. You were very sleepy during it," He observed somewhat cautiously. "I am glad to see you seem more alert now!" His tone held an odd amount of sincere relief to it, as if he had worried that she was sick at the time.

Kettil being the loveable oaf that he was didn't really intend on opening any past scars. He honestly thought it was her, after all.

Milo was in foxfire heaven right now. His tail was a blur behind him, his little tongue licking at the air trying to give Kettil as much love as he could from his position. The scolding was hardly given any notice but he wiggled excitedly when offered back to Mitsu. His expression seemed to say 'Friend! Look I found a friend! Can we keep him?'

Once she was close enough Mitsu reached out and hesitantly took Milo back, holding the foxfire close. "C...class?" Her voice was barely a whisper but her expression looked confused. She couldn't remember a class where she had seen him, not to mention she hadn't been to class lately. It was also hard to place a time when she had been falling asleep, she was usually good at paying attention.

When she couldn't seem to recall she shook her head. She had no idea what he was talking about and it didn't quite click that it had been Candace in her stead. "W..what class?"

Kettil's expression didn't falter much but he did tilt his head a little. Then again he couldn't see anyone remembering much behind closed eyelids and he shrugged his shoulders letting the thought go after he had reasoned it out on his own. "It was a class on the theories of FEAR and the like," he explained simply.

"Don't worry too much, DĂșulsi'. I only thought you looked familiar. Mayhap it was another ghoul I was thinking of." Kettil beamed at her.

There was a thoughtful pause as he offered her a hand, "Let's start fresh! My name is Kettil, I have rampant bouts of unexplained de ja vu."

Mitsu looked even more confused. She had never gone to a class about theories of FEAR. She shook her head again but it seemed the boil could have easily mistaken her for someone else. Though who she wasn't sure. Xiu and her were about the same height and had white hair so perhaps...

"DĂșulsi?" Mitsu tilted her head a bit until she realized he was giving a sort of introduction. She should probably follow suit to at least be polite. "I-I-I'm Mitsu." She stuttered out, giving a bow in greeting. As she stood back up she held up Milo. "T-this is Milo." The little foxfire gave a small bark as a greeting of his own looking happy and content as could be.

"D-do you suffer from de ja vu often?" She couldn't help but ask. Maybe it was an ailment.
PostPosted: Thu Jan 10, 2013 6:15 pm

"DĂșulsi' means sweet, like candy. It uh..It is my term of endearment for most ghouls," he explained happily. Kettil was very used to this question at this point and was more than happy to explain it to her. "I use it when I think a ghoul seems nice or sweet," he added after a few seconds.

When she introduced herself he smiled wider, "Lovely names," he said sincerely. Kettil reached and lightly poked Milo on the nose. These two were an adorable pair.

At her question he chuckled a bit, "Sometimes, it isn't a bad thing. It just makes me think I saw someone I probably didn't."

"Oh..." Mitsu blushed slightly at the nickname unsure how to react. When something came to mind she freed her right hand from Milo and tapped her chin twice with her forefinger and middle finger. "Sweet." It was sign language but she really didn't explain that fact, she was far too used to teaching Shun words so that they could communicate when her throat got too sore to speak.

His easy going smile and calm nature was putting her a little more at ease though. At least she didn't feel like fleeing back to Shun's room. "Is it like an ailment? Seeing people when you hadn't?" Did he suffer from hallucinations, maybe that's what this was. "Maybe you should go to the nurse."

Now that she wasn't so nervous Mitsu finally slipped out the door Kettil had been holding open, standing on just the other side so that she could wait for him to explain. If he needed to see the nurse she could at least help him get to the main building.

He watched the gesture with curiosity, "That some sorta signal or somethin'?" Kettil ducked his head and whispered conspiratorially to her behind his hand, "Is it a secret?"

At her inquiry and seeming concern he only shook his head and smiled, "Nah. It's no illness. It happens to everybody sometimes and it isn't just people. Sometimes it is like events you could swear have happened before or somethin'. I doubt the nurse could help me with that," Kettil simply didn't have the heart to just toy with her like that.

Kettil closed the door once she was out and moved to walk with her, "So, heading anywhere fancy? Need an escort or a friend to walk with?"

She regarded the boil with a curious gaze as he leaned in and asked if her hand signal was a secret. Leaning in toward him in turn she looked around before she whispered back. "No...."

When she straightened up again she explained. "It's sign language." Though that was as far as the explanation went.

"Oh..so you aren't sick then?" That was a relief. Mitsu knew she wouldn't have been able to treat anything like that if it had been an illness. She was really only good for putting a band-aid on a cut.

"Umm...no where in particular but..." She regarded Kettil for a moment. He seemed nice enough, if she remained guarded everything would be okay wouldn't it? "I wouldn't mind someone to walk with."
PostPosted: Thu Jan 10, 2013 8:08 pm

"...Sign language! That'd be fun to learn," he spoke this out loud with amusement.

The boil smiled down at Mitsu and her minipet and gave a thumb up gesture, "Healthier than I ought to be, all things considered," he affirmed for her cheerfully.

Kettil didn't seem to mind Mitsu's guarded demeanor as they walked together. In fact he considered it to be pretty smart even if he didn't know the root of it. The Muut just walked along carefree and happy, he was an open book. "That's good! Maybe we'll find an adventure, 'cause I'm not really looking for anywhere specific to go either. My ghoulfriend is takin' a nap."

The lycan nodded at that keeping a small distance between herself and the boil as they walked. Milo seemed to have calmed down for the time being now that he had gotten his attention, his beady eyes set forward but occasionally glancing toward Kettil.

"An adventure?" She signed the word as she spoke. It was more of a habit now than anything. "Junko says to think of getting lost like an adventure. Are we going to get lost?"

Hearing he had a ghoulfriend seemed to peek her interest and she tilted her head toward him waiting for him to go on. It seemed the majority of the conversation was going to be on Kettil's end. Lately Mitsu wasn't much of a talker.

Kettil glanced over at Mitsu and laughed, "Well we could get lost if we aren't careful! Getting lost isn't always a part of adventure. I mean we could go someplace new that we never been before. Is there any place you always wanted to go to?"

The boil had caught the look of interest and seemed nonplussed over the idea of dominating the conversation. Sometimes things just happened that way and he was alright with that, "She's been feelin' a bit out of sorts. I haven't been able to leave her alone much since some events had taken place. Maybe you know her? Her name is Freya. If you're a friend...She maybe would love to see you sometime soon.."

For the first time since Mitsu started talking to him, Kettil looked sad and concerned.

"....I get lost a lot." Mitsu explained. Her sense of direction was far from the best but she had managed to memorize the way to a few certain things. As far as someplace to go Mitsu tilted her head in thought. Normally she didn't leave school grounds without Shun, she was far too nervous in a busy area on her own but maybe...just maybe she could trust Kettil enough to walk through town. "Can we go somewhere that has pudding?" Shun didn't say she couldn't have different pudding, he just denied her the pudding she had put on his desk. So there.

As Kettil continued to explain about his ghoulfriend Mitsu seemed concerned but even more so when he mentioned the name Freya. "Freya? I know Freya." Wait....hadn't Freya been with Herryk? When had this taken place? And she wasn't feeling well? Come to think of it, Freya hadn't quite looked herself when Mitsu saw her at the festival but at the time the lycan was so wrapped up in her own problems she hadn't given it much thought. She probably should have asked then or went to see her.

The note of concern from Kettil seemed to weigh on Mitsu heavily. Just the fact that he was worried was enough to make her feel terrible about not visiting the ghoul. "So Freya is not well?" She held Milo close and the foxfire sensed the change in her demeanor and tilted his head up to lick at her face in a comforting way.
