Getting into the Isle of Enchantment :
- You need to camp out in the Weeping Forest after reading the information. Hunters can enter Halloween as well without a golem (recommended as the Isle itself is very golem unfriendly due to its climate and high altitude as well as natural enemies), for a max of 30 minutes. Each roll takes 5 IC minutes - students can pretty much park here as long as they need as well as horsemen while Hunters will need to exit and enter back again.
- Basically, all Hunter and Horsemen characters have 6 chances to find the portal. If they don't find it, they will need to leave and come back. Students do not need to ICly leave and come back.
- All players roll 1d100.
- Rolling 50 or less will let players find a portal that randomly leads to someone's house. Feel free to RP this as you please as awkwardly as you please
- Rolling 70 or less will let players find a portal that leads to the Land of Holidays. Right now is really not the time for Xmas cheer...and the creatures there seem extremely hostile
- Rolling 80 or less will lead you to the Haunted House.
- Rolling 81 or higher will let you find the portal! Success! You can now proceed inside.

After getting clearance (and the comment that a lot of hunters these days were treasure hunting) Harrison had his hood on and his regular supplies (Runic Bandaids, Runic Daggers, Binoculars, and most important: Pendant).

His scarf was fastened under the sinister black cloak.

He wanted a fight more than anything, but he guessed he could pawn any bonus swag off on the labs. His funds were dangerously low after Christmas, and he had a lot of s**t he still wanted for the room. Some of it could be built, but anything electronic meant bribes...

Anyway, whatever he ended up with he wouldn't be shelling out cash for, that was for sure.

The chilly, perpetually-October air was familiar by now, and Harrison went sniffing around for portals straight out of the gate. The first one was someone's bathroom- they'd had enough of bathrooms, but he paused long enough to admire the fixtures, and the swirly dolphin they'd made out of rocks on the wall, before pulling back to check another one.

He half-expected the labyrinth.

The smell of salt hit him, but instead of being accompanied by sulfur and a dank, underwater clamminess, there was sunshine and a fresh breeze. Palm trees and bushes rustled together, and strange birds called out over the canopy.

"This one looks right," Harrison said, motioning Rep over.

Rep had come with his usual broad array of items, after all this place could be any kind of bizzare land and terrain. He'd as always brought his runic bandages, an item that regularly proved itself absolutely ******** invaluable of late and which he wouldn't go without.

He was more than a little pleased when they found the portal with minimal fuss, for whatever reason these portals tended to respond well to where they needed to go. Sometimes he wondered if smarter people than him had learned to control that and given them the portals they used back at Deus ex.

"Good senses." he said with a toothy grin, following Harrison in.

Historical IC background: The Abandoned Isle of Enchantment had a very different name in the past, nestled between where two foreboding creatures sleep in the seas: Scylla and her sister Charybdis. It was once where travelers would rest: Gods would find a welcome stay while Human mortals would meet a rather unfortunate demise. The Isle of Enchantment is still lush with vegetation and life: creatures can be seen prowling the area, strange wild, exotic minipets (if they can even be called mini) unlike those ever seen before. In the center of the isle is a large palace-like structure with marble pools of water that are still oddly, in very good shape. The island itself is abandoned.

Quote:

The palace itself is in the heart of extremely, extremely high thick vegetation that needs to be navigated through. This is where the Dungeon Master comes to play. The Dungeon Master will create a new thread. Now, they will roll stats for this expedition team:
- Roll 2 20-sided dice for each player. List the players ie: 1. Player 1, 2: player 2, etc. Just roll all the dice at once. This is the number of rounds they can take for each player. Also include your own character. Post this stat at the very first post ie: Player 1 has 5 stamina, player 2 has 10 etc.
- Now players can begin to RP. They start at the outskirts of the forest and move inwards. Each ACTION they take is 1 stamina point. Once they have used up all allotted stamina points they can go no further/ have to leave the area.
- If their HP turns to 0 they cannot go any further as well.
- If a character runs out of stamina or HP, they must try again from Round 1!

Harrison: 7
Rep: 15

Quote:
[ Round 1: ]

- All players must roll a 6 sided dice. If any player rolls a 1 or 6, you have triggered a boss! The DM will be in charge of rping and keeping track of the boss's HP. The boss has 50/ 50 HP and does 5 auto damage every time it is attacked. You can attack it unlimited times within discretion. Attacks go as normal. The boss is shadow shaped, a remnant of the old world, noone can go any further until the boss is defeated. IF NOONE rolls a 1 or 6, or you have defeated the boss, you may proceed to round 2. If two players roll a 1 or 6, you now have two bosses... congratulations.
- This initial roll does not cost stamina!

"What can I say?" Harrison said, "all that research paid off ~ <3"

He stepped onto an overgrown path that wove uphill, deeper into the jungle.

Grinning at Rep, he set one fist on his hip and cupped the other hand at his mouth, calling, "Hey, anybody home?"

Rep cleared his throat, "Aye. All my hard work." he teased. He probably should have realised it would be warm. A bit too warm for fur. He opened his jacket and trotted along behind Harrison.

As he yelled, Rep put a panicky hand on his arm. "You don't think there's any..you know whats.. here do you?"

"Nah. It's supposed to be a place for guys like us to rest, right? Now let's see if these popstar divas left us any bodyguards."

There was a distant, answering roar as the jungle shook, and a shadowy mass of vines and rock that looked vaguely catlike jumped from the trees and onto the sandy shore.

"Just what I was hoping to see," Harrison said, B0nez immediately in his hand. Every rune on B0nez's blade was bright, electric, circuits racing with color and sleek with metal.

There wasn't any bone left, or iron.

B0nez felt light in his hands, and the blades were even lighter, some strange, ghostly material. Razor-sharp, see-through. An X crossed through B0nez's open, laughing mouth, and two more blazed from his forehead. The whole thing glowed and spat light, looking like a pair of wasp wings, the smaller blade just short of machete-length and wickedly utilitarian.

Plugs dangled from B0nez's previously-empty hilt, functional, no longer the raw and angry wires of yesterday. More wires spilled from his eyesocket, and set in its center was the jewel, which pulsed with power. Blue flashed up from B0nez reflexively and draped Harrison's body in the neon signature.

Harrison glowed.

And then he went to work.

He deflected the rocky claw from himself- zzt, then Rep - zzzzzzt, then pushed B0nez's shorter blade up into the snarling, mossy jaws.

With it was the feeling he had before, a chilly distance, B0nez's analysises running through his head in a stream of numbers and grounded by his own observations of the opponent in front of him.

Just an animal. A shadow of old powers. No bite, really. Not anymore.

The blue faded, but wasn't entirely gone if Rep looked hard, and the jewel itself sat nestled smugly in B0nez's eye. Harrison pulled the blade free of the rocky mouth, and when he looked down at the guardian, it was with disdain.

A creature joined them, and for just a moment Rep's blood ran cold as he thought it was covered in writhing green snakes. He felt dizzy. But no. No. It was just vines. That was all. Vines. The delay had given Harrison time to summon B0nez and Rep found himself stalled once again, looking on in what could only be described as awe at the difference in the ghost sword's appearance. He was like a neon laced nightmare, all wicked function and cybernetic power.

"Holy s**t." he stammered, catching the glint of blue from the unsettling jewel in the eye socket of the skull just before it became dimmed by the blue glow that surrounded Harrison moments later.

As he attacked the beast, it was with a level of calculated brutality that frankly dazzled - and almost frightened Rep. He should be there helping, he realised with an embarrassed twist of shame, and it took him a few moments to even gather himself to awkwardly remember to summon Tracey.

When he did his arm was yanked startlingly with unfamiliar weight and the blade hit the ground, he gave Tracey a sidelong irritable look and paused in surprise. The usual handle, twisted and coiled around the feathered blade like a parasitic spine was longer, the wicked hook at the end edged with flared serrated edges which had never been there before. The end nearest him terminated in its own razor sharp barbed hook, laden with endless possibilities.

The most staggering thing however was none of these things, Tracey since the last time he'd summoned him had somehow almost doubled in size, going from massive to frankly ridiculous. He wasn't even sure how he was supposed to swing him.

Tracey hummed.

He shook his head, expecting to pull his arm out of his socket as he hefted the light sapping weapon up into his unfamiliar grip.

He swung and Tracey cut through the air as if the blades truly were feathers, lighter than anything about his appearance would lead to believe. When he connected with the cat creature however, there was nothing light about him at all.

Rep joined him, like he knew he would, slamming into the things shoulders and bringing it low. KNEEL, B0nez commanded. Harrison watched.

Nestled into the main sword's handle was a new, smooth...something, right where his thumb normally rested.

USE IT, B0nez said.

Harrison leveled the sword between the guardian's eyes.

The jolt was, good- okay. It started that way, then sizzled out. It didn't feel as powerful as it normally did.

Reallocated my specs, B0nez said, irritated and distracted, bustling off to adjust something.

Harrison withdrew, even as a sharp set of claws raked down his arm. They didn't break the shield. He looked, instead, to Rep, and Tracey, appraising them...

Tracey, too, had changed, that always-wicked hook decorated with a spray of deadly blades, dark and bloody. An executioner's weapon. Claws. Wings. Elegant, intimidating. His. He drank them in, content to leave the guardian now and satiate the craving for a fight...vicariously. He put B0nez up, hooking the blades onto his sash and taking Rep's arm and pulling him close, side-to-side.

When Harrison spoke, it was right in Rep's ear, and his voice was a suggestive whisper. "Finish it for me."

There was something different about Harrison, magnetic. He couldn't tell if it was B0nez and the new intimidating appearance - he was after all, drawn to things he wanted, and right now he wanted them both. But at the same time it felt more than that, thrilling and dangerous, an old edge of that excitement he'd sought when he'd picked fights with anyone and everyone who crossed his path, challenged them to try and kill him. He felt like with that blue glow, that gem, everything that he was dubious about, that he was dancing with the devil.

But it was nothing if not seductive, and the way he was looked over made him feel needed, useful. He froze up in surprise as he was pulled close, surprise turning to a suppressed shiver at the command. He was left more flustered than he was willing to let on, hauling Tracey back into the fray.

"Yessr" he purred playfully as he spun off in a twirl of momentum and glinting edges. Tracey felt so good.

The claws that lashed out against his impending attack did nothing but spur him on as he brought the axe down as hard as he could, without even breaking his stride preparing to swing again.

The next swing was with the new hook, enough to knock the b*****d off it's feet, to give him room, to give him a charge.

The runes all across Tracey lit up like dying embers on the last night.

As the charge took hold of him his worries faded away, all that he was concerned with was the fight, the guardian that scrabbled to fight back against him, barely denting his fear shield. He found Tracey's thoughts mingling with his own, almost pity. It had been designed to fight humans. What it was up against was so much more.

He held the axe off the ground behind him like a dainty wing unwilling to get dirty, and when he leapt there was no drag in the way it cut through the air. It felt like flight, up and up with the trailing feathers turned blades, and always afterwards - the fall. He arched his back in a graceful movement and brought him overhead, haemorrhaging runic energy as he crashed the full weight of Tracey and himself onto the head of the creature.

Quite a few branches were also casualty to the swing, and for a moment it rained leaves like snow. Collateral damage at this point was absolutely unavoidable.

The creature fell forward and didn't rise again.

"Like that?", he asked, casting a delighted smirk back at Harrison.

Harrison had stepped back as Rep stepped forward, taking only a few hits before grinding the guardian into so much enchanted dust.

He joined him now, resting his mouth on Rep's bristly jaw.

"Yeah. I like that," his ring hand lingered at the throat of Rep's cloak, traveling along the length of the gold chain necklace Rep always wore. He lifted the chain just off his skin, segment by segment, before the path ended at the pendant, which he spun once before dropping it back onto Rep's chest.

Harrison eased his hand from the cloak, and walked ahead, not too fast, through the guardian's still-settling dust.

The jungle path waited.

"Hits the spot, huh?" he asked, leisurely. "I could stay out here all day. Maybe instead of treasure, we ought to look into real estate."

[ Round 2: ]

- All players must now navigate the labyrinth. Roll 1d100.
- If you roll 75 or higher you have found the palace gates, perhaps only through a stroke of luck. That's odd, you could have sworn your friend was with you...
- If you did NOT roll 75 or higher you still need to keep on searching the area, full of traps and dead ends. You need to continue rolling until you roll 75 or higher.
- For ever time you do not roll 75 or higher (each reroll), you must subtract one of your given stamina points. If you hit 0, you cannot go any further/ you dissipate/ pass out/ are worn out.

Rep was left feeling proud and valued at the attention, holding his breath without even realising it at every subtle little brush of contact, only daring to breathe again as he moved away. It was with a satisfied grin he trotted after him past the creature, dismissing Tracey in flourish.

"I could go with some jungle without snakes in it. That'd be ******** nice. I bet it has beaches.. somewhere."

Jungles he knew, he spent enough time dealing with them back on the island.

Harrison's pace was slower. The path went from barely-there to completely overgrown, pillars from forgotten ruins dotting the jungle and collapsed over trees.

Their shade made a bed for colorful, poisonous flowers.

But Harrison was content to wander, taking stock. Still. No place like-
