Paperwork. Everything was paperwork. Report on this, sign this here, so on and so forth. It was, Sherry was starting to think, the most tedious part of the job. A musing which made her weapon happy. Sherry was usually all about towing the line, being within the rules, and doing everything just right. It was something she was good at. It was just so...



Yes. She found herself agreeing with her weapon more and more these days. About most things, anyway.

After turning in yet another stack of papers, Sherry found herself wandering the halls going over her mental list of things that needed to be done. None of it was interesting. Nothing was--

Something caught the trainee's attention. Had it been a suspicious glance? Or that grin, the type that spelled trouble? Even from a down the hall, Sherry had seen it. Right before another trainee slipped into an office. The office of the Death Division Assistant. Hrmm... This wasn't...Sherry sighed. Hadn't there been enough rule breaking?

Curiosity and concern led her to the that door. What was the trainee doing? Didn't she recognize that trainee? Why oh why was she stepping through the doorway, too? Was the other trainee looking through papers? Oh, was she supposed to be in here, then? If that was the case, then what was Sherry doing?

"Um," was all she said. She almost asked if she could be of some help (out of habit), but that would have been silly in any context.

"Hi." The reply was more instinctive than anything. At least one of them was out place, and Sherry wasn't quite sure yet who. The fact that she was having trouble reading the look on the other girl's face didn't help. The question she was asked, did, though.

"Bust you?" Sherry repeated, in the classic 'buying time' maneuver. So there it was. She was in here under shady circumstances. Yes, Sherry had entered the room with the intention of making sure the girl was not up to no-good, but now that she was confronted with the task...she more or less crumbled. Confrontation with her peers had never been her strong point.

"Well, I suppose that depends," she began, trying to stay strong. "What are you up to in here?"

Sherry's head slowly went up, then down in a nod of comprehension. So that's how it was. Payback. The Lifer had never really had interactions of her own with Mark, but she'd heard a story or two. Hadn't everyone?

She studied the other trainee for a moment, her brain on overdrive. She was fairly certain she'd caught a bit of mischief in Kat's grin, and the girl didn't really look like the type who was out to cause all kind's of building-burning trouble. And truth be told, a bit of mischief didn't sound too bad, right at that moment. So, she shrugged.

"Well, if he deserves it, and you're not doing anything horrible, then, I don't see too much of a problem. What have you got planned?" Her voice held no accusations, but solid curiosity.

"I see," Sherry said slowly. Simple 'see what you can find and then figure something out'? Sherry could handle that.

"Oh! I'm Sherry. Nice to meet you," she nodded in Kat's direction. Kat...the name was familiar, but Sherry wasn't quite sure why she might have heard it. Too many other hunter's running around, obviously. And this one was probably going to get her into trouble. She really should just turn around and leave her to her mischief and whatever punishment--

It was far too late for that. Sherry was already poking through things, herself. Papers, folders, whatever. She wasn't quite sure when or why she'd agreed to stay and help, but curiosity was not about to let her walk away. Not with all this neat stuff lying arou-- "Oop!" One pile of papers tried it's best to slide away. In her haste to catch it, Sherry bumped something, and a screen flickered to life. Mark had let his computer fall asleep, or whatever computers did.

Sherry couldn't help but look at it, and for a good moment, she didn't move. "Um, Kat. Does...does that look like what I think it looks like?" She stood, pointing at the screen. She'd never seen them the from that angle, but still. She was staring at something that looked remarkably like the trainee showers.

Did they need a security camera there? That's what this was, right?

Kostya scurried into the public showers. He was loathe to do it in the middle of the day, but...the labs had spilled some ungodly chemical on him, and warned him if he didn't get it off soon, well.

He didn't want to know what the result would be. In his and Mimsy's mutual room, Konstantin wrapped himself in a fluffy black robe (patterned with 1s and 0s, because Syntax had wanted it), slinging a towel over his arm.

Sighing deeply, the Russian headed towards the showers, hoping it wouldn't be populated. He hesitated before going in, biting on his cuticles for a moment. This was always terrible. And nerve-wracking. And just. Not. Good.

Finally manning up, Kostya removed the robe and hurried to a shower in the corner-- but if the girls looked at his bits, well.

They'd probably think the camera was distorted. It couldn't possibly be that big for real, could it?!

(It could, to Kostya's immense shame. It could.)

Gale was only in the communal showers because the one in his house was annoyingly broken.

And he wore a pair of swim shorts and no Jinhai stop laughing at him he's only seventeen.

"Dude, you're the one with it hanging out like a trouser anaconda, Kind of hard NOT to talk about it." He closed one eye and started to work shower gel into his hands, rubbing it on his body.

"Do you like, drink milk or something? Born that way? Steriods? SOME KIND OF LIFE LAB RESEARCH?" Because damn dude, Dakota was a big boy, but Kostya out beat him.
