Aminah was wandering through Jauhar, scoping out the vegetation. She was looking to expand her garden in Tale, and it would make it so much easier to get Jauhar plants if they didn't have to actually treck to Jauhar every time. She wasn't quite sure what was good, but there was nothing she could do but research right now; maybe ask a shifter later what plants would be useful. With her irrigation system in place, she could re-create the humid air of Jauhar in Tale. Maybe if this trip went well enough, she could dedicate a new section of her garden to just Jauhar plants. There had to be something tastier than the bitter roots and vegetables that took up half of her garden. Right now they were the only things that supplied essential nutrients that the people needed.
She was lost in thought, thinking about how to contain her pseudo-Jauhar garden to permanently moisten the air. She checked leaves and shoots of all the plants, taking note of what they looked like and her initial thoughts about the plants. This would definitely go more smoothly if she had an insider to talk to. She decided to take a break and wiped the sweat off of her forehead. Jauhar wasn't hotter than Tale, but the air was so moist she couldn't help but become easily exhausted.

After her encounter with Maya in the forest of Jahaur the alkidike found she was having a lot of things on her mind. Primarily the fact that as much as her mind kept trying to keep Rishima as a girl, he really was a male. Her like for mankind had always been of distaste they were the weaker species...but how did that effect her opinion of the half breed?
Chewing on a piece of sweet grass she was sitting on a branch in a tree trying to not let her thoughts go around in hopeless circles. Luckily for her a distraction made itself available, her antenna twitched as she sensed the disturbance in the air and she turned her head to scan the forest floor only to catch sight of someone she hadn't seen in a very long time. It was the little Pup, whom she had run across when she had tried to catch up with her tribe for the great journey. A grin lit her face, this should be fun, leaving her spear she went to quietly sneak down off the branches hoping that she could surprise the mix breed.
"We'll looks like I found a lost pup again, maybe I should keep I her this time?" She spoke aloud, she had wanted to wrap her arms around her but something kept her distance, perhaps....a small bit of respect for the girls space? Jeranhad grown up some indeed.

Aminah had only just stopped for a break when she abruptly turned around, ready to defend herself. Her heart was racing and someone had snuck up on her. She should have known it would be Jerarda. She crossed her arms and pouted slightly, only Jerarda could make her so guarded.
"Oh. You."
Aminah could only pout. She didn't want to give the Alkidike any reason to approach her further. She wasn't looking forward to this meeting already. How anyone could be friends with someone so confrontational was beyond Aminah. Jerarda just had a way of making herself comfortable in Aminah's personal space, something Aminah didn't quite agree with.

Jerarda had to chuckle about how the girls guard was up almost instantly when she was spotted. The girl..now a woman was still pretty for a half breed and she found herself curious now about how the girls parents managed to over come their differences to fall in love and produce a child. The latter a subject she was..rather in the dark about, since her race were born from the great Tree Mother Aisha.
"Oh what a pout." Jera teased as she stopped about five feet away, giving the girl space. After all Jera had grown up since the last time they had met. A bit anyway. "Still upset about that kiss?" She inquired tilting her head and looking behind her, noting that the girl seemed to have been looking at plants before she had disturbed her.
"Well..if you want revenge I won't stop you." Jera continued as she dropped her hands to her side and offered herself as a free target. Though she hadn't intended to apologize to the girl...the more she thought about their first meeting she was starting to think...maybe she ought to.

Aminah eyed Jerarda carefully as she stepped back from her personal space. Jerarda seemed to have calmed down, but Aminah could never be sure with someone like Jerarda. It had taken her weeks to get over her first encounter with this Alkidike. She could only guess at what Jerarda would do by the end of this encounter.
Aminah dropped her guarded stance and sighed. She wasn't one to hold a grudge. And she didn't even know if a grudge is what she would call it. She definitely didn't want revenge.
She brushed her shorts, fidgeting a little and held out her hand to Jerarda to shake. "Sorry. I shouldn't be rude like that. Hi, Jerarda. How're you?" She tried to hold a smile on her face; she was just winging this whole thing right now. Jerarda still scared her a little. Of all the Alkidike she had met, Jerarda had been the most assertive and borderline confrontational. She had found in her wandering around that the other Alkidike she had met had been mild-mannered and intrigued by Aminah; rather nice women that she wanted to be friends with.

Jerarda had expected angry words perhaps even a slap in the face, a hand shake was certainly not what she thought she had coming. Looking to the hand she took it and gave it a firm shake, resisting the urge to pull her in close as she was just so....adorable with her pouting expressions.
Instead she released her hand and walked over to where Animah had been inspecting some plants. "So what are you doing here? " she inquired as there were other questions she had in mind, mostly involving the girls parents. But it seemed ...well a bit rude to just inquire about personal matters...straight off the bat right?
Jerarda had many questions...mostly due to the fact she wanted..to try and unite the tribes...though had no idea how. But if some people were able to fall in love they saw something besides race in each other. What was it? Could she figure out the key to making everyone get along?

Aminah shook Jerarda's hand and was a bit surprised that it had gone so well. So far so good; Amina could only hope that things would keep going the way they were and she could be cheery and friendly, and not fidgety, like she tended to be around Jerarda.
Aminah looked at Jerarda with a smile. "Just doing some homework." She rubbed the back of her head, trying to think of a way to explain to Jerarda that staring at plants grow was a hobby of hers without sounding a little insane. "I'm working on my garden and am looking to add some Jauhar plants to it." That didn't sound too bad. She didn't know why she was over thinking this whole thing. What she was doing was valuable to the village. She should be proud that things are going so well for her. "The only problem is I don't really know much about Jauhar flora." She sighed a little bit. "I wouldn't want to uproot plants from their homes if they won't do much good in Tale."

Chewing on her bottom lip the alkidike girl really really wanted to envelope the other in a hug, she was just so...cute. Adorable...especially when she was pouting. But Jera was trying to be good, trying to be a better influence on others...even if it was very very hard for her to do. Releasing the girls hand it felt lonely and she had to grab hold of her other arm to stop herself from grabbing the girl again.
Listening to her talk about the plants she ...cocked her head to the side, she was worried about the plants dying if she moved them? She supposed that would make sense...
"Well why don't you take a bit of the earth with you? That way your bringing a bit of its home with you. You could put it in a pot...hopefully the hot sun won't kill it, but you could put it..somewhere shadier." she mentioned mostly in a musing manner, Jera had no idea what would be good for plants but it seemed to make the most sense to her.

Aminah couldn't help but giggle at Jerarda's answer. It wasn't exactly what she meant when she talked of taking them to Tale, but Jerarda was trying to help and she didn't know much of what Aminah was doing.
"You're right, of course. And I have baskets waiting for them in my bag." She opened her bag at her side and produced some small woven baskets the size of her palm. They would be large enough for her to carry the plantlings she chose back with her and they could feed temporarily off of the nutrients in the grasses the baskets were made of. She returned the baskets to the bag and turned to stroke a small blue plant feeding off of the tree next to her. "I really just don't know what any of these plants do. I don't know what can be eaten or what heals bruises or can be used for teas." She turned to Jerarda and laughed. "I don't think anyone would appreciate me killing them with my garden in Tale."
She looked at Jerarda with curiosity on her face. "You wouldn't happen to know anything, would you?"

Oooooh. So that was what she meant, Jerarda ended up blinking at the girl, once more wanting to wrap the girl in a tight hug, she was just too...adorable! at the question she balked slightly, as much as she liked to claim she knew everything, she knew very little about what plants do and how they helped. The only exception being the ones that could kill, if touched or ingested. But having lived in the forest she was raised with that knowledge.
Scratching her cheek idly she looked away from Animah, maybe it would help to not want to pounce the girl if she didn't look at her. "I can't say I would be of any use to you, unless you wanted a body guard to go deeper into the forest. Besides the very obvious dangerous plants...I couldn't tell you much of the others." It was honest and blunt but that was just how Jerarda was, even if she wanted to do horrible and wonderful things to the girl.
"Did you want to go deeper? You can find only certain plants I am sure there."

Aminah thought as much. Jerarda didn't seem to be the type to want to examine plants. Regardless, anything would be a help for Aminah right now and this was as near perfect as she was going to get.
She smiled at Jerarda warmly and gestured toward the forest. "I would love to go deeper, if you don't mind coming along. I don't want to bore you but it probably won't be the most interesting trip you ever took." She laughed lightly and shrugged her shoulders. "Besides, any help is better than none and the poisonous plants are probably the most important to know about."
She had never been deeper into Jauhar than just the outskirts and thought that it would probably be best to have Jerarda lead the way. "After you," she said with a large smile.

There was a pause, perhaps it was obvious perhaps not, it could of been taken as hesitation but Jerarda finally shifted her feet to angle their direction deeper into the forest, reaching up behind her back she took spear in hand. She may not of liked the weapon to begin with but she had grown accustomed to it being in her hands and it felt better to have it out and ready just in case.
"You know I have to be honest, when I first saw you I wanted to ...give you a hug....and a kiss..." Jerarda started this awkward part of the conversation but felt it was needed to be discussed. " I wasn't exactly the most...mature the first time we met, and I must apologize, my travels have really...opened my mind about the world." The alkidike was being very open and honest with the girl she wasn't sure why..perhaps she felt she needed to atone for her past sins against the girl.
" I would still like to give you both a hug and kiss...but only if your not bothered by it."

Aminah was fumbling around in her bag, organizing the insides for her treck deeper into the forest when Jerarda began speaking.
Everything in her hands slipped out of her fingers and back into the bag, making a rucus she hoped Jerarda wouldn't put any meaning into. This was straight forward. Aminah's face burned hot and she could feel her hands getting sweaty.
She lifted her head away from her bag contents and to Jerarda. She thought back to their first kiss and how long it took her to get over it. Her mind wasn't sure if she was ready for more contact, but her body was telling her otherwise. She blushed even harder, now embarassed that she was blushing so furiously and lowered her head again. Her stomach was tensing and she could feel a tingling in her chest; something she attributed to the desire to want that close contact again. Was she really this easy? She barely knew Jerarda and definitely didn't welcome the first kiss. She shouldn't feel this way.
Hell, maybe she was this easy.
She shuffled her feet, leaning a little closer to Jerarda. "Ummm..." She couldn't bring herself to get up the nerve to do or say anything else. "I..." She mumbled incoherently. It was a mumble of approval, she could only hope that Jerarda took the hint. Her heart was pounding obnoxiously, it would be a miracle if Jerarda couldn't hear it.

Whether or not Jerarda took note of the ruckus she the only obvious signs she had noticed something was the arch of one of her eyebrows. Her black eyes took in the girl before her who seemed to have gotten flustered all over again by her question of asking for a hug and a kiss. Perhaps she had been asking a lot of the girl, after all she had just...wanted to do it so badly this girl was just so positively adorable...but was it right of her to ask of such a demand?
As the girl shuffled towards her and leaned in her direction she supposed that was consent and giving a broad smile she wrapped an arm around Animah and pulled her in close. She knew Phenyo would be plenty upset with her for doing this..flaunting herself in front of people, giving out kisses and hugs where she should be saving them for someone whom she had feelings for. And well..she did like this girl, ...but did that warrant enough for her to press her feelings on her?
One arm around her waist as she held her spear in the other she leaned in and about to kiss the girl on the lips...paused and then went to kiss her lightly on the nose. No it wasn't right for her to just press her feelings against this one. Chuckling she squeezed her a bit tightly before letting go.
"Your getting off easy today." She teased as she shifted position to look ahead of them. "so....onwards?"

Jerarda had Aminah up in an embrace before she could comprehend that this was happening. Her eyes widened at Jerarda's approaching lips and she shut her eyes quickly preparing for what she expected was next. She still didn't have much experience with this, but closing her eyes seemed like something she should do when expecting a kiss.
She opened her eyes abruptly, a confused look on her face when she felt Jerarda's soft lips on her nose. She looked up at Jerarda and blushed a bit at how stupid she felt for thinking that Jerarda would kiss her on the lips as she expected.
Jerarda let her go and she took a step back on slightly unsteady legs.
"Oh... ok..." Aminah was taken aback at Jerarda's sudden gain of maturity. She really didn't think that she would be dealing with a completely new Jerarda when she first saw her here. She cleared her throat and her eyes shifted back and forth between Jerarda and the forest.
