Jacob grumbled as he plodded along, a bag held in the crook of one arm and his hands shoved in his pockets, the snow crunching under his boots as he headed towards... Well, nothing in particular really. All he knew was that he wanted to draw, and wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to draw. Landscapes? Snow made such a pretty addition to landscapes. Too bad it was also bitterly cold and an awful nuisance.
He slowed to a stop finally as he neared a copse of trees, covered in snow. Eve halted beside him, her breath visible in the chilly air as she turned to regard him with her large gold eyes, but he simply patted her shoulder. "You go on and have yourself a good run," he told her, and then gestured at the trees, "I'm gonna settle down here and draw for a bit."
In response, Eve nudged his head with her nose and sent a warm, affectionate feeling through their bond before she sprang away to run and play in the snow. More specifically, to run and play in the snow that was well away from his focus. She knew quite well when to hold still for a drawing and when to avoid coming between him and whatever he was busy sketching.
A crooked smile lit his face as he watched his doe prance about, and then he dusted the snow off a nearby rock and sat down. He pulled his flat bag out and from it, produced a large pad of drawing paper and a pencil, and then set to work. The sun would only light it this perfectly for a brief period of time, and he wanted to capture it before the angle changed too much.

Ruse had never much cared for the cold, but today was an exception. It was one of the first snowfalls of the year, and she always made a point of walking through the fresh, clean snow while the air was still cool and lovely, but not bitterly so. She was alone today- her shop was closed, and she had no need of escort at the moment, as she had her parasol acting as a cane for the moment.
Ruse found herself wandering towards the woods- something she commonly did, but rarely allowed herself to get too far. Today, however, something compelled her to go a little further than usual. She could here some movement ahead- probably a rabbit or fox that would scamper off when she approached. She ignored it, not knowing it was a deer, and that she was about to run into a man's back as he drew...
