The low, rattling moan echoing through the school likely wouldn't even phase most students at this point, except for the fact that it belonged to something big. In fact, if one stopped to listen, they might notice that the sound was getting louder and louder, as though whatever was making it was coming closer. And indeed, he was! Gargantuan was whining and grumbling to himself, clearly out of sorts. Any swamp beast would be, naturally.
Why, that wyvern ghoul had taken all his lunch! And had made him feel like a bad boy for it! He was confused and uncertain, and really, feeling rather put out about the entire thing. Even worse, he was hungry, and there was nothing nearby to eat!
Wait a minute.
A second glance proved him wrong, and Gargantuan lunged at a nearby trash bin, his massive jaws gaping before he quite literally attempted to bite the thing in half. It was certainly a sight, seeing the monster savaging the trash can like it was some delicious piece of meat. Trash was spraying every which way...

The big guy definitely looked out of sorts. Nahm considered the wisdom of getting out of the way. His path intersected directly with the big swamp monster's, and someone that large and that grumpy might well swat him out of sheer annoyance. When the large green boil stopped to chomp a trash can in half instead, the grue stopped in his tracks to watch rather than reversing his course. Well, now. He could really appreciate a good bite, and damn that was a good bite. Nice teeth, too. He applauded.

Roch had been doing something on the roof of the building next to the other boils--it might have included booby traps for any would be Sandy Claws, but that's a subject for later. He jerked as he heard the metal being crunched and headed for the edge of the roof. When he saw what was happening, he groaned--and fought a laugh. "Geeee!!" he bellowed down, cupping his hands around his mouth. "Don't eat that! It'll dull your teeth!" And probably cut up his innards. He looked at Nahm, shook his head, and shadowstepped--aiming for a foot above the snow. He slid, falling on his a** in between the two others. "Owww."

The sound of applause was enough to distract Gargantuan temporarily, swiveling his head around until he had located the source of the sound. If he'd had eyes, they would have blinked owlishly, but as it was, a large and toothy smile was offered instead! Of course, this sent the trashcan smashing to the ground, and the swamp beast stared at it as though he couldn't possibly fathom how it had moved so suddenly.
Ear fins flared with surprise at the sound of his name, but G practically danced when Roch appeared out of nowhere! Like magic! "Roooooochhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh." The monster rumbled, clumsily dropping to his knees so he could nudge his bony school against the boil affectionately. "What's dull?" He wanted to know, his thick tongue running curiously over his teeth.

Nahm grinned back, making sure as many teeth showed as possible, glinting in the shadows of his hood. It was still a fairly friendly smile, though. He dodged some stray debris that went flying when the halved trash can dropped to the ground.
Roch's stumble and fall got another round of applause.

"Dull means not sharp," Roch said. "Means y'gotta chew harder--you're not helpin' bro," he said to Nahm, getting to his feet and leaning against G. "Have you guys met? Y'got a lot in common!" he said.
It wasn't every guy that Roch would just lean against like a giant couch. "G, this is Nahm, Nahm, this is G. Y'both eat everything--" And he dug out his phone. "Y'hungry, big guy?" he asked G, since it was pretty obvious. Idly he wiped the snow off his pants as he called the pizza guy.

In response, G's jaws gaped as wide as they possibly could in a grin, returning the favor by showing as many teeth as possible. In swamp beast culture, this was a very good thing! Clearly he was already fond of Nahm, clumsily scrambling up to his feet in turn and snuffling at the grue's head with open curiosity.
"Oh," G said, peering between the two boils for a moment. "Nope. Hi! Am G. Likes eatin'." The mention of if he was hungry earned another comically delighted expression, his thick tail thumping against the snow with enthusiasm. "Ya!"

"I am a very helpful individual," Nahm said, and swept a bow to Roch.
"Hi, G," he said to the swampmonster. "Nice to meetcha. You got good teeth there." A pretty high compliment, considering his species.

"Yeah, I'd like... oh, thirty of your five seed pizzas," Roch was saying into the phone. "Yeah--no, there's just three of us--yeah, probably not enough, but hell, I got in trouble last time I went over that much--jack, man, he'd take the credit card away! Yeah. Um... sure, we'll be lookin' for him," he said, hanging up.
"Sorry, I'm goin' cheap this time," he said to the others. "He should be here in a lil bit." Then he shot Nahm a dry look. "You're so helpful, man, that people go out of their way t'avoid needin' help."

"Hiiiii Naaaahmmmmm." Gargantuan's tail smacked noisily against the floor, clearly delighted with the comment. After all, a swamp beast wasn't anything unless he had an impressive set of chompers! "G likes your teefs, too!" In fact, Nahm probably had dominance rights, if he so-chose to use them! G certainly would have no problem deferring, at any rate.
Of course, once the beast realized that Roch really was going to feed him, Gargantuan snatched the poor boil up in a bone-crushing hug. "Yaaaaay! Roch is G's bestest friend!" He declared, and Roch was just going to have to deal with the monster spinning them around in decidedly loopy circles.

"I like this guy," Nahm told Roch. "Can we keep him?" He grinned at G. "See, if they don't need help, then no problem, right?" He spread his hands. "It's all good. I'm a true altruist."

G's tail thumped immediately at the praise, grinning toothily at Nahm with pleasure once more. It didn't take a lot to please him, one might notice. "G likes helpful!" he chimed in, only to stare at Roch curiously.
Pretty colors!
After a moment though, the swamp beast would reluctantly loosen his death grip on the boil.

Nahm was halfway folded over laughing, once again totally unhelpful. When G had let go of Roch and Nahm had managed to get his gales of laughter under control, he offered Roch a hand up, though.

"Hey, G! Nahm wants a hug too!" Roch said evilly as he saw the pizza delivery guys approaching. He dug out his wallet, pulling out his granddad's dead-it card to pay, then took the first tower of pizzas to hand out-- If anyone was free to take it, that was.
