To say Nevena was plotting something was a vast understatement. The young gorgon was absently wandering outside the school grounds, her bright, golden eyes lost in thought. It was hard to say what, exactly, she was thinking about, but every so often she'd actually toss her head back with a delighted laugh before scribbling furiously in the notebook clutched in her arms.

Oh yes, she was scheming, and if she had her way, she would go down as the greatest prankster in Amityville Academy! Students would tremble in terror and awe when they spoke her name, and there would be horror stories for generations for those who had the misfortune to be caught in her tricks!

Still giggling under her breath, the girl's hair reflected her mood, hissing animatedly and writhing to itself. Grinning to herself in a very satisfied sort of way, Nevena sighed to herself, all but rocking onto the tips of her heels. She was distracted enough that she had no idea that she might not be alone out here--else she certainly wouldn't have been cackling to herself like a fool!

It seemed about as good of a day as any to be wandering on around the campus of Amityville. Other horsemen might not have taken too much of a liking to the place or the students, but Tseng didn't mind them too much. They were an intriguing lot to say in the least. And the way the campus currently was with all the snow was something for sure. It never snowed back on his homeland. And the current home of the horsemen certainly received none of the stuff either.

It was all sand. Sand, sand, sand, and more sand. Though he supposed the Famine members would prefer that.

He did miss the lush scenery of the Conquest Isles though.

As he wandered on about, something caught his attention. The sound of laughter! His curiosity was soon grabbed and he went about to try and find the source. It wasn't too long before he managed to spot the girl with snakes in her hair. There wasn't anything else around so he really couldn't be certain what the cause of laughter was.

"Say. What is so funny, Lady-Snakehead?" he asked curiously.

Lady Snakehead? Her head snapped around so suddenly that it was a wonder it didn't come off. With a rasping hiss, her hair rose up around her face like a deadly frame. There was a long pause as she looked the Horseman up and down, evaluating him as though seeing if he was even worth the effort. When she finally did speak, her tone was composed, if not a little disdainful. "You wish to know? I don't know if you'd find it funny..."

Nevena made a great show of thinking, hemming and hawing to herself while one pale finger tapped against her chin. Suddenly, "Very well! It's something I read in this notebook. Would you like to see?"

She waved it innocently about in one hand, the cover depicting skulls and spiders and other appropriate things for a ghoul her age. "Just one peek!"

The sharp turn and hiss from the snakes intrigued Tseng quite a bit. Rather than being intimidated, he just grinned to the female student, simply waiting. She might have come off as a little disdainful, but he really didn't mind all that much. No instead, his curiosity was simply piqued even more. His eyes widened a little in anticipation. He must know! The show of thinking didn't really set off any sort of suspicion. He did the same many times himself.

"Ah! Yes! I would indeed like to see!" he exclaimed excitedly. His smile grew brighter as she brought the notebook into view. Leaning over, he waited to see just what it was that she found so amusing.

Nevena's smile grew wider and sweeter as he agreed, and her hair writhed to itself with obvious pleasure. Of course he did, clever boy! "I thought you might! Come here." The notebook was flipped open, pages spread wide. "Unfortunately, the writing is very small, so you'll have to lean in to see it!"

And once he did that, she was going to slam the notebook right on his face. Lady Snakehead, indeed!

At first, Tseng didn't really see anything that was particularly humorous. Small writing? He squinted and leaned in. No... he still didn't see anything. Just as he was about to say that, he ended up taking the notebook right to the face. Recoiling back, he clutched his face, feeling the sting from the sudden assault. Once he recovered, he looked towards the gorgon incredulously.

"Ack! Why would you do such a thing! There was no writing to begin with! A trap! A ploy!" he remarked before leaning back and placing the back of his hand to his forehead, "What hath I done to deserve such a cruel trick!"

The gorgon laughed with delight as fell so trustingly into her trap, clapping her hands like a child before she neatly tucked the notebook away. Folding her hands behind her back, she simply beamed at the boil, ever-so-pleased with herself. "That was for the name, of course! It's Nevena, and you won't forget it now!" Her good humor was restored, however, and she'd extend a hand as though for him to shake.

"It's all fun and games, of course!" She confided--and it was true, but only because she'd gotten the upper hand. "Who are you supposed to be? I've never seen you around before!" And clearly she wanted to know everything that went around Amityville.

Nevana. He would remember this for certain. Tseng straightened up and looked over the gorgon a little more critically now. Fun and games, hm.. Perhaps he'd let this one slide. For now. But he would still remember this incident.

"I am Tseng Lee, Imperial Soldier of the great Lost Clans!" he exclaimed before bowing down deeply, flourishing out an arm as he did so, "A... hm.. well I suppose it is a pleasure to meet you, Lady Mischief. I may need to get back at you one day for this ploy of yours."

The way he said it suggested that he didn't mean it in a serious manner.

"I take it you are one of the many students attending the Academy?"

"Soldier!" Nevena blinked at that, sounding at least a little impressed. Why, fancy titles were always signs of important people! The Lost Clans... She'd heard some about them, but not enough to satisfy her curiosity. So he did have manners! She couldn't help but preen to herself at the dramatic bow, smiling behind her fingers until she had smoothed out her expression.

"It's always nice to meet someone important." The gorgon murmured almost to herself, tossing her head once more. "I would like to see you try, Sir Tseng!" He might have been kidding, but from the way her eyes flashed with amusement, she would have welcomed the attempt.

"Naturally. Of course, I am a model of a perfect monster compared to my fellow students, so don't be surprised if they're less impressive than I!"
PostPosted: Fri Jan 04, 2013 7:49 pm

Smiling, Tseng nodded to her, puffing up his chest at being called important. Of course every clan member was important in their own right. They were a glorious lot. Well. Except maybe Zhiqiang. But he was another story.

"Oooh? Well only time will tell that one for certain," he said while wagging his finger a little, "I have met a number of impressive students already, after all! But should you truly be as perfect as you say, then I am even more lucky to have met you on this fateful day."

The gorgon's eyes narrowed suspiciously at the mention of other students, her hair writhing with a bit more intensity than before. Of course, his flattery was enough to put her back in a properly preening mood again, her lips pulling back to bare sharp, thin fangs in a smile. "Maybe I misjudged you, Soldier! You're much smarter than I thought."

Her look became somewhat more thoughtful. "What are you doing all the way out here? Shouldn't you be on some glorious crusade?" That was what Horsemen did, right? Something about their homes being destroyed--Nevena really didn't know all the details.

"Ah! Not today. Today, I am simply wandering about and enjoying the scenery. A little bit of a change from home you could say!" Tseng said with a nod.

"But who knows. Perhaps I shall have a glorious mission to take the next day! Or the day after! Anything can happen," he grinned.

Was he really just wandering? Or was he on some secret mission that he couldn't possibly tell her? Ohh, now she just had to know. "Hm! Very well, then! Since you have nothing better to do--I will grace your presence and accompany you while you're here!"

A wonderful reward, wasn't it? Poor Tseng.

"Tell me! Are you the ones that hunt the humans? Have you killed any?" Her eyes glittered with delight, and, oh yes, her hands had moved to cup her face as though she was about to swoon.

"Very well!"

Nodding, he started to continue walking, when the gorgon asked him a rather particular question. Turning he, eyed her before grinning.

"Perhaps! I do certainly help gather fear. How I go about that..." he started before waving a hand over his face as if placing an air of mystery before him, "I shall leave that up to your imagination."

Nevena's eyes widened at that statement. Why... it'd almost sounded really kind of cool!

Tseng, stahp.

Lifting her nose into the air shortly afterwards, feigning indifference. "I bet you've never even seen a human, let alone gotten fear from one. After all, if you fell for a little prank so easily... Humans must be much cleverer than that!"

"Still," She sighed after a moment, casting a suspicious, sidelong glance in his direction. "I suppose you are a horseman. Maybe you've got some hidden potential I'm just not seeing!"
