Even with such questions in her most secret of hearts, she managed to move up through the ranks of the Negaverse; Captain Moonstone was surer of herself and her part in the Negaverse, but it wasn't until she began sparring with General Linarite that she finally figured it all out. Linarite helped Moonstone to understand...and she fell into her duties with a renewed resolve and sense of self. She began throwing herself wholeheartedly into energy and star-seed collection, into furthering the Cause.
When the blue haired General defected from the Negaverse, Moonstone felt as though she'd been sucker-punched in the gut. The Captain went to Zinkenite after a time, taking orders and direction from the man that was, like she was, mourning Linarite's loss. Moonstone took new recruits under her wing, training them and trying to help them find their place or learn to be more effective soldiers just as the bluenette had once done for her.
As time went by, the ache caused by one of their best and brightest defecting faded; many used it as a cautionary tale - don't fall for the senshi's lies! Even the Great General Linarite had not been safe from the evil mind-control available to the filthy bastards of the White Moon. But one day, Zinkenite came and told her that Linarite was back. She had returned to them, back where she belonged - yes, she was changed some, but it was still her.
Moonstone wanted to go to her, to reconnect immediately, but knew that Linarite would likely be overwhelmed by the sheer number of Negaverse members wanting to do the self-same thing. She would wait a good while before trying, to give the bluenette time to reacclimate; being corrupted wasn't easy on mind or body - she could imagine that it was no different between Senshi and Negaverse in that manner. Pandora still remembered her induction to the Negaverse - it had been so painful...but worth every second of that beautifully purifying pain, now.
Wary but excited, Captain Moonstone sought out Linarite; if they talked...if they sparred...well, either would be fine with her. She just wanted to reconnect with the woman that had so helped her find her place...Zinkenite had told her that Lina's memories were kind of fuzzy now, that she may not remember things. It was all part of the corruption processes...she understood that.
They were strangers again, but Moonstone was hoping to change that.
Right now.
