• Not a real rule, but we recommend you read up a bit on Tianxia!
• Every regular SoA in Tianxia (and we encourage familiars to do the same) needs two names. Their 'common name', in any language, and their 'proper name', which must be in Chinese! You can read more about names in the Pride Information thread.
• Everyone can enter! If you have no SoA or you have your own SoA zoo, this contest is for you! Har har.
• You may enter all the contests, but you can only win one regular SoA and one familiar.
• SoA given out here must have their common name and their proper name, or Tianxia name. Their Tianxia name must be in Chinese! You can read more about the names and their significance in the Pride's info thread.

Wearing their House colors, these are the only SoA in this giveaway who will have a set House to go to. So the House you will fill in on the form is what decides who will go where! Please pay attention to that, so there aren't any mistakes and misunderstandings. Below if your guide!
The black and yellow male lion is a member of the East House, he is wearing green to let everyone know!
The brown and white lioness is proudly sporting a black goat's skin, the color (or lack thereof!) of the North House!
Looking beautiful in white, the gray cheetah is well suited for the West House!
The dashing red and white male lion is perfectly suited for the South House.
So, how might you win one of these lovely SoA? It's very simple, you need to tell us their backstory. Maybe you'll tell us who they are, where they're from, how they got to Tianxia, or some great feat they've done. But... there's a catch!
Because Tianxia is loosely based on Chinese culture and customs, we want the story you tell us to tie in with Chinese myths, legends, tales and/or folklore. How you fit these elements in is entirely up to you; perhaps the SoA witnessed something from a story, or is a folk hero in his/her own right! You can mix in elements from several different stories, or you can use only one. That's up to you!
We will judge based on how much we like your entry (duh) and how well we can see the elements of Chinese myth in your story. Which isn't to say they can't be subtle. ;D
Here are a few links to help you out; they might not be the best sources ever, but they're something at least! You might have to click a few links in them to get to a story. You don't have to limit yourself to these, if you know a different story, feel free to use it!

So there, you have at least something to start off with! I'll apologize in advance if any of those links have popups; on my computer they didn't, but, you never know.
Now, as for ranks. Like everyone else they can get the basic pick of hunter, guard, messenger, artisan or student. But for these guys you can also pick: ranger, soldier, secretary, storyteller, bard, performer, crafter, painter, teacher, matchmaker, overseer or trader. Just make sure to keep in mind what House your SoA is going to be in! Information on those ranks can be found here, here, here, here and here.
All four of these SoA were colored by Ecavi, and their designs are inspired by the chinese zodiac. The lioness is a goat, the red/white lion is a rooster, the cheetah is a horse and the black lion is a dragon. The edits on the lioness were done by F a y t h - x, and the edits on the other three were done by Thalion.

Talk about lucky! The guy above has his pick of just about any rank in Tianxia, even ones you'd normally need a lot of RP to get to. His only limitations are the ranks cannot be royal/hereditary; he has no family in Tianxia, so he can't have inherited the title from anyone. He also cannot be a priest, monk, fortuneteller or guardian.
Basically, this is an excellent opportunity to own a character in a privileged position in the pride with relatively little effort! He can be a magistrate, an ambassador, doctor, philosopher, overseer, whatever works for you.

To win this girl, you need to start a rumor about her. What do we mean by rumor? That is best explained by reading this post in the community thread! Rumors are a feature in Tianxia that really only serve to make RP more fun, and give people more stuff to do.
Because the rumor doesn't really have to be true and could just be made up, the rumor you chose can even be a little absurd! Have fun with it! Just remember to keep in mind, the winner's rumor will be added to the thread, and people will be allowed to use it in RP!

The leopard above is guilty. Or that is what he has been declared! Simply put, he is currently in the worst position someone can be within Tianxia, a criminal. As such, he is required to work without question or compensation, and being too lippy might earn him a thwacking.
What ever did he do to get himself in this position? Well, that is up to you! As far as history goes, you can assume he'd been in Tianxia for a little while and settled in, before he did... whatever he did.
Tianxia is a pride with orally established law and punishment, you can read more about it here. You don't have to limit yourself with things listed there; because of the oral nature of law, and the ability of the Lords, Ladies, Emperor and Empress to pass judgement as they see fit, he might have done something different.
About being a criminal. He isn't treated nicely, but not exactly abused. People will be curt and generally impolite to him, and if they ask him for a 'favor' he should probably do it; good behavior and helpfulness will get him out of the predicament. Children are told to avoid him. No one is supposed to beat him to a pulp, but he might get pushed around a bit, or humiliated. He shouldn't react to this, it'd get him in trouble. This process isn't really just a matter of being mean, the idea is for him to have a pretty bad experience and learn from his mistakes.
To be easily identified, he's been equipped with a pair of earrings, one on each ear for visibility from all sides, and a tail ring. These are rather large, if not too heavy, and colored in black and bright orange. He should not remove any of these until his time is up; if he is seen and recognized without them, he will receive a beating!
Once he has redeemed himself, the items will be removed, though of course the scar from the earrings on his ears will remain. Afterwards he can go back to normal life, and everyone should treat him just fine, though the scars that remain on his ears (from the earrings) might lead to wariness from others. He is free to go on with life and be happy and make a living. It is up to you when that happens, just ask us about it!
Now, with all that info out of the way, you should be good to enter for this lovely boy!
