The wait wasn't anything the witch wasn't used to, as she liked to make calls on quite a number of people and almost always caught them unawares. Which, honestly, was a bit more fun because she absolutely adored being unexpected. It gave everything a fun sense of drama and confusion, for no one was ever wholly sure of what would happen next. Perhaps this little thought was what distracted her more from the sound of the door opening as well as the absent look on Sophie's face. Finally Belladonna was roused back to her surroundings and patiently waited in the doorway for the zombie to come back and greet her properly.
"Hope I'm not interrupting anything!" The witch chirped as she flounced into the room and watched with curious eyes as Sophie bustled about to clean it up. Unexpected, indeed! Oh well, it was really only to be expected when the witch had not given her notice of a visit. All the more fun for her to see what the ghoul's room looked like when it was not receiving a visitor. As rooms were such wonderful indicators of personality, and Belladonna the kind to be vastly interested in such, she peered happily around until invited over to the couch.
With a smile she skipped over and sat next to Sophie, where she first bestowed a quick hug.
"Oohhh, sewing you say? Might I ask wha--" But Sophie finished that sentence for her, more or less, and the witch only smiled at her some more. One finger rose to tap against the ghoul's shoulder as Belladonna tilted her head to one side.
"You should definitely let me see. That way I will be able to better praise you when you have finished and it looks even more marvelous than it surely does now." And because she was horrifically curious thing and wanted to know what Sophie had been working on. But now was not exactly the time for that and instead the witch presented the basket to Sophie.
"Merry Christmastevel! Err, late Christmastevel?" It was past the holiday, after all...
"You and I haven't really had a chance to chat much without the zomboils hovering over with their tall stature--" She wasn't bitter to be so short compared to both Mort and especially Alexander why would you say that,
"--And I figured you not only had quite a lot of questions, but that it would be better told from me. Also I made you a present!" And cookies! Both of which resided in the basket and were once again shoved into Sophie's arms.
