A few random, and really random, Hunters would suddenly receive text messages on a rather foggy Friday morning. random artist Hellooooooo beautiful lady this is the Matrix, you know, like Morpheus but way cooler and stuff, and you have been chosen for a special task, you know like Matrix special stuff, you should- random artist come meet me in my office! The office! Ask for Mark the Awesomenator Matrix dude okay. poke mattix I'm onto you..... watching your every move man... your every move. If you don't come to my office to do this mission, I'll tell everyone YOU ARE G istoleyurvamps Ding ding! This is your superior Mark the Awesomenator calling! I have a special task for you, a very special task yes.... come to my office ASAP

On this particular morning. Jason had still been in bed and enjoying a rather nice sleep in, when the phone next to his bed began to vibrate with the sounds of received message. Groggily he opened his eyes, made a few random grabs at the phone before he found it and read the text message.
It was from Mark.
Sitting up in his bed, the moon trainee re-read the message. Either he was to go to Marks room and do this 'mission' or he would tell everyone he was ...g?
What the hell was g?
Searching his messages, he found another one from him with the letters ay. It didn't take him long to figure out what he meant, and he sighed. He really didn't want Mark to spread rumors, though he was hesitant to go along with whatever he had planned. But then Mark part of death division, which meant Caelius, which mean all kinds of nope if he didn't go. So after a few minutes of getting dressed, Jason headed towards Marks office.
Having never been to his office, the moon trainee was pretty stumped upon seeing the door and the many stickers on the front.
"H-hello?" He said, knocking on the door.

Saya wasn't accustomed to such text messages but it wasn't bad to receive these kind of messages, right? In fact, it was a little flattering, since the word "special" was always a nice word .. in most situations, if it didn't concern halloween or implicitly bad connotations.
Since this didn't seem to concern either of the two, Saya decided to take it in a optimistic way. The trainee spent a short time getting ready, exiting her room. She had yet to braid her hair but it was nothing she couldn't do on the way, with a little extra time for stray thoughts. She might have mistakenly stopped in front of several rooms, as she paused to pull her blond hair through the hairband. The result was, she had to spend a little extra time finding the office, ending up as the second trainee on the way in.
"I'm looking for .." She flipped open her phone with both hands, intent on memorizing what the text had said.
"..Mark the Awesomenator Matrix .. dude?"
Her voice was possibly the most sincere of the three.

Her phone rang. Rolling over onto her side, Solia looked at it, then picked it up. The text got a tilt of her head mostly as she wasn't sure what this special task was but it sounded important. And Solia? Solia liked to help with important things. Jumping up, getting dressed, grabbing a quick coffee, she happily ran over to the office of her superior. Jason and a girl she didn't know were already there, rising her levels of curiosity further. Bright and wide eyed, she smiled at them both. "Morning Jason. And uh-" she saw the moon emblem and just trailed off. "I'm Solia! Did Mr. Mark the Awesomenator of Doom Jedi Master call you both too?" She looked at the door. "Mr. Mark the Awesomenator of Doom Jedi Master Sir, Solia Delacroix is here reporting for duty sir!" She was READY. So ready.

Upon seeing the other two hunters appear, Jason grinned uneasily to them both. Solia he knew very well, the other no so much, and he was stunned to see she was part of his division. He really needed to keep track his own team members. Seriously. "Hey, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got called." Because it was always good to have more support on a mission. But he soon stopped talking when they addressed...Mark. "....Awesomenator of Doom Jedi Master...Matrix....." He wanted to go back to his room now.

Mark, seated on this swivel chair throne of awesomeness was all swagger as the three trainees arrived. All swagger, pushing himself higher up in his chair, adjusting his slouch, and giving the three his best smug look. "I'm glad some people here know how to address their clearly awesome and amazing superiors." It wasn't too hard to let words of flattery get to his overstuffed head. "So, you have arrived, minions, just in time to partake in the greatest task yet this island has ever seen! Oh well wait, scratch that, second greatest task. Third. Third and a half. The third and a half greatest task and the greatest you will ever do! Are you ready for such greatness, it is a terrible burden to bear for one so young, a terrible burden."
"Now, behold, feast your eyes on this!!" The Death assistant gave the trainees absolutely no time to reply as he fumbled with several articles on his table until he finally came out with a shopping catalog to Best Buy, the cover page remarking some fantastic sales on TV screens and the like.

Solia smiled at Mark. This far, Mark hadn’t really done her any wrong per-say. He’d given her permission to re-use an old golem to go investigate Israfel’s past. So to her, this was not going to be that terrible of a mission. She didn’t mind being a minion either really. A minion for a special very important but not the most important mission. Still didn’t bother her. Not even when he brought out the ad for the TVs.
She didn’t like the thought that this would be the greatest thing she’d ever do but it would be a start. A good start at least. Gravitating towards Jason without thinking too hard about it she smiled to her superior. “So you want us to buy a TV?” Jason and the moon girl got a smile. “That shouldn’t be too hard!”

".. Best buy?" Saya tipped her head, the puzzled bewilderment clear in her expression for a moment. But clearly, Mark was a very important person here and if Deus needed television screens, then that was what they needed. Questioning wasn't in Saya's instinct. Catching the other two's smiles, she returned a gummy smile, a little bit nervous as her hands linked behind her back.
She peered closer at the paper that the assistant was holding proudly, eyes opening wide. The young blond trainee emitted a surprised sound, upon closer inspection at the prices.
"Those are some really good deals, Mark the Awesomenator Matrix! You're really good at finding those." Saya would have liked one of those smaller tv screens, to play some upcoming games that were supposed to come out. But free time and Deus didn't really work with finishing a game, much less, starting one.
The specialty level didn't seem to match the difficulty level, at the moment!

Jason had nothing against Mark either, of course. He was just unsure of weather or not he had all his marbles in his head. Not to mention the looks and comments he was getting. But he would persevere of course. Because they had a very important mission of...

He took one look at the TV ad, blinking a few times as the details began to seep into his head, before he nodded.
Yes, he nodded. Why was he going to complain? It held virtually no danger to himself or his colleges, so he'd go along with it. Look good in his superiors eyes and all that.
"Those are pretty cheap, actually." He mused out loud. Perhaps he could put one on lay buy and buy one himself. He hadn't had a TV in...ages...

Encouraged, Mark bobbed his head a little too enthusiastically. "I know right, I mean look at these sales, seventy percent off a Samsung 60 inch LCD with HDMI! Seventy percent off! Do you know what I'm going to like, do to that baby when I get my hands on it, oh there will be-" The Death assistant paused as if he suddenly realized the three were still in the room. -"Lots of important Huntery stuff yeahhh......"
He quickly handed the brochure over to Jason, nudging the most reluctant of the three. "Well there you have it, a mission that's like your super awesome promotion mission. You only get promoted if you pass it okay. And make sure that TV comes back in one piece, and that you find an attendant and ask for the special package deal, that is the most important part to the... safety.... of.... Hunters....." Mark shiftily looked to one side, suggesting a slew of ulterior motives. "Well I'm a busy man so like, have fun and stuff! I expect it delivered to my door in no less than four hours!"
Slam. The door closed rather firmly behind them, and perhaps the trainees had just enough time to wonder what Mark was up to, exactly. Nonetheless, the brochure clearly said "Best Buy Bellingham Square, Washington" so at least the trainees had a location. poke mattix Time to head to the portal! random artist Time to head to the portal! istoleyurvamps Time to head to the portal!

He didn't want to think about what Mark's intentions were (though he was guessing something to do with computers, or watching movies. Totally innocent stuff. Maybe)
Jason was then given the brochure, taking note of the requirements. "Right, promotion mission, request special package deal, make sure TV is unharmed.....WAIT PROMOTION MISSION?!!?"
Oh, the stark surprise mixed with horror on the moon trainees face would of been a sight to see. Surprise at the fact it was Mark, using this to promote some hunters. (He had no idea Mark could do that kind of stuff.), mixed with the horror that this was their promotion mission. He had forgotten about that request, but now he was faced with this he felt weak at the knees. He looked at the brochure once more, re-reading everything he could on it. Was there some kind of trick? Was Washington crawling with horsemen?!?!
Before he could inquire more, he was pushed out of the office and left staring at the signs on the door.
".....Lets....go to the portals...." Clearly Jason was just a little disheveled as he slowly walked towards them.

Taking out a notebook to copy notes in, Saya's neat cursive was scattered a little crookedly amongst the blank page as she frantically tried to write down everything Mark was saying. Saya was pondering how a tv could be his baby, until she caught the snippets of "promotion mission," "pass" and "four hours."
... Ooh.
"I wonder .. if all promotion missions go like this." Saya said out loud, as she followed the male trainee towards the portals. "I'm sure that it'll be a great mission. Um .. " Saya trailed off, as she realized she had no clue how to address the other trainees in her division. "Hi there! I'm Sayaka Valens .. I dont believe I've seen you around before." Saya spoke as they walked to the portals, tucking her notebook back into a small almost unseeable pocket.

Solia had no idea what Mark was going to do to the TV. Aside from give it runic upgrades probably. Maybe he was going to spy on others. Do secret Death things. Like spy and get the dirt on other hunters? In any event, Solia smiled and nodded. Probably the safest thing to do really. As Jason was handed the brochure, Solia leaned against him briefly while trying to read more info. She almost missed the promotion mission bit until… Well Jason played parrot. Backing off from one moon, she began to hover near the other one. “……….Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” Solia had been thinking the promotion would have been something like stalking for secrets. Or interviewing people to try and get them to confess to things. Scouting some area, doing field work only more intensively? Getting a TV hardly seemed… Deathy. Or moonly really. Actually no, moons could defend the TV from crazy shoppers. With deals like these… it was going to need defending really. “Special deal, four hours. Yes sir!” She even saluted him as he left them to their own devices. Swinging her arms behind her she followed Jason, grinning as Saya introduced herself. "Sayaka~ that's a pretty name! It's nice to meet you! I uh... Already you Jason." Only because of various accidents really. Still off to the portal they would go.

Even in his worried state, he turned to give the other moon hunter a smile at her introduction. "It's nice to meet you Sayaka. My names Jason Kenneth. I don't tend to stray far from the library or my room, so thats probably why you haven't seen me before. As for how promotion missions go....I don't really know myself, as this is the first one I've gone on. But it sounds far less dangerous then our usual missions..."
He then slowed down a little, so he could walk beside Solia and make some idle chit chat. By idle chit chat he remained silent for a few minutes before he was able to say what he wanted to say. "It's...really amazing to see you here Solia...on this mission...cause you've only been here a short while."

"Thank you!" Saya had never been complimented on her name so it left her a little flustered but Solia instantly had a good impression of the other female trainee. They were all the same division too, that was quite useful.
Maybe she could ask for moon advice later!
"So it's Solia and Jason .. " She looked intent on matching the name to the face for a moment, opening the doors to the portal room. She didn't remark on the conversation, although clearly following it, reflecting briefly that it had almost been a full year of being a trainee.
Maybe she was a little slower than others but Saya didn't mind that particularly, a flaw she knew well.
