Today was the day. Kadryn flexed her hands in the gloves given to her by Kral. She was going to take out a Kiandri.. with Extreme Prejudice! Growling to herself, she picked up her mace and bag from the ferry's deck and stalked off into the desert. She didn't attempt to hide and sneak as she usually did. Kadryn walked straight forwards, keeping an eye out for any signs of dragons. This time, she would make the stupid beast see her as an opponent, not a toy! She would not, could not, tolerate another failure. She wasn't leaving Eowyn until she'd killed a Kiandri. Kadryn saw a big Kiandri at the small watering hole she'd been headed towards. A feral grin stretched across her face. She had been spoiling for a fight for the last few weeks, Kral had cut her off from sparring and hunting until he'd deemed her ready. Claimed that she'd need all her energy to train; which she had, but training didn't ease the stress and blood thirst that she had. Only fighting calmed her down these day, well that and playing with Fallon.
Kadryn popped her neck as she unfurled her wings; oh yes, this is what she needed, a fight to the death. A bloody painful fight. One with lots and lots of blood. Tossing her bag to the side Kadryn took to the air. She'd noticed that dragon's sometimes had trouble reaching behind them to attack, so a strike from above would be best to start this battle.
Pushing all thoughts aside, Kadryn gave into her blood thirsty rage and screamed her anger to the skies as she dropped like a rock down towards the unsuspecting Kiandri.
What followed was all that Kadryn had wanted, and needed. Bloody, long, and painful; the Kiandri gave as good as he got. It lasted long enough that both began to feel the pain of their wounds and the drag of exhaustion. This Kiandri didn't treat Kadryn as a toy; that would mean death. It treated her as an enemy, one that would require all his effort to kill. His lightning was not as effective Kadryn as the last battle; her thick padded leather gloves protected her from the super hot and charged mace as it attracted all the lightning to it. For the first time in a while, Kadryn began to laugh and a smile crossed her face during battle. Yes, this is what she needed to heal that burning anger the last Kiandri had woken within her. A real battle, not a useless attempt to fight while being toyed with. A thought crossed her mind as her mace struck the last blow and killed the Kiandri Dragon. "Perhaps I will cook dinner tonight." She smiled at the glowing golden dragon orb. "Thank you." While she normally didn't talk to items, she felt that for helping her overcome her anger, this Dragon at least deserved that much.
