The crowd roars with cheers as 'Bout This City by Reps hits the arena and out comes everyone's favourite Cartwright, 'The English Gentleman' Cartwright. He is wearing a WWFG t-shirt along with his usual attire that is covered with The Union Jack.
"Introducing first, representing Team WWFG, weighing in at 200 pounds.......CAAAAAAAAAAARTWRIIIIIIIIIIGHT!"
Cartwright cartwheels all the way to the ring, because he can. He slides under the bottom rope into the ring and poses in the centre of the ring for the fans enjoyment before starting a shuffle for his own amusement. He then takes the microphone from the announcer.
Cartwright: "X-CUUUUUUUUUUUP! It's a pleasure to be here representing Team WWFG! Unfortunately Team EEW weren't eligible to compete in the X-Cup this year, something about being closed for three or four years. DAMN YOU ECONOMIC SLUMP! Anyway, I just hope Team WWFG know how lucky they are to have me! I mean, I am one half of the WWFG World Tag Team Champions with Jacob Figgins as Team Insane. I'm a former King of the Canvas and multiple-time singles Champion there too. Basically I am WWFG! I am the best member of Team WWFG! I am the best man in the X-Cup! And to the other teams competing in this tournament, I just want you to know one thing.....I am open to bribes! Thank you!"

Right as Cartwright's ego-filled speech finished, the familiar riff to "Almost Easy" by Avenged Sevenfold rang out through the arena. Without wasting anytime, Matt Shanahan walked out on stage with his black Bad Religion shirt tucked into his black slacks, and his aviators that shielded his eyes from the flames that exploded from the stage as he entered the arena. With the fans roar of approval for the returning veteran, Shanahan made his way down the ramp with a smirk etched into his features.
"And the challenger, representing Team CWA! Weighing in at 326 pounds, and standing at 6'8"... The God of Punks, Matt Shanahan!"
With ease, Shanahan grabbed onto the top rope and pulled himself up onto the apron. He stared at Cartwright for a long moment through his tinted aviators, before stepping over the top rope and into the ring. Unlike his opponent, he remained silent as he pulled the sunglasses off of his face and tossed them out to the roaring fans. His eyes immediately locked onto his opponent afterwards, watching for any signs of movement while the music died away. ((Sorry for the lazy post, running on empty at the moment. ))

((No worries Punk! I understand, shattered as well! xd )) Cartwright has a little chuckle to himself which he doesn't try to hide as he hears that Shanahan is the 'God of Punks'. He thinks to himself:
Cartwright: "The God of Punks....that comes out to heavy metal music. That's like 50 Cent coming out to Funky Town. Though that would be awesome. Come on Shanahan! Think about the gimmick properly! Come out to something by The Sex Pistols, The Clash or The Ramones! You can do better than this!"
Yes Cartwright thought all that. The bell rings and Cartwright does a cartwheel to the centre of the ring, ready to lock-up with Matt.

((Sorry! >_< )) Shanahan kept his eyes on Cartwright for a long moment until Cartwright began his cartwheel. The thirst to win the match for his team kicked in immediately, driving him forward towards his cartwheeling opponent. As Cartwright came back up to his feet from the stunt, Matt would attempt to smash his foot into Cartwright's arrogant face fo r a big boot!

It looks like Cartwright's fine and entertaining display of showmanship was a bad idea as Shanahan was all too ready to kick his face in! The big boot smashes against Cartwright's face, dropping him to the mat with a spin thanks to the momentum of the cartwheel!

The God of Punks looked down at the fallen opponent with a smirk slowly crossing his lips. He stepped around Cartwright slowly, his mind etching out each step before he attempted to swing his foot forward for a tough kick to Cartwr ight's torso!

"OUF!" Cartwright yells as the kick to the torso flips him over on to his front. There's probably a lesson to be learnt from Cartwright's earlier boasting, but he'll forget whatever he's taught soon enough.

Shanahan's movements remained relaxed and calculated, as he was sure to keep a level head in this one. Cartwright was an unknown opponent to The God of Punks, which was sure to make cause for an explosive match. Matt stepped over to his fallen target and attempted to yank him up to his feet by grabbing onto his hair. If he managed to pull Cartwright to his feet uninterrupted, his right hand would come in for a harsh haymaker to the side of his arrogant opp onent's head!

As Cartwright is pulled-up on to his feet, he held his torso, still feeling the effects of the kick. But when he sees a right hand coming his way his instincts kick-in! He blocks the blow with his right hand and with his left hand he attempts a good old-fashioned short cut, an eye rake!

Ouch! That was all the fans could think as Cartwright's nails rammed into Shanahan's eyes! The God's sense of vision became quickly impaired, giving way for his animalistic instincts to kick in! With the force of a frenzied beast, Matt shot his arms forward in an attempt to push his opponent away; he couldn't be an effective competitor without his eyesight, after all.

Cartwright came rocketing in for the lariat, and his arm came in true! The man hit Shanahan hard with his arm, causing the giant to... Stagger a few feet back? Matt let go of his eyes to get a look at the man that just hit him, only managing to keep his right eye open as the left was still recovering. Boy, did Matt look pissed.
"... Try that again," The Punk hissed at his younger opponent, though it didn't seem like a threat; no, it was indeed a challenge! Shanahan lowered his arms and stood still, his good eye locked onto the man, "Come on, Carty. Don't leave me waiting!"

Cartwright seems shocked! That was one hell of a lariat! Matt is a tough cookie!
Cartwright: "You want it? Oh you're gonna get it!"
Cartwright happily obliges as he bounces off the ropes again for another lariat!
