Roll a Six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Genesis sighed as she entered the stadium. She'd run into Alexa earlier, and the two had agreed on a quick sparring match against one another. Both were interested in challenging the latest gym leader, and this would no doubt prove beneficial to both. She only regretted that she'd have to call out attacks for so long.
Putting on a more cheerful expression, she entered the stadium and waved over to Alexa.

Alexa had to run to the stadium to make the match on time. After running into Karin who agree to the match, she had run into some wild pokemon. Socks had appeared out of nowhere and been thoroughly beaten by them. Alexa had to rush to get Socks healed and then make the match.
She reached her trainer box and put her hands on her knees and bent over to catch her breath. She waved back to Karin after a moment and then looked up at the field. An electric field.

"Good luck," Genesis called out, as she customarily did. She knew Alexa wouldn't be the one to need it this time around, though. Alexa focused on fire types, and at least half of her own Pokémon were weak to it. Still, she'd do her best, and see how far she could go.
Hemera leaped out when her Poké Ball was thrown onto the field. She blinked cautiously, her fur trembling under the force of the electricity in the room. While she waited for her opponent to come, she closed her eyes and readied herself for the coming fight.

Alexa stood up straight and nodded. "Good luck to you too." She couldn't quite remember what pokemon Karin had but she knew her opponent had at least one Lucario which was weak to fire types.
She was slightly surprised to see Karin had another Lucario. However it didn't change her plan much. She grabbed a pokeball and tossed it out. "Go Apolla! Use Fire Blast!"
Apolla appeared in a flash of red and then looked at the Lucario. Her mouth opened wide and an intense flame came spewing out. She then jumped to the side to avoid some electricity from the field.

Hemera yelped and was quickly forced to focus on the battle. Circling the Ninetales warily, she let loose a barrage of sharpened stones.

Apolla attempted to dodge but was too slow and got hit with the sharp stones. She shook it off and quickly moved. She shot off more flames at Hemera.

Hemera did likewise. The field didn't give her many rocks to work with, but the earth below suited her purposes just fine, and she kept up her attack despite being hit with another scalding blow.

Apolla was hit with more rocks and stumbled back a little. She then hissed at Hemera as her fur was getting messed up. She fired more hot flames at her opponent and dodged some stray electricity.
Alexa watched the battle closely and decided to hold off just a little more on issuing another attack to use.

Hemera was beginning to tire, but she hadn't heard anything from her trainer and knew she was supposed to follow commands when Genesis was in disguise. Without comment or dispute, she continued to shoulder the blows and strike with her own attack.

Alexa had enough seeing how the plan wasn't working quite like she had wanted. "Apolla time to switch it up. Power Swap!"
Apolla got hit with more rocks and jumped back. Her tails flared out and her eyes began to glow. She felt herself grow stronger and figured that her opponent would now be a little weaker.

Hemera's fur began to prickle when she felt her strength sap away, but a voice from her trainer reassured her. Following the command, she used Copycat and felt her powers return.

Alexa mentally cursed when she heard the command Karin give. "Ugh..... Use Ominous Wind!"
Apolla glared at Hemera and whipped her tails about her. A ghostly wind blew around strengthening her defenses.
