The tribe had grown and so had his line. And with that that he went to find the spiral one who would match the swamp if not for her signature pink. Up and around the honeybee hives he went on the outlook for her while dusting his tail with cream yellow pollen. A devilish rogue outfitted in manners, he missed her and was up to no good. Devilish fun was to be had, whether it was at her or his expense it did not matter. And should they visit their brood, even the better. Scooping up some honeysuckles, he wandered aimlessly and patiently for her.

It wasn't that long ago she's last seen Vetiver, that doesn't stop her from missing him. Especially now, news that Faint, Mug's love interest - or at least Spiral hopes so, she'd hate his first romance to end in nothing more then a fling - has produced five grandchildren. A wonderful surprise, and news to be shared. And she's heard that one of their grandkids has had kids. Spiral is not sure how she feels about being a great-grandmother, she'd just gotten used to being a grandmother, but family is family and she has no doubt she'll adore them like the rest.
But today will, hopefully, include some romance for herself and Vetiver. So she'd left her pack behind and gone off to find him. From her mouth swings a basket, something Sorr found in her garden one day, and stuffed full of the bounty from her daughter's garden and a rabbit fresh caught that morning. Sorr had assured Spiral the fruits and leaves would taste wonderful with the rabbit, and even foxbun should she happen upon one on the way. Not much chance of that, her eyes staying up to look for signs of Vetiver, a whole family of the little creatures could scamper past and Spiral wouldn't be likely to notice them.((I'm counting MugFaint kids as babies right now. Also that due to tribe business, hunting and visiting the kids there are times Vetiver and Spiral go stretches without seeing each other.))

And lo and behold, this quest bore fruit. He knew he'd spot her before she would. Walking alongside, he saw she carried a basket. He was able to ascertain the contents of the basket before she even noticed he was next to her. He didn't even have to enter stealth mode. Fruits galore it seemed, and what's this? Rabbit, oh yes, please. A well stocked basket. Oh, what wicked things did she have in mind? He followed her for a short bit, watching the every nuance her body inflicted on the gentle sway of her tail all the way up to her especially riveting horns. Spiral was here, and they were going to catch up. And later talk about the tribe, Mugwort's new brood and all the important stuff. Finally, with his smooth horns he affectionately knocked into her backside to announce his presence. "Hello Snailshell."

Caught in her own world Spiral didn't notice him right away, but she did eventually. And since Vetiver didn't announce himself, she plays along, pretending she doesn't see him until he bumps her. With a smile Spiral playfully flips her tailfluff at his face. "Hello Vetiver." she replies, her words slightly slurred by the basket. Setting the basket in a clear patch she grins at him. "Care to join me for lunch?" she asks. Spiral looks around, frowning slightly. "Maybe somewhere off the path." she adds, a mischievous twinkle in her eye. It wouldn't do to have their time interrupted by anykin who walks past.
Picking the basket back up Spiral heads off, taking a path that looks seldom used.

He barely heard Spiral's mumbled invitation with the basket in her mouth but he didn't need to be asked twice when body language and the sharp sparkle in her eye hinted at more than just illusory culinary fun. Ever the gentlebuck he led the way past large ancient mangroves and a bushy little path. A little swagger in his jaunter, he arrived at a nice clearing. Foliage provided them privacy and shade while the small trickle of a stream would be good to freshen up before the feast. It was an ideal backdrop for catching up. He waited for Spiral to pick a spot before settling down himself, his honeysuckle bouquet firmly in his mouth.

Spiral sets the basket down, making sure the fronds open up as they fall. Only then does she settle herself next to Vetiver, leaning in to nuzzle his neck. "Quite a bit has happened recently, more clutches have joined our line, and more besides." She says, meaning not just Mugwort's clutch but a few others she'd heard about. As well as Sorr joining a second tribe, and her own thoughts of having a huge tribe get-together. She doesn't voice it all now, though, plenty of time for that later.

Was Spiral feeling long in the tooth? The air around them began to charge with the beginnings of discontent and too much emotion. It was supposed to be an easy time for them. He placed the honeysuckles down near her head. He lured a pair of monarch butterflies to them. Turning he suggested, "Why don't we summon them? Let's see how long the line stretches." He peeked into her basket, delight eagerly playing on his face. "For us? For me? Just a good thing I have these honeysuckles, too."
