Topic of the week for 12/30
Who do you think deserves a step up to the next level? Or, who do you think should have stayed put?

I'll go by series Cup- Out Danica/Travis Kvapil ...too early for her to be in Cup & Travis has not shown promise since 04...yet is given a chance consistently, In Regan Smith/ Sam Hornish...both were dealt a bad hand when they were in cup... but give them a decent ride and they will produce results.
NNS- Out Robert Richardson... he throws around his parents money every year just to thrill ride around the plate tracks...it needs to end. In James Buescher... he won the championship and proved he can drive... father in law needs to actually stabilize the revolving doors of TSM and get drivers in FULL time rides
Trucks- Out Jennifer Jo Cobb...of all the female drivers that have been running these last few years... she has produced the lowest results. On top of that she has yet to really show any improvement in car handling. In Darrel Wallace/ Chase Elliott.... look the age limit has been dropped to 16... so its time to get these 2 full time rides in the trucks so they can get their feet wet... these 2 along with Corey Lajoie are the future of the sport.

Yay! A reply! I was starting to wonder if you all got kidnapped by Santa. I'm going to leave this up for another week.
CUP - I'm on the fence with Danica, She did have a tough schedule, but she didn't do all that well in NNS. She was improving though.
NNS - I agree with you on Buescher, give that man a ride!
Trucks - Uh, I got nothing. My work schedule means I don't get the watch the trucks very often. sweatdrop

I don't pay that much attention to Trucks or NNS, but I will say that there should be some talented 16-17 year olds getting in there now in trucks.
In/Out
Cup: Out - I will agree on Danica being out and going at least one more full year in NNS before trying getting her feet wet in Cup again. In - Regan Smith showed that he should be given a chance to drive in a Cup car, and if not that a NNS car, when he drove for 2 races in the 88.
Borderline
Kurt Busch REALLY needs to get his act together. He is scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Out of the races he raced in 2012 how many of them did he ACTUALLY finish? Not only that, but he ended up racing for someone else during the middle of the season. This is a former champ that has fallen from his former glory. If he can't do well he might as well get used to driving for Kyle.

If he can't do well he might as well get used to driving for Kyle. Reagan Smith will be driving for Jr. Motorsports in the NNS this year full time...so hopefully he produces some good results this year... he won his 1st race with the team at Homestead. As for Kurt... I think he did the best of a bad situation...for the most part... he was in Finch's cars which at best are top 25 quality..yet he ran in the top 15 more than half the races... he over drove the cars due to the lack of proper equipment which is why he was plagued all year long with engine woes...I think with him at FRR this year... he will become a solid top 20 driver... He proved that by getting 4 top15's and 3 top 10's in his final 4 races with FRR last year. I predict 3 top 5's with 11 top 10's
