Santiel had become immersed into her studies and tutelage under Warlock, it was a sort of perverse interest, like an innocent mind staring at a dead creature, something compelled her to focus and try her hardest to please the dark stallion, perhaps it was always the thoughts residing deep down that her life hung by a cord, which at any minute Warlock could cut and also at the same time harm her family. But also something darker still, she genuinely was intrigued and interested in what Warlock had to offer and teach her. It came as some surprise that he announced he had other business to see to away from his territory and so it was that he freed her for a limited time only to return home to the Vitterfolk, after all there were still things she had to learn off Malis, valued knowledge which Warlock craved besides her natural abilities and breeding. The four of them, Belphog and of course Disnia, travelled together for a time, travelling through the thick damp jungle, twisted and distorted, a place she'd never really grown use to, she simply blocked it out, focused totally on her studies. They broke the jungle and with time she started to recognise the path she'd taken some weeks ago now. Warlock stopped and turning to her announced she could find her own way now, and when it was time to return to him, she'd feel it. It was sometime before she reached the boarders of the Vitterfolk. She was no longer a tiny foal, though not yet fully grown, her legs were a little stronger and her body more able, she'd not tired as much as the first time she'd made the journey, but her energy was depleted and she knew she needed to rest soon. She recognised particular plants and trees from the hours she'd spent studying them, not always by Malis' promoting, but by her own interest and love of such things. She raised a hoof though didn't step forward, she let it hang in mid air as a feeling of apprehension blanketed her. What if Malis and the other 'trolls' wouldn't allow her to return; had her mother told Malis what had happened and of the bargain she'd made. What would her mother feel, would she fear the taint Warlock had began to place upon her... Santiel placed her hoof down where it had started, not stepping forwards. Perversely a part of her wanted to be back in the jungle, to be forgotten and not to have to confront all those she loved, to explain... Her wings began to flutter furiously as her nerves took over and all the emotions she'd buried after leaving home to be able to cope, came flooding over her and she began to sob.

Ever since her sister had left Irlina had taken it upon herself to care for her mother and protect her from pretty much every one. She had delved into a guardianship training, not as interested in the teachings of the spirits but more in learning how to fight. She knew there was things brewing, she had seen the victims coming in more often. Rynn had already lost one daughter, and Irlina was going to make sure she would not loose another. Sen'jin noticed her ferver and had requested she spend some time training with Saryen and Kai'kaede though, Kai had a more informal training as she was destined to take over the sister-herd of WillowGlen. Lina had started forming a friendship with Saryen but then he vanished on her also. It was only a few days later that she woke up with a sudden start.
Her sister was back...
With a wrinkled brow she cantered across the glade to wake up her mother, sure she would also be able to feel the bond getting stronger once more. Or maybe for the first time in her life, the spirits had decided to talk to her. "Hey, Momma! Momma, wake up! Santiel is b-back, can you feel it?" She nudges Rynn softly, nickering as she noticed her mother stir. Amirynth almost couldn't believe what her daughter was saying. "What... what d-d-do you mean she has returned?" For a moment a wave of dread washed over her as she considered the possibility that Santiel had not impressed Warlock and that he was back to destroy them all. Even the thought of Santiel learning such things and being party to his influence filled her with despair and daily she tried to think of ways she could have done something to prevent her bring taken. She hoped that Malis had not noticed that one of her daughters had practically vanished but the troll matriarch had confronted her. With a stern expression she had listened to the details as they poured from Rynn's mouth and yet afterwards the large mare had just nodded. The small flutter had not understood what Malis had meant when she said "She be bringin' home a change fer ya. Somethin' t' help ya grow." and had a worry deep within that it meant Santiel would then try to spread Warlock's message of power through dominance.
Still, she had to hope that maybe they were free of this nightmare and that Santiel was returning because her time there was done. It seemed like an impossible dream, so short of time had passed but the flutter mare had to hope or loose herself once more. She turned to her remaining daughter. "Irlina? Where is she?"* * * * * * * * * * * Ysiel was working on her rounds along the border. After hearing about the merry tale from her lifemate of the harpies near the SilverBirch Falls she had decided to take his portion of the route in case she could catch a glimpse of those fabled creatures. She had an idea that it was one of them who had been leaving trinkets and such within one of the old Willowtree hollows along the river bank close to the shared border but so far had not seen them in the flesh. As she trotted through the heavily forested regions, Ysiel's sharp hearing caught the sound of crying. 'Who would be in this area of the glens?' she thought to herself as she turned to find out the answer.
It didn't take long for her to find the source. "Hello? Are you ok?" The small flutter mare, no... filly, looked familiar to the winged Guardian and she wrinkled her nose trying to remember a name. There had been so many soquili who had passed through recently with the outer glades being turned into a sort of hospice for the injured that it was hard to keep track. However, the very fact that she was good at names was why she was a great Guardian of the Vitterfolk. "Santiel? You are Amirynth's daughter yes?" She took a few steps forward. "Why are you so far out of the glades? it's dangerous out here."

Emotions flooded over her and she simply stood still whilst they took her, it was a form of release she'd not be able to access whilst trying to do her best to be strong within the jungle. Though when a voice broke though the soft sounds of her worried tears, she held her breath attempting to gain some form of composure. Her eyes were swollen, her cheeks damp and her wings hung loosely at her side. She looked about slowly to come into contact with a wall of blue, though slightly tinted with purple hues she knew who it was, as no troll was that shade. She focused on the eyes of Ysiel, she didn't know the mare well, though knew her job; Santiel often strayed from the central glade when she was at home, as the flora changed and there was always something new to study, so she knew many of the guardian's by sight if nothing else. She responded to the mares first two questions with a simple nod of her head, the second caused her to pause.
'Why are you so far out of the glades', the words echoed in her head, so the herd didn't know she'd been away, had they not been informed of the ordeal with Warlock, had her mother kept it quiet from Malis, surely not? Malis always seem to know everything, and even if her mother hadn't said anything surely the spirits would have. But then Malis had a wisdom far beyond her years, maybe she did know, but choose to keep it quiet for now. Questions unanswered swam in her head, and it wasn't until she felt the hard stare coming from Ysiel, whom still awaited an answer, that she focused on the here and now. Carefully, Santiel didn't like lying, but she didn't know if Ysiel and the wider herd knew of her immediate families going-ons, so she responded, 'I've been studying...sorry.' She didn't have her mother's shutter, but her voice came a little meekly and unsure. It wasn't a lie, just stretching the truth; she hoped Ysiel knew of her reputation with the guardians for wondering a little too far in search of wondrous plants.

The mare nodded, accepting the younger one's answer. "Come now, dry those tears. I'll take you to Amirynth's glade, unless you know the way from here?" Ysiel tilted her head to the side as she observed the small flutter. Her instinct told her that something was going on, however, she was sure it had nothing to do with Santiel. As she was one of their own, she did not worry that there would be an issue with the young filly re-gaining access to the centeral areas of the herd territories.
Still, she was curious and felt it was important to take Santiel's mind off of whatever was troubling her. "Actually, I have to head back that way so how about I walk with you for a while?" As she started down the path to the center glades she added, "What are you learning in your studies? I remember Malis' teachings, they were always quite intriguing. it's been a while since I have attended one of her classes." The wind mare's voice was soft and she hoped that the friendly conversation would help the young flutter feel better.* * * * * * * * * * * Lina shook her head, "I don't know where she is right now, it's just a feeling. The small flutter itched to take off down the path that lead to the outskirts of the center glades but was waiting for her mother to join her. It had been too long since she saw her sister last and there was so many questions she wanted answers to. The biggest one was Santiel's safety. Irlina was small but she had thought up grand plans of the many ways she could storm her way into Warlock's lair and steal her sister back from him. Most of them involved someone else helping out, maybe a strong troll or one of the larger males of the open areas down below the glades but either way her plans always ended with success. With a little persuasion, Lina was sure she could show Warlock the error of his ways and get him to leave the family alone.
Trotting towards the path entrance, the flutter wiggled her wings at her Mother. "C-come on! We might m-miss her if we wait t-too long!" She had a feeling her mother was holding back out of fear. As time went on Lina was seeing more and more of the darker side of her mother and it scared and worried her. Still, the young mare was sure that, given time, she would be able to draw Rynn out but currently did not know how to do so."G-g-go on ahead, I will be right b-b-behind you. I p-p-promise." Amirynth nodded slightly, gesturing towards the path way. She smiled warmly, not wanting her daughter to think there was something wrong though the creases upon her forehead said otherwise. Was it the fear of the unknown or the known that held her back? Rynn wasn't quite sure but there was definitely something growing within that gave her cause to worry. 'How much had her daughter changed under his influence? Would she still be the filly she had sang to while still within her basket? Would she even be recognizable? The questions plagued Amirynth, almost freezing her to the spot. However, a promise was a promise and she pushed herself forward, the thought of seeing her daughter once more enough to make her want to leave the sanctity of the glade for the time being. "Right b-b-behind you Irlina."

Santiel shuffled her hooves, and looked up, noting the nod of Ysiel's head, she had accepted her answer with little questioning. The guardian offered to take her back to the glade though also offered her more time to be alone by quizzing if she knew the way, little did Ysiel know it was not a lack of knowledge of geography which caused Santiel to pause in her route back to the glade. Santiel considered the proposal, whilst she didn't want to be alone with her thoughts and worries as to what the her family and Malis might be thinking or doing in regards to her ensnarement by Warlock, neither did she want to lie further to the guardian, but before she could politely decline the offer of a guide back to the glade Ysiel made the decision for her. 'How about I walk with you' seemed a rhetorical question as the winged mare started down the path, Santiel stared at her leading the way for a moment or so then started into motion, skipping three paces to meet up with Ysiel and trot alongside her, being half flutter and a foal, often times meant keeping a quick pace to keep up with an adult, though she was much use to that now as Warlock and his family never considered her smaller legs.
She looked down the path, wondering when her mother or sister would come into view, though of course Irlina would lead, her mother wouldn't leave the glade, being scared of the wider world, and from her own experiences now Santiel couldn't blame her. But of course they wouldn't know she was coming and it was some way to the central glade yet. Thus she would have to entertain Ysiel's conversation for a while yet. 'Well...' she began, picking her words carefully, 'Malis has left me in the tuition of a few others for a bit, considering she has many other duties of course, but I must admit I like to give myself work even when not set anything by my tutors, it keeps the mind active...' It wasn't a lie, but it was a very stretched truth, Santiel shuddered a little inside and her wings began to flutter a little. She walked a pace or two more, she felt the sensation of tickling wings upon her back and knew she was fluttering them like she always did when she was nervous, she wondered if Ysiel knew of her subconscious habit, or noticed. Flicking a glance up and sideways to catch Ysiel's eye, she wondered if the guardian was watching her or the path in front. To try and prevent the mare questioning her on the matter further, Santiel added, 'Malis use to tutor you?'
