A catlike tail protruded from underneath a bush, sweeping back and forth slowly in methodical thought and in calm patience. The foal the tail belonged to was completely unaware of the fact that her long tail was in complete view of the world. She still hadn't really gotten the hang of it. Just as normal foals take time to figure out how to use their legs, she was still thinking of the possible uses of her tail, and most of the time it was just in the way. But she caressed the ground with it now, enjoying the side to side motion against the grass beneath her.
Risti was playing hide and seek with her siblings, but her legs had taken the little filly farther away from her family than normal. She wasn't afraid of the fact that she was alone and without her family, she was merely excited that she was going to win the game of hide and seek. Usually it was hard to play hide and seek for all of them because their bright colors were always a dead giveaway for each other. But now she lay under the bush casually, examining her hooves and spearing leaves with her horn, her large ears flicking away from offending branches and twigs every now and then.
She giggled to herself silently. Her brother and sister would never find her here. Not so far away from mom and dad. Her brown eyes peered out of the bush, looking for signs of her siblings or parents. She saw nothing of course, and was quite comforted by this. She giggled again, this time louder, and was assured by the following silence that she was alone.

Peeking around shyly,Malaki was just a little ways from his mother. He wanted to explore but it was a little overwhelming. His little blue eyes scanned around as he heard some giggling.Where could it be coming from? Pinning his ears nervously,Malaki moved out from behind a small tree and noticed a patch of yellow in a bush.He tried shrugging off what he saw but it was there. He hadn't seen any other colors besides natural colors, other than his mothers markings and his sisters. They were blue, but that wasn't their whole body.
Malaki wondered what was in the bush but he was too nervous to go over and actually see what it could be.Moving a bit forward he moved around towards the figure in the bush.He didn't want to startle it until the giggle got louder and then it went silent. Was it another foal like him?Was it something to hurt him.Malaki turned around to see if his mother was still near by and she was, just grazing and enjoying the day light. He tripped when a rabbit ran straight passed him."Ooof!" Hitting the ground Malaki hoped that whatever was in the bush didn't hear him.

She felt a sharp pain in her tail suddenly, and thinking it was one of her siblings pouncing on her, she flew from the bush, taking leaves and twigs with her as she went. She whipped around to see a foal, only slightly larger than herself, but it wasn't her brother. She blushed heavily, the yellow fur on her cheeks fading to a deep pink very quickly. "Oh...hi," she said, batting her eyelashes shyly and cradling herself with her tail.
She glanced downward at it momentarily, just to make sure it was ok. Her heart pounded when she saw a chip and a crack in it, but then she remembered that this was a normal thing for her body. She waited patiently, and before her eyes the crack disappeared and she was returned to normal. She knew the crack would return again later, but she wasn't worried. Her eyes flicked back upwards towards the young colt before her. "What's your name?" she giggled lightly, shuffling closer to him slightly and taking in every drop of his dark but refreshing appearance. She hadn't ever met anyone outside of her family, and she was very excited to finally see someone new.

Malaki tried to hide himself with his bangs but that didn't quite do the job."....Hi..." He said in a whisper. They both watched the females tail grow back together. What was she?He didn't think they grew back together when they got hurt. His ears perked up when she giggled and asked for his name. "M...m...Malaki..." He said nervously and stood up quite quickly. His little tail was between his legs and his eyes were big.
Meeting someone outside of their family was a little weird. He didn't know there were others outside them. "W...who are you..?" He asked as his eyes drifted to around them.He wished he was like his mother, care free and can talk to anyone. Maybe it was just first day out jitters and he was just overly nervous.Malaki needed to learn one day that he would need to grow up with some confidence and meeting others could help him with this.

She watched him try to hide behind his bangs and giggled playfully. "Hi, Malaki...I'm...Ri," she said with thought about the name she would be giving. Mother said there was power in a name, to know a name is a private and personal affair and Risti did not know this other foal...so "Ri" was all he needed to know, for now. She smiled at him, relaxing her tail and letting it wiggle behind her. "No need to be afraid, Malaki. I don't bite," she said while drawing circles on the ground with a hoof bashfully.
"Where did you come from?" She asked, looking around for his family, and for her own. She knew her siblings had probably given up the search by now, but she was still not worried about being away from them. Most of her family was full of wanderers, it was in her blood to drift. She blinked her large, brown eyes at him and continued smiling, hoping that he would loosen up just a little.

Malaki started to become a little bit more easy when the filly started talking to him. "Ri...That's a pretty name." He tried not to seem so socially awkward. He looked up to her and kind of went in awe of her appearance. A horn, tail and a mane? That was so cool. "You...have a pretty horn.."He said with a little bit of a blush.Malaki looked around quickly in search of his mother."I..I was wondering aorund...my momma should..be near by.."He turned around looking for her more, where was she?"What were you doing in the bush?"

"Thank you, Malaki," she said, giggling and blushing a little, "It's nice to meet you too." She looked up at her horn and blushed more, tilting it down a little. "You have pretty eyes," she said and met his bright blue eyes with her own. They contrasted his dark pelt quite beautifully and she was intrigued by them.
She looked around, hoping that his mother would not find them. She didn't want to deal with an angry or frightened mother. Mothers didn't like strangers. She knew that. "I was playing hide and seek with my brother and sister...I don't know where they are. I'm a good hider so they probably gave up on looking for me," she said with a proud nod. "Are you a good hider?" she asked curiously.

"You...you're welcome." Malaki blushed as well.He was rather nervous around females, besides his mother and his sister. The rest of the females in the world intimidated him.He shook his head and blinked a couple times."I....i do?" Complimenting him, that's something he wasn't used to. Malaki started rubbing his hoof into the dirt. When she started speaking again he picked his head up to look at her.She liked hide and seek? His sister and him never really played much, then again he really didn't see her often."Maybe...I'm not too sure if I am.." He wasn't really sure at all. Thinking about playing made him excited because he never really had anyone to play with. It was always chasing butterflies when no one was looking.

"You don't know?" she asked, a little surprised. "Would you...like to play?" she asked and smiled. She assumed he had no siblings, and therefore he did not get to play much. Poor thing.
She wondered what it would be like to have no brother or sister. It would be lonely...but then maybe it would also be more fun. It would certainly be easier to explore. But she loved her siblings, and it would be a lonely and cold world without them. She waved her tail back and forth excitedly, ready to show off her great hiding skills to someone besides her siblings.
"You can hide first, I'll count," she suggested, knowing that if she hid first they might never see each other again. Every time she played she always wandered further and further until the game itself became pointless. That's why she considered herself to be a good hider, and that's why she was the master of the game.

Malaki looked at the filly and nodded his head."...Sure..."He wiggled his small tail.He did have a sister, but that was about it.He was wondering if he would ever get anymore siblings, hoping so much that he would.Malaki blinked a couple times as she told him to go hide."Okay!" He sped off to hide in a small bush.Hoping that she wouldn't find him,he tried to be as quiet as possible.Though his little tail kept wiggling which made the leaves on the bush move around quite a bit.He didn't know it was making such a huge noise.

"....18...19....20! Ready or not, here I come!" she hollered. Spinning around, she was at first a little surprised. Maybe he was a better hider than what she had thought. She glanced around, her breathing heavy after the spin and the yell she had let out. "Hmmm..." she murmured, looking around for good hiding places. That was always the way to find someone. If it looked like a good hiding spot, someone was bound to be there. Here eyes rested on a small bush, and she pranced up to it confidently and peeked under it, shouting, "BOO!"
But there was no one there. She frowned and pouted a little bit, then looked around again. She began to get frustrated when she couldn't find him, her flesh chipping again slightly as she moved. But finally she stopped and listened. She could hear heavy breathing off to the right, and she saw the leaves of the bush moving. She giggled quietly, why had she not seen it before? "Gotcha!" she blurted, peering under the bush and catching the blue of his eyes.

Malaki listened closely to see when she was finished counting. He got a little scared when she yelled out that she was coming for him.Trying to be as still as possible,he started getting a bit scared.Thoughts ran though his head. Was she going to find him right away?Would she ever be able to find him? What was he suppose to do if she never came to find him?Malaki got even more scared,he started shaking quitea bit which made the leaves of the bush rustle louder. When he heard her yell boo,he jumped just a little bit and closed his eyes quickly. Not hearing anything besides that he opened his eyes.Ah,she didn't find him yet. Then, as soon as he was ready to open his eyes and look around outside of the bush. There she was!~She had found him so quickly!"Ah!!!"Malaki screamed and jumped out of the bush. Her finding him startled him so much he probably could've peed himself."You found me!"

Risti couldn't help letting out her own little scream as she was surprised by his. No one had ever screamed upon being found, not when she had played. She fell on her rump as he ran from the bush, she had tried to move fast enough to get out of his way, but her young legs had tripped her up.
She winced, closing her eyes to the pain she felt. The cracks in her skin went crazy as she sat and tried not to cry. Finally she felt better, and she stood gingerly, rubbing her behind with her tail. "Ouch! Yup, found ya!" she said and let out an embarrassed giggle. "Maybe we should play another game. Do you know any others?" she asked with a smile to let him know she was ok. She was certainly glad her siblings were not there to laugh and make fun of her. All the same her ears swiveled around, making sure there were no audible signs of giggling from the bushes.

Hiya, I know you'd like this roleplay to be finished fairly soon. But I am working all week besides two days out of the week and its every week. I don't always have the strength to get onto the computer or reply to roleplays. I tried getting to them this past weekend but I just wasn't able to. I'll try to get to it as soon as possible. Sorry.. :/
