(In case it isn't clear, Crims is the past life of Captain Labyrinthite)
Crims had a tendency to do things he wasn't supposed to, he always claimed it was more fun to live life on the edge. He never paid heed to the warnings his elders would give him, nor the possible consequences that could arise from his actions. Instead he played things by ear and as always, did what he felt like doing. If he thought he could get away with it, which was more often than not.
So what was he doing that night? Many things he shouldn't be.
Crims shouldn't have been slipping out of his sleeping quarters. He shouldn't have been sneaking out of the building after curfew had been called. He should have been concerned about the chances of him being caught and more importantly the reprimand that would come should someone notice his absence. He should care, but he didn't.
Instead he was more concerned with the rumors he had heard for the past week and all morning long. A traveling circus was stopping in Saturn for one night. A traveling circus. A circus that traveled. It was something Crims had never heard of, having spent most of his time preparing for the day he awakened as a page. As the only remaining successor of the Crims' line it was inevitable that he would be the one to awaken.
It had happened sooner than he would have liked.
At the young age of 16 there was still so much of the universe that he had yet to see. A traveling circus was one of those things which was exactly why he had no trouble slipping away and finagling a way in(they never let him handle money). It was safe to say that through out the circus he had been on the edge of his seat, completely enthralled in the acrobatics and other tricks the various members had up their sleeves.
When it ended, Crims didn't hesitate to slip through the crowd and attempt to find his way backstage. Or back-tent as it were. He just had to speak with one of them, the way they had done all their acts flawlessly and fearless intrigued him. He also couldn't help but think about how the acrobatics could come in hand in a battle.
Of course he didn't think that his sneaking around behind the scenes would be perceived poorly. After all, Crims never thought about the consequences.

It had been another completed performance. However, for the group, it had been considered one of the bigger performance opportunities since it was one of the planets in the Sol system. It wasn't just an asteroid within the allied territory, or a star or moon. It was one of the key territories in the Moon Kingdom. In the area behind a particular flap in the tent, the round Mauvian who was known as ********* proudly boasted out "You girls did such a wonderful job! I wouldn't be surprised if we were invited to this world more often to perform!"Each girl of the performance team had already started to disperse, off to tend to whatever they needed to after a performance. A couple looked anxious to get out of costume. However, one of the taller girls with blonde hair stepped up to the cat and simply removed the hat which had been resting upon her head. "There you go, *********... I know how uncomfortable that is for you." Carefully she set the miniature hat on the ground in front of the feline. The blonde performer for a brief moment paused and looked directly in the direction of the invader before quickly returning her attention to the cat. "You know... I heard Eunomia was looking to talk to you... I think it had something to do with a costume change..." "Really?" Popping up to all four feet, she nodded to the blonde before snatching up her tiny hat by the rim and trotting off. The blonde, who was still in costume, turned once more and spoke up loud enough for the foreign boy to hear "I hope you weren't looking for a peep show... because this is as far as you are going to get..." Some of her friends were changing from their costumes, and the last thing they needed was some guy oggling them.

A normal sixteen-year-old boy would likely have been attempting to peep on the girls but Crims wouldn't say that he was a normal boy. It was evident that he was not when he paid little to no heed to the group of girls as they dispersed leaving only the blonde and her ringleader cat. Instead he turned his attention to the areas in which the animals were kept. Fascination shined in his amber eyes as the raven haired boy started to step forward towards the horse-size llama. It was a creature he had never had the pleasure of seeing, nor the furry long tailed elephant like beast.
What were those creatures?
Before he had a chance to truly advance forward someone spoke. He turned, lips pressed together in a frown. "Excuse me?" The question left his lips before he realized who he was speaking with, one of the performers. Due to her comment he made it a point to look nowhere but her face. "I did not come looking to peep," he replied rather defensive. "If I came to peep then I would not have been caught so easily," he told her expression fading to an impassive one.
There were many things that Crims was good at, being sneaky was one of them. He wasn't just called Crims because of the wonder in which he hailed from but for his ability to sneak about in ways many criminals wished they could. "Sorry to intrude," he began, offering her a half smile. "But the show was phenomenal and I couldn't help but try and take a closer look at the animals. Never seen these kind before."

The golden accents to her clothing almost jingled as she stepped towards the holding pens for the show-beasts. The white llama-like animal noticeably perked up as she approached, and had every reason to. This girl was his, and he was hers!
The girl stepped up to the Sand Muncher, who immediately loomed his face in close and rubbed his nose against her neck. She lifted a hand and easily ran it under his large chin as she spoke to this stranger.
"Well... you could just be really bad at peeping, kid!"
She honestly didn't look much older than him at all, but she still called him a kid.
"Personally, I wouldn't try petting the other one... more moody... I tend to call her 'Thud'... has a personality to match the nickname... but Aque here is pretty friendly." She stopped rubbing the animal under the chin, which caused him to blink his mismatched eyes before taking notice of the other person-person.
With that, he stretched his neck out so he could loom closer to this boy-boy, blue-and-green eyes blinking curiously as his nose seemed to flair up every so often to catch a scent.
The blonde leaned against the door of the pen, casually venturing to make a prediction. "I am just guessing that... you aren't very well traveled... are you? Have you ever been anywhere outside of Saturn, kid?"

He nearly snorted in response, shaking his head at her. "Hardly, I'm sure if I tried I would be quite good at it," he assured her, tone light and joking. He watched her move, boyish nature getting the better of him when he looked her over as discreetly as possible. Could he really be blamed? Those outfits revealed a lot. His eyes snapped back up to her face when he thought she was going to look at him.
"Well with a name like that, she's bound to have a bland personality," he teased looking at the other sand muncher. He turned back to the blonde and her white pet. "Where'd you come up with the name Aque?" He asked stepping forward and extending a hand out to the creature. He turned his hand over so his palm was exposed to Aque and he watched, fascinated with what the creature might do.
He seemed to zone out, other hand reaching out to scratch the llama like animal behind the ears. It took him more than a minute to realize she had asked him a question. He pondered it for a minute, turning to look at her. "No," he answered, a bit of sadness mixed in his tone. "Been here on Saturn since I was five," he admitted shrugging as though it was no big deal. If he played it off like it didn't matter then it wouldn't bother him. "Haven't been anywhere but Earth and Saturn," he continued turning his attention back to the sand muncher. It was easier to keep himself in check when he focused his attention elsewhere. "Probably won't leave Saturn until after I attain the rank of Squire."
They were very focused on training him while he was a page. It was a time of peace but the Knights always had to be prepared. He had been tutored in everything here on Saturn, he couldn't remember his last lesson on Earth. Or the last time he had interacted with his family. His biological family. He had to remind himself that the other Knights of Saturn were his family.

"Well... I don't use the name Parthenope uses for her... the name she has for her doesn't suit. So I call her Thud... and get Parthenope pissed off!" A cheeky grin spread across her face as she confessed such. Who cared if the other girl would be upset with her. They could just duke it out at another time if it was really pressing.
It was interesting that the boy would ask about the origins of the name for her animal. However, she was willing to humor his question. "It is tradition to use names that have an influence to a color. Not everyone does it at home, but most still use it. Aque's got a blue eye and a green eye, so I used the color 'Aqua' for the influence for his name."
Speaking of Aque, his overly long ears were twitching something fierce as this stranger-person was scratching him in a particularly sweet spot. He let out an oddly content murmur before briefly shaking his head from side to side. His head pulled back before letting out a strange whistle from the gap between his flat teeth.
The blonde laughed a bit. "Oh, I think someone likes what you were doing!" The Sand Muncher shoved his head back at the poor Page, whistling again to let him know to keep paying attention to him.
However, the blonde performer's interest seemed to grow a bit as he confessed something. "So you are one of those knights?" She had heard her parents mention them before when she was younger, and briefly while she was living in the Grand Hall after her power awakened. From what she had gathered, they weren't exactly anything her home-world needed.
For a moment, her eyes blinked owlishly large at him before she reeled herself in. "Well... there's a lot of places out there... you should definitely at least visit the Asteroid belt some time... lots of different places to explore out there!"

"You seem like you enjoy causing some trouble," he commented, amused by the girl. "It sounds like we're likely to get along," he told her. When she explained the origin of Aque's name he looked at the animal, soft smile on his lips. "That's an interesting tradition. Does it extend to the names of your people or mostly animals?" He didn't even know where she was from so the supposed traditions of her unknown planet were interesting to him. "Where you from anyway?"
While he waited for her answer he played with the sand muncher more, continuing to scratch him behind the ears with one and and using the other to tickle his chin. "Had a cat on Earth that loved it when I did this, since then I've had the habit on trying it on any pettable animal I come in contact with," he replied stepping even closer to the creature. He enjoyed the feeling of the llama-like beast's fur beneath his fingers. It was comforting, familiar.
She addressed him as being a knight, resulting in him returning his attention to her while continuing to pet Aque. "I am," he responded trying not to sound better. "I come from the line of Crims. As such I am Page Crims," he informally introduced himself. "Well, my name is actually Tarran but you should just call me Crims. It suits me better," he instructed, shrugging his shoulders. "It's not a big deal really, not that great either. I'm not really suited to be a knight. Got too much of a wandering spirit," he admitted.
If it were up to him he would be traveling from world to world learning as much as he could about the various cultures. The universe was enormous, there was much to be explored. "Rather not be stuck here when I could be out there," he gestured to the sky ignoring the fact they were beneath a tent. "Never got a chance to experience too much, but what can you do y'know? Everyone's got some sort of responsibility. Mine is tied to Saturn."

"Pretty sure it is for people too..." She rounded from the front of the pen to hopping the gate and making her way to the Muncher's tail, which was intricately decorated with rings and golden coins. She took it up in her hand, and it instantly seemed to curl up around her fingers.
"I'm from the asteroid of Iris," she commented before attempting to polish the jewelry on her pet's tail. Eventually she resorted to using the fluffiest part of his tail to try to take care of such a task.
The mention of his name, one title, and one birth, caused her to perk up. "Crims sounds like a name which could have been from my home..." she commented casually as she wandered along, holding onto Aque's tail as she moved. It moved along easily with her, since it was pretty long. He spoke of wandering, which really resonated with her.
She eventually was back at the gate for the pen, though on the inside this time. The blonde leaned forward before mentioning something.
"Learn how to balance responsibility and your desire to wander... that's what I've done. In fact, I don't think this show would have popped up if that wasn't the case!" She grinned a bit from her current location. "I mean, I don't really know much about this 'knight' thingy... but I am sure there is a way to do both if you have passion for both!"

There were times when Crims wondered how he had ended up on Saturn, from what he was told he wasn't really one suited for it. Personality wise anyhow. He didn't realize how good at detaching himself from his emotions he was. Most of his childhood had been spent doing that. "Not sure I've really heard of Iris," he admitted, amber eyes trailing her as she moved through the pen. "I could see that, shorten a name of a color and bam. You have my name." It was an interesting idea to him, to live in a place where most things were named after some sort of color.
"What is your name?"
His hands left Aque and he moved to the pen, wrapping fingers around the bars. He leaned forward to get a better look at the blonde. "I mean, I told you my name. You should tell me yours." It was common courtesy to introduce oneself after being introduced to.
He let her talk, considering her words carefully as he awaited her name and tried to decide how best to respond. "There are many duties to a Knight of Saturn. Not many that would permit straying far from Saturn," he admitted but opted to say no more. There were things he committed to that he couldn't share, wouldn't dare share. Especially not to a girl he just met!
"So the circus was your idea," he commented thoughtfully. He tested the bars with his weight deciding if it was worth the risk to hop over and join her on the other side of the pen. He gave it only a brief thought before he figured why not. He hopped the pen easy and moved towards the girl. He didn't leave much space between them, just enough so she wouldn't be too uncomfortable.

There was a boy in Aque's pen. She quirked her brow as he joined her, getting pretty close to her just moments after meeting. The inquiry about her name caused a smile to curl upon her lips.
"I'm actually a rule breaker... but for good reason..." She stepped back slightly, releasing Aque's tail so she could close her eyes and concentrate. She didn't explain what she was doing, but focused her energy upon something.
Eventually, after a few silent moments on her own part, a symbol began to shine upon her forehead in a pale rainbow light. It was the shape of a rainbow with a star underneath the arch. It seemed to take a lot of effort on her part, but she continued to concentrate for a while longer after the symbol had shown up. She couldn't open her eyes or speak. It was when she dared to open her eyes again after her brief demonstration, it all vanished.
"...My name is Iris... I am the Senshi of my world. When I was born, that symbol... the one that shows who is the world's senshi... was upon my forehead for three days. My parents decided to not confuse me and just named me for the name I would be called when tending to all my duties."
Slightly fatigued from her efforts just to show off that symbol, she had to lean against Aque's long neck. Instantly the animal instinctively seemed to curl about her, face pressing against her body to help steady her.
"Heh... the show was more the solution that the ringleader came up with to my problem... well, to all my friends' problems."
Yes, that ringleader was a cat.

Crims didn't seem to care about the thing called personal space, nor with the idea of boundaries and he did most things without second thought. Joining Iris in her pet's pen was one of those things, getting practically up close and personal with her was another. He liked to test the boundaries more than abide by them. He reveled in seeing how far he could push his limits before something began to crumble.
"There is always a good reason for rule breaking," he cracked, smirk returning to his lips. Hands folded behind his head as he looked at her, listening eagerly. "Senshi eh? Pretty fancy stuff then, more more exciting than being a boring old knight!" He exclaimed practically grinning ear to ear at this point. He'd never met a senshi before, if you didn't count Princess Saturn. She was an elusive one, hardly ever seen outside of the rare occasions where her presence was required. He had never minded, mostly because her elusiveness was what made her interesting to him.
"So you've known what you were since you were born," he shook his head, rocking back on his heels as he looked up. "Sounds rough, were you called to train for your duties at an early age like me?" He assumed as much, it wouldn't make sense otherwise. He had heard stories of other senshi and how whenever they were revealed, which always varied, they had been isolated and prepared for the day they would have to defend their planet. Or the other planets. Or the moon queen. Just like the Knights.
He was intrigued by the symbol she revealed to him and mildly concerned when she sagged against Aque. Instinctively he reached out, offering his hands to steady her better. "It was the cat's idea?" How perplexing.

His disbelief at her proclamation received a rather blunt response.
"...Every performer you saw tonight is a senshi..."
Even though she knew how important a senshi was to each world and how it was a limit of one per world, it seemed odd to her to be ignorant of the senshi. As the boy attempted to steady her, she somewhat pushed his hand away. Aque was plenty strong, more than able to hold her up in place.
"...each from a different asteroid..."
When she was able to steady herself upon her own two feet, she pressed a hand against the side of the Muncher's face, signaling she could stand. The animal lifted his head and turned to a trough to eat some dark colored dirt.
It was then she continued her explanations. "Yes, I was called to train for my duties at five... though, duties vary from each world. The training in my earlier years was pretty basic, but my real training truly started... right after my powers truly manifested. However... it hasn't been too bad!" She smiled in a genuine cheery manner, seeming to have no resentment for the title bestowed upon her since birth.
The mention of how the ringleader was a cat got a chuckle from the blonde. "Well, she has a talent for seeing talent in others. Not surprising that a Mauvian could organize such a thing though in all honesty."

"Really," he replied, disbelief evident. He cocked a brow at the thought, how interesting to have so many in a group. "Are these asteroids far from Saturn?" It perplexed him to think that all the senshi he saw would be able to come and go from planet to planet so freely. Were they not tied to their planet?
Some days he wished he could be so lucky.
"It isn't very common for pages to deal with senshi, except their respect princesses really," he commented almost as if it was an afterthought. "At least I don't think it's common here," he shrugged, mildly uncertain. "Knights of Saturn are a particularly tight-knit group. More so than most. Not sure we do too much interacting with others, not at my level anyway. Usually holed up doing some sort of studying."
He tried not to be bother when she pushed his hands away. With her rejection they found comfort in the pockets of his dark pants. He hadn't thought much of his appearance when he snuck out. He had little variety to chose from, either his sleep clothes or the simple black training pants and dark purple tunic. He had opted to wear the latter.
Again he rocked back on his heels, stepping back. "Seems like you've lived an interesting life so far. A fortunate one even, you get to travel and hey! You've met me!" He joked unable to help himself. "Mauvian's always had a knack for seeing what others cannot."

The universe was a large place, and Crims' question was only a logical one. "...If I remember correctly... we're lodged between Mars and Jupiter... so a bit away from Saturn."
The sound of Aque eating was hard to miss. He was literally eating sand and grinding it down with his flat teeth. It was noisy, but at the same time, Iris knew that he was actually quite quiet compared to the Crunchers from her world. The boy spoke about his whole view of the knights, and though she was interested in the subject, she also wasn't invested in keeping the information in mind for the long term. It wouldn't do her world any good. The Iridians liked to look out for themselves.
The boy's cocky comment made her laugh, though she had to make a rebuttal. She was not a trick rider like Victoria, but Aque was her pride and joy. Rather easily, she managed to grab onto his wooly body and swing herself up onto his back. Once there, she rather easily flipped herself into standing upon the creature's back upon her hands.
"I think you have it all wrong, Crims... I think it is the other way around. You are the fortunate one to have met me!"

"How many stops have you had between Iris and Saturn?" Crims inquired unable to stop the steady flow of questions that spilled from his mouth. He had always been the curious sort and now there was someone to answer his questions! Besides, he enjoyed chatting with Iris. It was different, more relaxing than interacting with his fellow knights. He never felt like he could be himself.
Crims often felt like he was hiding behind a mask someone else made for him.
He didn't feel that way now.
He was grinning from ear to ear cheekily while he awaited her response. Hey! He couldn't help himself, he was a confident boy and it made her laugh. He watched in wonder as she grabbed on to Aque and performed a trick for him. He clapped lightly trying not to laugh. "Showing off now are we?" He seemed to tease folding his arms across his chest.
"No, no," he shook his head, wagging a finger at her, "I believe I was correct. You were most fortunate to meet me. Not many get the pleasure!"
