One day while laying on his bed, alone in his dorm room where his roommate did not live, Gavin had remembered something. He remembered that last year he'd been given a gift from from Cedric. Rolling over he rummaged through the drawer until he found the key that Cedric had given him. He had totally forgotten about the date he was supposed to have with Cedric between all the drama and then the whole.... having feelings for his best friend thing....and then said friend moving away. Yeah he hadn't had the time or the mindset for it anyway. Now though... Gavin was wondering if he shouldn't look into dating around a little more seriously, maybe. After all humans were for flings and metas were for actual relationships. Plus what better way to finish moving on from Sergei then to go out with a different guy and see how that went.
After working that all over in his mind, Gavin searched for Cedric's number and given him a call. Much to his delight Cedric agreed and they had set up one weekend to go ice skating. Gavin had never been before but hell he'd never been on a serious date before either, might as well try two new thing at once right?
So there Gavin stood in front of the local ice skating rink keeping a look out for the arrival of his date. He'd taken even more care with his appearance then normal, making sure his hair was perfectly styled and picking out an outfit that would keep him warm enough in the cold air both inside and outside. He shoved his hands in his pockets to keep them warm and scanned both the sky and the road for Cedric's arrival, finding himself nervous for the first time ever before a date.

Cedric was actually shocked at the call at first, thinking that the meta had forgotten about the gift entirely. Still, he was certain to see his gift through, and even though he had aged to adulthood, Gavin didn't seem to mind, and it was set that they would go ice skating. Cedric himself had gone a few times, mostly with family, but he did enjoy it and was looking rather forward to going.
He had thought about flying there, but the rink was in human territory, and with the recent murders he really didn't want to frighten anyone by swooping by with his dark wings and black backed eyes, so he went with walking. Gave him time to think. His coat was long and black, but allowed him to maneuver well to still be able to skate.
He wasn't hard to spot either. He was taller then the average human at a whopping 6'7", and his bright white hair and silver eyes popped above the crowd with ease. He quickly saw Gavin and worked his way over to the pixie with a pleasant smile.
"Hello there Gavin," he greeted warmly. "You are looking nice today," he added. It was a date, so compliments on appearance were needed, not to say that Gavin didn't look nice. Cedric wasn't one to give false compliments, and the pixie was rather dashing.

Somehow Gavin hadn't remembered Cedric being that much taller then him, but as it stood he was a little more then a foot taller then Gavin. It was his lot in life as a pixie, though it still surprised him. It didn't really bother him though. He grinned back and Cedric and gave him a once over that was appreciative but not too heated, he wasn't out to seduce him just yet, before looking up at him to settle on his face. He'd forgotten how striking Cedric's eyes were. Though maybe he'd been kind of distracted the last time he'd seen him and just hadn't focused on them. Gavin was paying attention now though, and his smile widened a bit.
"Hey Cedric, and thanks. You're looking pretty nice yourself. So... ready to head in?" Gavin turned towards the door to pull it open and hold it for Cedric.

Cedric smiled and nodded. "Ready as I'm ever going to be," he said. He was nervous, but not for the typical date reasons. He could feel the humans staring at them, and he really wasn't sure how long things would keep calm. He just had to hope for the best that the humans they were going to be interacting with were kind enough not to throw things at them or some nonsense like that.
Cedric moved into the building but didn't wander much farther inside until Gavin had also entered. The place was busy, but not so much that it made the skating crowded. "I think the line over there is where we get are skates from," he said pointing to a line of people off to the side. "I can go get ours while you see if there are any lockers available. What size shoe are you?" he asked
