Ixion had decided to be by himself for a moment. To scope out the terrain alone. Shiva wasn't bad company nor did she slow him down. As a seasoned warrior, Ixion enjoyed going somewhere by himself to check things out. The quiet of only having his own thoughts. The concentration it gave him. He could puzzle things out himself like he never could before. When one was never sure of where the enemy was sitting ready for an ambush. That didn't seem to be the case here.
Back where he came from, Ixion had been a powerhouse type of fighter. He was not used anywhere but near the back, his entrance always arranged during the midst of battle so any sneaking that needed to be done could be done. He had always been a loud stallion. Large in muscle tone and height, Ixion carried heavy hooves on the ends of his legs that made heavy thumps on the ground when he walked. If he wanted, he could walk silently. Most of the time, he didn't want to. Ixion always prided himself in being able to ruin his entrance and still put up a good fight. But he never was shy on stressing the importance of learning stealth. Just because being loud worked for him, didn't mean it would for everyone. He was just an unique case.
Shiva was back far enough he could faintly hear her if she called for him. He could smell her on the wind, choosing to go in a direction that the breeze would always send word of her presence to him. In a new world, he didn't want to lose the only other warrior he knew. They needed each other for protection. As well as companionship. They had fought battles together and shared the same master. They were comrades for life.
Lowering his head, Ixion sniffed at the ground. Tiny tracks ran towards a tree. He could see the tearing of the bark from little claws climbing up it. There were other tracks, as well. Some with hooves. Some with paws. He had watched the small animals pick at the berries on bushes to figure out which were edible and which weren't. This world didn't seem hostile. Boring, but not hostile.
It made the stallion sigh. He missed the thrill of the battle already. Were there no one else who knew the same thrills as him other than Shiva? Someone besides these little squirrels quarreling over acorns? With a knowledge of other battles not familiar to him so they could share stories?

Far away from the familiar bamboo forests, her hidden valley home and the monastery where she had trained for many years and fought to protect from so many who wanted to see it gone an take over the valley. she was the finest warrior there the head monk told her no longer did he have anything to teach her it was time for her to learn on her own those outside the monastery all had different fighting styles, and so she was here far from her familiar home.
Every place she had gone was so peaceful, often beautiful she'd seen so many lovely places, from her perch she could see the land below, this place looked promising perhaps she'd find another to learn from here in this place. Xifeng was quite pleased with this place she could feel it had potential could there be those from every corner of the world here? she wondered as she made her way down cliff edge skillfully for such a tiny size.
She made her way into the forest, in a delicate manner. What was it her teacher always said?

Maybe, if he and Shiva traveled far enough, they would come across a herd in the midst of a battle. Or a battle-crazed one. Something to keep his interest going all the time. If she didn't want to find another, the only thing for it would be to leave to find one himself. He couldn't take this life of nothing. There was nothing for him to do. Not even a sparring partner. At least grant him a worthy sparring partner. Or a colt to train. That would be suitable to keep his interest, as well. Mares these days kept their children too close to their bodies for him to find one to train. Did they not know letting their young squire for a seasoned warrior was a good way for them to gain experience in the world? To see the world?
As Ixion stood there, the sound of another nearby caught his attention. Judging by the sound of the footfalls, it wasn't a rodent or a bird. Too large. Not large like him-as if anyone could hope to hold that title or even near it-but large enough to be another Star. Instinctively, his guard went up and his eyes narrowed. One ear stayed trained on the coming creature while the other ear surveyed the area around him in case the sound was a distraction. One never could know where all ones enemies were. An old enemy could have fallen with Shiva and him and been stalking them this entire time for an opportunity. It wasn't like either of them were very commonplace.
Even when the mare came into his line of vision, the silver stallion remained on his guard. She seemed innocent enough, but one could never be sure. So did Shiva. Pretty and delicate, but quite deadly in battle when she wanted to. This one could be the same.
"Halt," he commanded in his booming voice, the ground seeming to shake under his deep voice. "Who comes before the High Warrior Ixion?"

What was that? She could hear the thunder of heavy hooves. Xifeng's eyes widened as she set her gaze upon the larger more powerful stallion before her. He called her to halt and so she did. A high warrior he said he was? Did he come from this world she wondered. "I am the warrioress Xifeng Li, Great warrior Ixion." she answered with a low respectful bow. "I have come to this place to learn of it's warriors." but most of this place had none at least none of the same level she could feel his strength "You are the first warrior I have seen in this world, I come from far away to learn many fighting styles."
She wondered if this place had more like him, wouldn't that be amazing she'd finally found the warrior clan she'd been searching for. Though she was bent over in a bow she was still prepared to fight back if need be, the mare was always light on her feet it's how her master had trained her honing the skill. She was not the strongest fighter but she trained hard to compensate for that. Xifeng was quick and deadly.
Her world was wrought with strife. "I am of neither faction from my world." She had now idea if he had come from a corner of her world but it couldn't hurt just to be safe.Hoshi Lockhart I give you a tag! Finally!

His purple eyes, devoid of white or black, narrowed slightly at the bow. Though he counted this as a good sign respect for warriors still held sway in others hearts, a hardened warrior didn't let his guard down too easily for anything. Especially one like Ixion. His trust didn't come easily. And usually not without a price.
He raised his head to show his confidence and fearless nature, looking down his muzzle at her as he looked her over. She didn't look like a noble, nor had the air of one. Her quickness to show respect to him told him she was either submissive, behaving in the style of any Star she met demanded her to be. Or as she said, some rare being who respected the ways of fighting enough to recognize a superior when she seen one. Being the kind of loud stallion Ixion was, others tended towards one of the two when face to face with him. Usually the second. A found out lie was surely to leave the culprit in a bloody mess on the ground from those giant hooves of his. In the beginning this was common, until his enemies learned he wasn't as stupid as everyone thought he was. For who in their right mind would stomp around making as much noise as he did if they weren't short most of their brain cells?
"And what is your own fighting style? Do you dislike it and wish to try out more to find one to suit you? Do you wish to add their techniques to your own?"

His eyes narrowed she could feel the pressure the great stallion gave off. His presence was far superior to so many she had approached before him. He was a true warrior. And surely must have experienced many battles. "I was trained in the mountain monastery by Pandarian monks." she told him honestly. There was no point to hide it, she was proud of her training and she would stand by her skill. She was taught to show respect to all warriors, more respect to those who are more experienced. She didn't expect him to trust her warriors never fully did they were taught too well.
Xifeng took a step back "I wish to add their techniques to my own." she answered respectfully. "I would be honored if you would desire it so to give you a demonstration of my skills." The mare bowed low again.
At least he didn't attack her out right. He listened to her request. She was no noble creature just a humble monk. But just because she was simply that did not mean she could not fight. Though she often did choose neutrality over a side. Such faction wars were pointless and never ending.

Panarian monks? Monk was a familiar word to him. One of those words that carried over all civilizations, like a greeting or a farewell. He knew of many monks. Ixion wasn't really the scholar type, but he remembered what he happened to hear or was told nonetheless. He had known of fighting monks as well as peaceful ones who took vows of silence. All types of monks had a spirituality about them, though. Still, he wasn't sure what the difference between them and priests was when a priest seemed to do the same thing. There were far too many words that meant the same thing.
"I have heard of monks, but not those you speak of," the great stallion began, no trace of emotion yet on his face. "I have no doubt they have trained you. But I do not give demonstrations until I know the one seeking them truly deserves it." Or could handle it, was also on Ixion's mind. His way of fighting depended on strength more so than anything else. Since the element of surprise had always been something he could never hope to achieve, he had focused on intimidation. Being loud in hopes of scaring his opponent still gave him the element of surprise if they were still shaken by the time he appeared.
A small mare, though, he wasn't as confident about. 'Specially one trained by monks. Monks, no matter what they did, never gave him a sense of power. He expected them to turn the fight into a kind of dance. With some nonsense about how each move gave respect to whatever God or Gods they worshiped. Ixion believed in his own strength. That was all he needed.
"Do you deserve it?"*Ice_Dragon_Demon You know he won't make this easy.

"The monks of my order hail from another land far away, no one in this land has heard of them." She humbly explained to the greater warrior once he had finished speaking. She had traveled to a place far far away from her home and no one knew of her.
Xifeng certainly understood one always had to prove their worth before being presented with anything. "I cannot say if I deserve it or not, that is up to you to decide." She paused "I wish to learn all I can. However, if I do not meet your expectations I must retrain myself rising to them." she assured. If she did fail it would be but another lesson something she would humbly use to get better. The monks may have graceful and impressive looking moves but there was power there behind her hooves.
"How may I prove myself deserving in your eyes great one." She bowed humbly to the warrior before her.
