Artemis appears to be masculine at first glance until one takes in the whole picture of her and sees that she is feminine. Due to this, she has been considered something similar to a tomboy. She does not like to wear dresses or anything girly and prefers to wear pants, tunics, and boots. But if invited to some fancy, special occasion, type party, she will show her girly side and wear one of the few dresses that hind in her closet.

History:
Artemis was born in Antya, a small city in Rhydymnana and located on the water. Her father was a fishermen and sold his catch at the wharf on a daily basis. Her mother was a farmer and sold her goods at the local market. Antya was well known for their fishers and farmers. Artemis stayed home with her mother, except for the days she went to market, Artemis went with her. Leon, went to school and then to the wharf to help father with the fish. As Artemis got older, she would play in the woods not far from their quiet home. One day she went to play, and was pretending to be a hunter. The ten year old Artemis had crafted a bow and arrow out of fallen tree branches. She spotted a creature of the forest. Without training and all instinct, Artemis drew back her bow, aimed her arrow and released. The arrow traveled far and fast. The young girl chased after her sole arrow to it's target. She had thought she missed the woodland creature but she was wrong. Artemis wept for the creature and removed the arrow. She dragged her kill home to her parents, who were shocked that she was able to haul back something so heavy, let along kill something . The Creature became dinner and from then on Artemis learned to hunt and archery with her brother.
Time passed and that ten year old girl grew up fast. She was fifteen when she first met the one she loved out in the woods while on a hunt. She approached him and got to know him well. their relationship grew and one day, a few years later, he was about to propose to her,when an arrow from her brothers quiver went awry and pierced the heart of her love. He claimed it was an accident but she knew that Leon was jealous of her and her boyfriend. She believed that it was on purpose and ran away from home. She backed a back and left on the first ship that was heading to Sunderland. She now lives in a small cottage by the river and near the forest. Her only friends are the animals the live near by. she doesn't hunt as much but keeps her quiver and bow at hand for protection.
