Doctor Who, The Next Regeneration
"Ah, it's London again!"
Doctor Who takes place in London, England. Though it sometimes skips around to other places, such as France or Asia. but it is mostly centered around London, and the Doctor himself has an English accent. When told that The Doctor is an alien, some people question this because of his accent. He simply replies with,
"Other planets have a North too, you know."
Although, The Doctor does travel back and forth through time to different planets and timelines.
"The Doctor, just The Doctor."
It is him, a man who travels everywhere he can. A man who loves danger and mystery. A man who smiles and laughs when his life is in danger. A man who needs someone to stop him from killing a whole species when angered. A man who desperately tries to save the Human Race, and any others worth saving. A man who sometimes goes by 'John Smith'. A man who enjoys saying "Alons-y!". A man that gets away with anything because of his charm. A man who runs from his enemies, because he is being kind to them by doing so. A man that can be merciless, or merciful.
A man simply named, "The Doctor"
"Fancy a Trip?"
The man called "The Doctor" often takes along a companion, a girl, a human girl, because he is lonely and in need of someone to stop him at times. Sometimes, he falls in love with his companion, sometimes she is just a friend. But either way, she falls in love with him.
"TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimensions In Space."
The Doctor has a machine, called the TARDIS, which travels in both time and space. The Doctor visits several timelines as well as many planets. the TARDIS is not just a machine, but a living organism, which camouflages as something relevant to the time and place it lands in. Such as in 2012 Earth, it may disguise itself as a small storage shed. At least, it would if the TARDIS wasn't stuck as a "Police Public Call Box.".
"The curse of the Time Lords."
The Doctor lives forever, whenever he is close to dying, he has something called a 'regeneration', which means he gains a new face, body, everything. He must watch his loved ones die, the few that he loves die around him, while he must go on.
The last of his kind, The Doctor mourns his race. To be among your own kind is a privilege, treasure it.
"The Time War. The greatest and most horrific experience of the Time Lords and Daleks."
The Time War was a war between the Time Lords, and the Daleks. The Doctor is the only one known to have escaped and lived. The Time Lords and Daleks were destroyed, burnt. Galifrey, the Time Lords home planet, was destroyed as well. There may be one or two Time Lords left, but if there are, they are hidden away. Perhaps in a Chameleon Machine Pocketwatch. The Time Lords are able to hide away their Time Lord essence into a Pocketwatch, therefore hiding themselves and appearing completely Human. There is still one more Dalek, because The Doctor did not want to wipe out the very last of his enemy. Even though the Daleks are born to hate anything that is not like them. This Dalek is out there somewhere, alone.
"Aliens?! Real, live aliens?!"

Yes, even Doctor Who has rules. Though, these are not the Time Lord rules.
⓵ PM me your profiles, Do Not just post them in the Characters Forum. Once they are approved, Then You May post them in the Characters Forum.
⓶ Follow normal Gaian rules, such as no cybering.
⓷ Please do not have your characters cuss, it is disrespectful and non-Whovian.

"Ahh coordinates must be mixed up . . . oh hello there!"
 The Doctor banged a few things, pulled a few levers, and pushed a few buttons. Finally, the TARDIS made up it's mind to appear in a London alleyway. The Doctor popped his head out and smiled his charming smile. "Ahh back to London." he said to himself. He stepped out of the TARDIS and out of the Alleyway. He inhaled the London air and smiled to himself again. He began walking the streets, looking around. Anyone who wasn't telepathic would think he was just taking in the sights. Really, he was looking for someone. A brilliant girl, age of 19, long black hair, reddish eyes, who had helped him some time ago. The Doctor was in need of a companion, for he had traveled alone for far too long. He sighed at the memory of his most recent companion. She had been beautiful, and brilliant beyond measure. He had fallen in love, and lost her. That was two years ago. He had spent two years travelling alone, which he didn't like. He was relieved when he had found that brilliant girl, pretty too. Someone worthy of being his companion. Someone worthy of seeing the stars up close. Someone worthy of travelling time and space with him. Someone who was being hard to find. The Doctor continued looking though, hoping to find that girl. Vivian Louise Harper.
"Ah yes, did I mention? I'm The Doctor. Just The Doctor."

 There the man stood in front of her with his hand outstretched, beckoning her to go with him, at the door of that blue box."Come with me, Vivian Louise Harper. See the Universe. See all of time." he said again tempting her even more....
Vivian's eyes open as she woke up from her dream, The same dream she has been having ever since her encounter with the man. Always the same thing every time. except something was more real this time. His features were more defined, his voice was more clearer then normal. She could even hear noises of mechanics from the blue bow behind him. When he asked her to come with him, she could actually imagine herself actually leaving with him! But she hasn't seen him since the time she saved him from the gigantic scorpion. So like that would ever happen.
Viv let out a yawn as she stood up in her bed and stretched with her arms raising above her head. Getting out of her bed she walked to the bathroom for the usual answer to nature's calling and then jumped in the shower for a quick washing. After 5 minutes she was out blow drying her hair and putting on a bit of mascara. She then walked out of the bathroom and put her job uniform, apron and shoes on. With no time to waist she grabbed her keys on the kitchen counter and walked out the door and locked it before she started walking down the stairs.
Vivian stepped off the bus and walked a block to the diner. As she walked in the front door she got the usual hello from the men who always came here for a cup of coffee in the morning. She went behind the bar and tightened her apron and made sure her name tag was on. Taking out her note pad she then taking orders from her tables. It was only the beginning of another long day at work.

The Doctor continued walking around, and just when he was about to go back to the TARDIS, he spotted her. She looked like . . . a waitress?! That brilliant girl, who's name sounded like royalty, was working as a waitress?! With all the things that The Doctor understood, this was not one of them. He was slightly angered, for waiting tables is not the genius thing to do. He knew he had to get her off Earth, or at least this time period Earth, for her talents were being wasted as a waitress. He pondered for a moment if he should go in there and drag her out kicking and screaming to his TARDIS. But that wasn't the way The Doctor worked. At least, unless it was absolutely necessary. He decided to stand outside of the window. He looked inside, looking around at the place. At least it wasn't too bad. His eyes met Vivian's and he smiled his charming smile, waving excitedly. His mouth moved, but he could not be heard inside the Cafe.
"Ah yes, did I mention? I'm The Doctor. Just The Doctor."

Vivian continued to take peoples' orders and refill coffee mugs. She didn't know why she got this job. She was going to me a graphic designer, a part of some famous company, but when it came time for high school graduation, everyone left to college while she was still getting the courage to move out of her parents house. She still hasn't, too. Why? She doesn't even know. But with having to pay for her car and gas and helping with the house payments, and since she still lived under their roof she would have to settle with minimum wage, all she could get with out a college certificate.
Thinking about it Viv has always had a fear of even leaving this town. It was her safe haven. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing dangerous. Even though she IS only 19 and thinking of crazy things like traveling the universe with some strange man...
She took another order from a family in one of the corner booths and took it back to the chef. The Diner was already starting to get busy and her and this older woman Adrian were the only ones waiting today. As she turned away from the kitchen she glanced through the window near the front entrance through the glass she saw...Him! The one man that called himself a Doctor. Just The Doctor. The one she's been having dreams about for days. Only when she thought that she would never see him again, now there he was out in front of the Diner she works at.
Vivian didn't know what to do. All she could do was hold his glance as she looked like a deer in the headlights. As he waved to her she did try to wave back but her hand without the coffee mug in it just looked like a dead appendage flailing with no purpose. It looked like he was speaking but she could not hear him from inside. As his mouth formed words she looked to the customers. There wasn't any new people and they were all served their food. She looked to the other waitress and she also looked like she could handle things on her own for a bit. So putting the mug back on the coffee maker she then headed to the door to see what this man wanted.
Vivian walked out of the Diner and to the Doctor. For some reason she was nervous that he had showed up. She wiped her sweaty hands on her white apron. She looked into his golden brown eyes. "Sorry was there something you said? I could see you speaking, but I couldn't hear it from in there..." she asked letting out a breath. "It's quite a surprise seeing you here," she also added. ((OCC: Sorry it was a very busy Christmas day, but there you go. I hope my post makes up for the delay cat_sweatdrop ))

The Doctor watched as Vivian Louise Harper walked out of The Diner. "Oh, just something about brilliance and it not being appreciated in modern London. So, nothing new." he said, talking quick as always. "So, Vivian Louise Harper, who's name sounds like royalty, why are you working as a waitress?" The Doctor was working with his Sonic Screwdriver behind his back, the whirring quiet so as not to disturb the conversation. Truth was, he wasn't here just for Vivian. Something new had come to the Earth. With not-so-good intentions with planet Earth.
"Ah yes, did I mention? I'm The Doctor. Just The Doctor."

Vivian wasn't quite sure what he meant by what he first said, but she mentally waved it off as he asked her a question about her working as a waitress. Why would he be so concerned about that? she thought to herself as her eyebrows squished together as she thought how to answer him. She looked at him, and got the kind of sense that he was a bit distracted, too. Kind of like how she got when she had to multitask by bring food, taking orders and giving drink refills at the same time. "It's the only job I can get here without a college degree," she said a little quiet from hesitance to say it.
Viv never really minded working here, but when someone would question it, it was a bit embarrassing. She did believed that she had way more potential, but it's all about motivation and courage now. Which she didn't have at all.

The Doctor scoffed softly. "Eh, college. Why bother when you're brilliant like me?" he asked, smiling his ever-charming smile while he bragged as he always does. The whirring that was so very quiet became a bit louder and The Doctor's smile grew. "I've found something. Would you like to help? It'll be dangerous~" he offered, waving his Sonic Screwdriver in front of him, the whirring quieter now, the blue light shining. "Really dangerous~"
"Ah yes, did I mention? I'm The Doctor. Just The Doctor."

Vivian was partially lost for words, she had to work, she couldn't just leave on some epic adventure. She would lose her job for sure if she did that! But at the same time she thought it was crazy that she actually wanted to go with him. Despite the danger. His confidence and the way that he believe in her for some reason made her feel like they could conquer the world. Though she barely even knows this man. Not at all actually...
"Erm.. I can't... You see, I'm working right now. If I was to leave I would get fired for sure, and I need all the money I can get," she said with a little melancholy in her tone. "Sorry," she added raising her right hand and combing back her hair behind her ear. She looked at him, and for some other crazy reason he wished he would find a excuse to persuade her to go.

Vivian was indecisive. Every time she would wake up fro that same dream, she believe if he was to ask her to go with him that second in real life she wouldn't think twice about going. But right now just going on this dangerous adventure, she couldn't even think about just ditching work. She didn't know what the consequences would be, because she's never done it before.
When he added the last part about her going with him, to who knows where her heart skipped a beat. His voice and confidence made her just feel as sure and powerful as he must be. She looked back into the glass into the Diner then back at him. She looked into his golden, brown, tempting eyes. "Just give me one moment okay?" she asked looking at the object in his hand then turning back to the diner running inside.
Vivian walked up to the lady Adrian before she walked to another of her tables. "Erm Adrian?..." she spoke getting her attention and at the same time taking a moment to think up of an excuse. She thought it was better then just leaving without saying nothing, that for sure would get her fired. "It's my Mother, she's extremely sick and I'm the only one taking care of her. She just called me saying that I need to take her to the hospital. Something is definitely wrong," she said in a pleading tone, she also gave a little fake choke on tears. "I really need to go, I am so sorry, for leaving you, I hope you understand." Then lady looked at her with understanding and sympathy in her eyes. She nodded and told her to go. Viv nodded back at her thanking her many many times and turned and ran out of the Diner. As she left she also thought that she could even major in performing arts. She sure was good at acting.
Viv exited the Diner and walked the man. "So where to mate?" she asked joking. She was getting a bit giddy with excitement. She was also running on a bit of adrenaline. It was rare that she broke rules and lied. (OCC: I totally understand c smile )

 Fever GustavTick Tock Goes The Clock...
Fever glanced around, up and down the street. "London? oh how typical...oh! a dinner...how...what would a britt say...how quaint" The woman smiled to herself and entered the dinner, hearing the chime above the door. Fever loved having days off. Spending every single day raiding and killing things got boring rather quickly. "can i get a coffee?" She asked a waitress talking to a strange man..he seemed content playing with his--"ohh sonic technology...very nice..why dont i have anything..sonic..i never get the fun toys" Fever whispered to herself before settling down on a stool at the counter, and watching the man intently.
She had traveled through all of time and space--met a man YEARS ago who happened to be from the future. Bargained with him for some sort of time travel technology and eventually he gave her almost everything he had. Fever's been roaming around ever since.

The Doctor watched and waited as Vivian went inside the Diner and faked something. "I see you're also brilliant in acting." he said when she came back. When a girl came and asked for a coffee to Vivian, The Doctor took Vivian's hand. "Sorry, she's off work." he said. "Well, this," he began, then held up the Sonic Screwdriver, "will lead us to the Bacnisou, as it's called." He pointed his Sonic device around, waiting for the slightly louder whirring sound that it made when it found something or was working on something. He found the direction again, then began walking in the direction the Sonic Screwdriver deemed the right one, still holding Vivian's hand. He was walking rather quick, not running because that might draw a bit too much attention. He wondered if the girl who had mentioned Sonic technology earlier would follow them. "Now then, we have to hurry, because this something we're looking for could kill a whole species in half an hour. Takes them a while to charge up their weapons." The Doctor said. They finally came to a door, which had a weird kind of smell coming out of it. It smelled like . . . gasoline mixed with some other kind of chemical. "Now, if you're not ready for this, you may want to back down now. There's no turning back once we enter." he said, his eyes locked on hers, his Sonic Screwdriver safely back in a pocket. The pocket he always puts it in. (( OOC: Aaaaand now my writers block is gone~! ^3^))

Once Vivian returned to the man it all happened so quick. Some woman which knew more about the sonic screwdriver then she expected any stranger to know. She was clueless herself. Once he took her hand and they both started to leave the Diner it felt like she had crossed a threshold. She didn't know what she walking into, it didn't even feel the same walking the streets of the place she's lived in all her life.
Vivian quickly trailed behind Him as they walked quickly to somewhere he said something he found was and that something was going to happen and something else. It was all a lot unknown right now, but she was still sure of her decision leaving with him.
As they slowed down and stopped in front of a door The doctor opened it and Vivian was engulfed in a strange and unpleasant smell of fuel mixed with some other substance. Viv looked into his eyes with a feeling of slight fear, This was it. If she would continue to go with him she would be very clueless and would be pretty much useless. She's not skilled in destroying aliens, she only knew how to fend off that gigantic scorpion because of some game she played when she was little. If she was to turn back, she would never know what it would be like to just be free, to do anything, to travel the universe with him. She would never forgive herself for putting down such a one in a million opportunity.
After a few seconds of silence and holding his gaze, Vivian nodded giving him consent that she did want to keep going. "Just tell me what I need to do," she said.
