It had been a few days since the whole incident with the horsemen and the hunters, and she had been returned to Amityville unharmed, but even with that time gap, it wasn't enough for the doll to easily calm herself. She had offered her support to the hunters, in a way that she could maybe help against the horsemen, and possibly making many enemies along the way.
And then there was the issue of her boilfriend.. she wasn't sure how they would cope with a long distance relationship, but she was willing to try, as was he. But still, she was lonely..
Having wandered the halls of the school, she found herself out on the school steps, sitting in a thoughtful silence, contemplating her actions as of late. She didn't regret anything she had done, even if others didn't agree with her, though it didn't stop her from being a little concerned on other's attitudes towards her.
I just love to make trouble for myself..

For Sammy the issues where a whole other set. Her best friend seemed to loath her, the one person she had always looked up to and almost called family hated her. Other then Siddie she had almost nothing now.
All the while it caused her to question her actions, against the hunters, the Horsemen, all of it was hard to call now. So she wandered a bit, she had her jacket off slung over her shoulder as she wandered the grounds of the school. She pondered seeing her other friends, maybe kill some time even.
Instead she found Mei on the steps, she paused cocking her head, wasn't that Bul's ghoul? Speaking of, where was Bul even? Moving down the steps, her boots making heavy thuds with their metal tips she dropped down to sit beside her.
"Erm... hey. You're... Mei right? Bul's ghoul?"

Thanks to Sammy's boots, Mei knew someone was there before Sammy even spoke. Turning, she looked up to find Sammy, one of the undead ghouls she had seen around the school many times. Blinking, she managed a smile and nodded. "Yes, hello Sammy." Luckily, even if she hadn't spoken with many of the students, she at least knew them enough to know their names when they approached. Or so she hoped, it would have been bad to have gotten their names mixed up.
"Can I help you?" Her smile still present, she remained where she sat, waiting for the other ghoul to answer.

It wasn't hard to figure out who Sammy was, combat boots, dog tags rattling around her neck. One for almost every major 'event' she had been through. The purple eyes and blackened burned bone arm helped her stand out too, so it was no surprise when Mei responded to her with her own name.
"Well I guess, maybe?" She shrugged a bit, "I haven't seen Bul around in a while and I saw you, and I figured you knew, but you look rather down." She paused for a moment frowning, "Is he treating you wrong? Because I know Bul, he's not a bad guy but if he's being a jerk I'll go give him a kick to the junk to get his act together..."
She frowned a bit more, she was rambling. Honestly it was embarrassing but being worried about how Mei was being treated by Bul was a welcome distraction to everything else she felt at that moment.

Turning to face her fully, Mei perked up a little when hearing that she might be of some use to the ghoul. Though, at the mention of Bul, her shoulders sagged some, but managed to keep a small smile. Blinking, she had to give Sammy a curious glance as she started on, asking if Bul was treating her right. Unsure of whether to be upset or laugh over this, she settled for waving her hands and shaking her head.
"Er--no! Uh.. that is.. Bul left to do a ToT exchange program. He's no longer at this school." Wow.. saying it out loud, really kind of made the doll realize how much it sucked to be separated from her boilfriend. "Um.. if you.. if you need to speak with him, we're looking to speak with each other online, through video chat, so I can relay anything for you, or even give you his information to contact him, if you'd like?"

"Oh well.... I didn't know, we weren't great friends but I knew the guy and he seemed well enough I um... I'm sorry he left that has to be... well really sucky." Slumping down into a seat beside Mei she waved a hand in the air. "Naw it's cool, if he wants to keep up with me I know he had my number. We uhh knew Nox to say the least and kept in touch over it."
She leaned back resting on her hands as she watched the doll while they chatted, "You still seem pretty down and out, like... worse then Shehk when Nuk broke up and left. What's up?"

Mei nodded, shrugging slightly as she spoke. "It's.. going to be difficult, sure. But we plan on keeping in contact every day, and to be honest.. I'm glad he's away from all the crap that has been going on around here." Nodding again at her response, she stretched her limbs out in front of her, before setting her chin to rest upon her palm. "I've.. just had a lot going on lately. Not that I'm upset with my choices, its just.. I'm nervous of the outcome."
She paused, casting the undead a curious glance. "You don't appear to be in high spirits either.. Want to talk?"

Sammy offered a weary smile and a light pat on the shoulder to Mei, "You'll manage, it could be a lot worse ya know? At least you still like each other." Mei stretched out and relaxed and Sammy joined her in the same stance nodding.
"I made... I made my choices a long time ago, and it's all finally catching up."
Purple eyes flickered, dimming in the empty sockets as the flames seemed to die down as Sammy's mood became more gloomy. "I think my best friend might hate me, and I know Red pretty much despises me right now. I'm questioning everything I've ever fought or stood for and... it really sucks. It really, Jacking sucks...."

Mei nodded and smiled up at the ghoul. It was true, as she said, they cared for each other still. Maybe that would be enough to keep the relationship intact. She hoped so at least.. Maybe someday, they would have the home that Bul and her had talked about. Right now, all she could do was wish him well in his quest to become a ToTer.
Watching the undead ghoul in silence, she waited for her to continue on, and explain what it was she was talking about. Once she had finished, the doll bowed her head slightly, unsure of what to say.
"I'm sorry.. I wish I could offer some sort of advise on the subject, but.. I'm afraid I'm no better for it." She offered a weak smile, squeezing Sammy's shoulder lightly. She knew some of her friends were angry with her for choosing to defend hunters, but she had yet to encounter them since that battle. That was going to be eventful, she was sure. But, she was not displeased with her choices. If they could just see, what she knew about the horsemen, then maybe..

Purple flames flickered sideways her head tilting slightly as Mei's hand found her shoulder in a light squeeze. Said shoulders shifted slightly in a helpless shrug. "Well then, looks like we have a fair bit in common."
For a while the silence lingered and eventually Sammy looked at Mei again studying her properly for the first time. She was a ghoul yes, but was she like Sammy? Like Shehk, or Siddie, Riley, Jericho, Maladore, Barth and everyone else? Had she been through the same problems as them? It caused her to frown all the more wondering what the ghoul would say on such topics.

Offering a smile, she nodded once, trying to think of something more to say on the matter, but was coming up with blanks. She honestly did not know Sammy on a personal level, so she had no idea what all she had troubling her, aside from the few that she mentioned. Those alone would be enough, but it seemed like there was more behind it..
"If.. you don't mind me asking, what is it that you're questioning?" She didn't want to pry, but Mei had a curious mind, and was ashamed to admit, that she often butted in where she was not wanted or needed. But if Sammy was willing to share with her..

For another moment Sammy grew silent, pondering how far to go with her questions before she looked at Mei again, purple flames flickering and cracking in her eyesockets.
"The hunters...." She stated, "You've seen them right? You're about the same grade as I am, you had to have seen them once right?"

Mei had to stifle a laugh when Sammy asked if she had seen the hunters. Apparently, she didn't know too much about what all she had been doing as of late. It was kind of a relief, actually.. though when she was to find out, she had no idea of telling how the ghoul would react.
"..yes, I've seen them. What is it about them that has you questioning your actions?"

"I used to hate them, I still hate them. They killed off almost all the horsemen and while I don't like their leader, some of them aren't entirely that bad. I've seen them attack my friends, turn one to a weapon, plant... things inside them. I swore to kill one of my oldest friends, she made me swear it, if what was done to her made her hurt one of our kind."
She was staring at the sky now bone fingers clenching tight shaking as a faint flicker of purple flames grew in the fist of bone before dying out just as quickly.
"And then Red made me realize.... I might not be any better then them. A wild beast who's first instinct is to kill what it doesn't know...." She blinked slowly, when her eyes opened the flames where clearly directed at Mei.
"Are we as bad as they say we are?"

She still had mixed feelings on what had happened to the horsemen and their clans, but.. after all she had learned of them. As for the friend she had spoken of, she was sure she mean Israfel. She was there when he was turned after all, dragged along to watch that horror show. As much as she supported the hunters, that was something she would never agree with.. weaponization. "I'm sorry, about Israfel.. We tried to talk him out of it.." As for Red.. she wasn't sure what to say on that. That was an issue that would have to be solved between them. She was at least pleased she wasn't the only few that had found the hunters to be somewhat civil. Though, she was curious on how many would see them as possible allies..
Remaining a thoughtful silence, she cast a gaze towards Sammy when she voiced her question. Were they as bad as the hunters? Hmm.. "In some ways, I would say yes. Students will say that it was the hunters that have struck first, and therefor they deserve to pay with their lives, but this battle between our races has been raging on longer than we know. Who's to say it wasn't us that struck the first blow..? Either way, both sides are out for blood, and this vicious cycle will only get bloodier from here on, but.. we're so tangled up in hating each other, that we aren't even looking at the bigger picture."
