Nevada praised herself for having an excellent voice, something she had been born with. Though it was no songbird serenade, she could carry a tune. And with snow falling right outside their dorms, it was hard not to fall into the winter and Christmas fever. Everywhere she went, hunters were making small decorations for the holiday season, not matter their religion.
Nevada had covered herself in every piece of tinsel and poinsettia flower she could find and had been handing out packets of hot chocolate out.
Quite odd for the most notorious sleeper of the hunter island.
You know who she wanted to see though, Cute little Jake. She wondered if he would snap at her for her gift or not? Did he like christmas cheer? Would he play in the snow if she asked? Hmm she wondered.
Just because she liked seeing his angry face.

Nevada wouldn't get to see grump!Jake, at least not for a while, since due to the time he spent outside and just being on the island in general, he had accumulated a nice amount of JOY that seemed to make him as docile as a kitten.
At the moment, he was only wandering the halls, immersed in a book he had found in the Deus archives, and almost hadn't noticed Nevada until he pretty much walked into her.
"Oof! Sorry, I-... what are you wearing?"

"Jake!" Nevada turned to look at the hunter and gave him a wide smile. "It's Christmas, so I am wearing all the Christmas things." Aka all the tinsel and poinsettia's around her. She turned for him and held out her hands.
"Merry Christmas Jake, Do you want to wear some tinsel with me?" She was most defenitly waiting for Jake to like push her away and tell her to F off or something.

He only gave her a strange look, eyeing the tinsel and poinsetta.
Well... she certainly looked... festive.
Bending down, he picked up the book he dropped, dusting it off before tucking it underneath his arm.
"Um... I'm pretty sure tinsel's for decorating with, not wearing."
All Nevada would get was a quite-confused death trainee wondering about the state of the poor, naked Christmas trees.

Nevada stood for a moment, studying the hunter. He wasn't like snapping her head off...Curious.
So very curious. Her hand slipped out to pull on his one sleeve before cocking her head.
"And Why shouldn't we decorate ourselves?" She waited a beat before going full blown grin, "Can I decorate you Jake, for Christmas?"
Yes Jake, Let Nevada dress you in all the tinsel, poinsettia's, Lights and ornaments she could find? :'DDDDDDDDDDD
"Or if not that, Would you like to take a walk outside? I heard it was snowing and haven't gotten to play in it yet!"

Jake only stared at Nevada for a long, long time.
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
He was about to think of a way to turn her offer down nicely when her second suggestion made him brighten up. That sounded MUCH better.
"Uh, let's go outside! It'd be a shame if it melted before you got to play in it."
Ignoring the weapon, Jake placed both hands on Nevada's shoulders and began steering her outside before she decided to change her mind.

Oh
my
god
What was wrong with jake. Was he okay? Nevada just blankly stared at him longer and then made a muffled squeak as she was pushed outside. "Oh, But what's your hurry? Wouldn't you rather just-" And then snow.
Contrary to popular belief, regardless of Nevada being named after a state that gets a healthy amount of snow and then Alaska being her twin sister, again another snow with healthy amount of snow...she stared awestruck at the white cover on the ground.
"I haven't seen this in forever, since I was a kid." She bent down and lifted it in her hands. Thanks to her weapon though, there was no stinging cold to her hands, more like holding an ice cube in her hand. She threw it up and laughed.
"Want to build a snowman Jake? Oh what about snowball fights? OR FORTS??!?" Again, unusually while the girl was very lazy, right now, she was hyped up. Wanted to do all the snow things.
So much so that she dropped into and started making a snow angel.
"its a shame we don't have sleds, I use to race with my twin down the hills as kid. It would be fun here yeah?"

Chester being more prepared this time, Jake barely felt the cold as he shoved his hands in his pocket, watching Nevada with a smile.
"Sled?"
The trainee arched an eyebrow, eyeing her curiously.
He had made a snowman (or at least tried) and had snowball and fort wars with Ofelia earlier, but sledding sounded new... and fun.
"What do you need to make a sled?"

"Well we'd need something with a smooth surface, flat so you can sit on it..." She hummed in her snow angel pile before pushing herself up, oblivious to the snow that coated her back before looking at Jake.
Sledding did seem fun and making one would probably be a good way to spend time together right?
Well...
"You know, I've heard that the moons keep a lot of building stuff in sheds on the training fields, you know...planks of wood and metal sheets and stuff...Do you think we could try to make one from that?"
It'd be quite simple if they just found something smooth and durable, even a trash can lid could make a temporary sled. "Should we go and see then?~" She hummed again as she headed off to some of the sheds, pulling open some and closing when she couldn't find excatly what she needed.
And then she did open the shed to find a small blown up emergency raft. It was smooth right? It could fit two people right? It was perfect....RIGHT? Who needed a emergency raft anyways?
She pulled it out and showed it to the hunter.
"Screw making it, let's go down some hills with this!"

Something smooth... and flat?
He had almost forgotten about the book tucked under his arm, until he pulled his hand out of his pocket, the book dropping to the floor.
Bending down to pick it up, he stared at it curiously.
But then Nevada mentioned something about stuff being kept in sheds in the training fields, and blinked at her.
There were... sheds? How come he never noticed this?
He had never... built a sled before, let alone seen what one looks like, so he only shrugged at her question.
"Maybe. Who knows."
Her question only earned a nod and smile, and he trailed after her as she headed towards the sheds.
When she pulled out the emergency raft, however, he only stared.
"Uh, aren't emergency rafts for... you know... emergency?"
He wasn't sure when they'd ever really need one, considering they had portals, so leaving the island by sea was kinda... but... still...
What if a superior found out?

"Jake my young friend. Don't you want to live a little? It's kind of a emergency, we are in need of a sledding like object, we happen to find one, I feel that this justifies the emergency part of this whole situation." She nodded and then took the raft all the way out, pulling the lever to finish blowing it up.
And as nicely as she could, she grabbed Jakes arm and totally dragged him to the highest hill on the dues island.
Which was pretty damn high above.
Shielding her eyes from the glare of light from the snow, she laid the raft flat and looked at Jake.

Something told him that this raft wasn't for that kind of emergency.
"I-"
He didn't get to finish as he ended up being dragged by Nevada up... a really high hill.
... Just when did it SNOW so much??
When she told him to go first, he opened his mouth, about to protest, but then he caught that look.
DARN IT NEVADA, stop looking at him with those eyes.
"I... uh... okfine."
He plopped down in the raft, giving the mist trainee a confused look.
"What now?"
