Things were going rather well, or so he liked to think. Illyeria had gone off on her own way, and he hadn't seen her in a few days. He had briefly worried for her. That was, until he realized how peaceful it was without her hogging up the den. Father said that she had claimed her own den. Knox was beginning to wonder why he hadn't thought of it first.
He was lazing about, as usual, on a rock that was warm from the day's sun. It was growing late, and he wasn't sure the sun would be around for much longer. But the rock still was warm, and he was hard pressed to try and move. He would have purred.. if he could have.
"Mmm.. This is the life. It's peaceful.. it's quiet.. and I haven't seen a soul all day." He wasn't really anti-social. He just had spent so much time around all his siblings, that he knew how to appreciate his quiet time.

Kujaku wasn't use to being on his own. Since he had met Dhiren, the lion had made it very hard to have any alone time. Though, he grew on Kujaku and he began to realize that perhaps he wasn't so bad. Plus, it did mean that he got to spend time with Auri'jua and Aradia. Today, he had been able to sneak off on his own to get a good feel for the pride. He wasn't exactly familiar with everything yet. It was time that he found some things out himself.
It didn't take long before he spotted the other lion close by. One thing he decided was perhaps it was good to try to get to know more pride members. "Hello," he called out as he got closer. Even though he was good friends with Dhiren, he hoped this male was mellow, and a little less hyper. He could use to normal conversation for once.

He supposed it was bound to happen eventually. He heard the voice, and it took all he had not to be visibly irritated that someone had wandered into his paradise. He lifted his head from the rock, turning blue eyes towards the oncomer. He was very bright, and Knox found himself staring for a minute. It wasn't every day he met someone quite as bright.. it almost hurt his eyes.. Almost. "Mm.. Hello." He said as he yawned, standing and stretching out his body. Then he sat, curling his tail around his paws. This guy smelled like one of his pride-mates, but he had never seen him around before. "Are you new?" He asked, though he wasn't sure if he really cared. But he supposed it was good for conversation.

"That obvious?" he said wrinkling his nose. He didn't like being the knew lion on the pride, everyone always asked him weird questions. It was rather annoying at times, but he had grown to get use to it. Maybe soon someone new would come and they'd turn their direction to to the newer new lions. Though, he wasn't sure how often new members came about, he didn't exactly pay that much attention.
He didn't look crazily hyper, and that put some relief into Kujaku's mind. "Just figured I'd try to get to know some fellow members." Kujaku had a feeling the lion didn't feel like being interrupted, but he was talking none the less. Perhaps he was just being cautious.
"I'm Kujaku." He said with a nod. "Just getting a feel for the pride, and stuff." He wasn't exactly good at conversation, but he tried.

"Only because I've never seen you before." He responded easily. "Not because you've done something silly, or anything." He hoped that he hadn't embarrassed him. Knox hated it when others did it to him, so he had a momentary feeling of remorse. "That so? Well.. Be glad you ran into me, and not my sister. She's one of the most irritating lions in the entire world." He said, and chuckled a little. Knox was mellow, but only because he was lazy. He just didn't like doing much, and in turn, he didn't always have the most energy. "Knox. Pleasure to meet you." He bowed his head in greeting. "How long you been here?" He asked, cocking his head curiously.

He supposed that was a good reason for thinking someone was new. He didn't know how big this pride was, but he had seen quite a few lions and some hybrids floating about. He was sure he hadn't seen ALL of the pride members. He gave a smirk at the others. "Well, guess that's a better way to know someone's new."
"I'm sure she can't be too bad, but I can understand. I have a few sisters myself." Though, he hadn't seen them in a while. When he had, they were part of another pride, and treated well. He was once told he'd never see them again when he turned to adole. Of course, it was for a different reason that how it turned out, but he could say that it was true never the less.
"Not long, a few full moons." He didn't think that was long. Long enough to know the way of the pride, but not long enough to get to know the members that lived in this place. He knew where all the important places were, and what he needed to do for the pride, but he always felt he was missing something when out with Dhiren and the girls.
That was what he planned to find, or at least a scents of direction to what might be missing.

"Oh. Just trust me. She's bad." He said, nodding a bit. He was sure she was just as bad as he was describing. Hell, he had spoken with others who had begged him to take her attention. So they could be free of her. It wasn't that she was bad.. But she was rather bossy, and obnoxious. "My other sister's, aren't near as bad." He had plenty of sisters. They were quite a handful themselves, but they, for the most part, left him be. "Well. Welcome to the Pridelands, then." He said, nodding again. He was so bad in the social department, that he was trying to be friendly.. but he felt like he was coming off a bit odd. "I'm sure, in time, you will meet my sister yourself." He grinned. The thought caused him to smile. Perhaps she might even like this fellow, and leave him alone till the end of his days. Though the odds were slim.

He nodded. He didn't want to argue about it, but he didn't know the lioness anyways. So the truth could be exactly what the lion was saying. "That I shall, then." He gave a chuckle. "I'll be sure to thank the gods I ran into you then." He gave another nod. He didn't want to run into someone like Dhiren, and he could only assume that this male's sister might be kinda like him.
"Well, they can't all be pleasant." He said with another chuckle. "It wouldn't make things interesting if everyone got along." He decided that was true, though as long as they got along enough to where things stayed civil was all that mattered.
"Thanks, hopefully I can find my way here soon enough." He had gotten himself lost here and there, and the fact something seemed to be missing kept creeping back up to him. What was it? It was going to drive him mad, but he didn't voice any concern to the male.
"Maybe, but I can't say I get out much from my friends." He said with a nod. "One of them tends to scare most anyone from coming near us." He added. He wasn't sure scare was the right word though, but it was good enough for now. "But I guess there's always one in family or friends that seems to make life interesting. Good or bad."

Everyone he had met lately, had been friendly and outgoing. He wasn't sure he liked it.. He just wanted someone to talk to him, that was as pessimistic as he was. Everyone being so friendly just made him feel phoney. He just wasn't friendly, and outgoing. He was withdrawn. "I think I could go without the drama." He chuckled, smiling as he did. He would have been really happy to have family that didn't get on his nerves. He did his best to stay out of others way. Sometimes he wished they gave him the same respect. "Sounds just like her.." He said, and this time he laughed. He couldn't help it. Scaring everyone away had been the reason he had been friends with Illyeria when they were cubs. Now he was able to defend himself, and he had no use for her protection.

"Can't we all." He said with a sign. "But without a little conflict, some things would begin to seem dull and not right." He decided that was true. As much as he had told himself, it wouldn't be the same if he didn't have Dhiren around almost every day. "You might not miss it to start with, but after a while you'd realize that you couldn't live without it."
"Maybe they'd make good friends!" he said with a laugh to add to the other. "Or maybe they'll annoy each other just as they annoy everyone else?" That was a thought. He never thought it could be possible to annoy Dhiren, but maybe there was a way. Not that he really wanted to annoy his friend, it was just the curiosity part that made him think about it.
"If it was possible to annoy someone who's similar to yourself, anyways."

"Remind me to have her meet up with them then. Perhaps it would benefit us both." He said, laughing again before shaking his head. He almost felt bad making fun of Illyeria when she wasn't here to defend herself. But then he just.. didnt care and shrugged it off. The sun was starting to set in the sky, ending another day that had been a rather good one. At least he had been a pleasant fellow to converse with, which wasn't always the case. "Welp. I'm afraid it's time for me to return home. It was a pleasure meeting you." He said, bowing his head, offering a smile, and then turning to go back home. He was going to sleep well tonight.

This lion wasn't so bad, perhaps they'd become decent friends in the future. They seemed to have similar ideas, and he would need someone to get away from Dhiren from time to time. It'd also give more reason for them to make Dhiren and his sister meet and see what happened, hopefully nothing too chaotic, but it was still a curious thought. He smiled with a nod.
"I should be heading back too." He hadn't found what he was looking for, but another day would come, and he'd have to check then. Plus, he was sure that the others were probably wondering where he was. He wasn't one to stray. often. "Until next time." He inclined his head and went back the way he came.
Until next time, indeed.
