Nickname(s): Sherri, Ema, or Neme Age: 22 Race: Human Height: 5'2" Weight: 140 lbs Gender: Female ►xxxxxUnderneath The Skinxxxxx◄
Likes: ✓ Reading ✓ Writing ✓ Listening to music ✓ Singing ✓ Shopping for clothing ✓ Dr. Pepper
Dislikes: ✘ Bright colors ✘ Extremely happy people like cheerleaders ✘ The 'so called' popular crowd ✘ Pepsi ✘ When people lie to her ✘ Authorities
Fears: ✖ Death ✖ Her parent's finding her ✖ People finding out about her past ✖ Being in the dark ✖ Feeling like someone is watching her from the shadows ✖ Being surrounded by a large group people
Personality: Sheridan can be very shy around others, this is due to her fears and dislikes. But when she is at her place she is happy and likes to sing as well as write. She writes books and poems as well as songs. When her Nightmare is around she is almost like a statue until he is able to break through her mental defenses, breaking her mental walls down. Because of her past Sheridan has a very hard time trusting people, which is what lead to her fear of being surrounded. She can be very calm externally but internally she is very twitchy and fearful of being around others. ►xxxxxDig A Bit Deeperxxxxx◄
When Sheridan was a child she was abused by her mother and father when they were tired of abusing each other. At the age of four she had already been to the hospital at least five different times for broken bones from 'falling' down their home stairs. When she was thirteen her father raped her, which lead to her getting pregnant. After giving birth to a baby girl she gave her daughter up for adoption, which cause her father to abuse her more. At the age of sixteen she was emancipated and changed her name from Marissa Katra Darling to Sheridan Nemesis Vane. At the time of her name change Sheridan had visited the hospital so many time that she had lost count, had so many broken bones that she stopped counting when she had been eight.
After changing her name Sheridan moved from Arizona to Seattle to make sure her parents couldn't find her again. She was able to run away from home because she had left school and had taken a Gray Hound bus to Seattle after saving up money for years. There had been times when she had thought that her parents had found her hidden money but thankfully they never did. Since that day she has been going to school, going to work, and just taking care of herself. Sheridan finished high school and started going to college to become a librarian. She takes night classes and works at Barns & Noble's in the afternoon before her classes start. What she does when she isn't working, going to class, or sleeping is read, write, listen to music or sing. ►xxxxxOther Thingsxxxxx◄
Weapon(s): She carries with her a black and crimson butterfly knife. Role: Nightmare Human Four Talents: Sheridan has a talent for singing, she is able to relax others with her voice, even make them fall asleep if they listen to her for more then five minutes. Pet None Mrs Yachi-san

Quote: Profile has been added to the profile thread! Rain ▪ Angelique ▪ Rogers ►xxxxxOpen For You To Seexxxxx◄
Nickname(s): Angel, Rogers Age: 24 Race: Human Height: 5’9” Weight: 147 Gender: Female ►xxxxxUnderneath The Skinxxxxx◄
Likes: ✓ Art ✓ Fiction ✓ Coffee ✓ Mystery ✓ Assisting others ✓ Excitement ✓ Color
Dislikes: ✘ Her name ✘ Darkness ✘ Smoking ✘ Drinking ✘ Being tired ✘ Boredom
Fears: ✖ Being alone forever ✖ Hurting others ✖ Her depression reoccurring ✖ Losing her imagination
Personality:People tend to be confused the first time they meet Rain. She has the short boy-cut, the tattooed body, and a kind of strange sense of style so people automatically prepare to avoid her. However, the wide smile forever dancing across her lips, gentle voice, and soft eyes cause them to stop and watch her a little longer. That’s when they see who she really is; excitable, thrill seeking, helpful, kind, loving, and playful. Rain believes in working with what life gives her and trying her best to make good from bad and amazing from good. She knows from experience bad things can be overcome, even if it seems like they can’t. She refuses to fall back into the dark hole it took her years to crawl out of and intends to help as many people out of and away from the darkness of depression. ►xxxxxDig A Bit Deeperxxxxx◄
Rain wasn’t always a happy and loving person like she is now. Her parents were wonderful people, or so she’s been told, but they were killed when she was 3 so she doesn’t really remember them much. She had no other family that the court could find and, though the family friends loved her and her parents, none of them were willing to take her. Regrettably, the judge had to put young Rain into the system, starting her long, horrifying, time in foster homes. Life as she saw it ended a mere two days later.
Rain was the first child to be placed into the home she started out in. The house was decent when she first got there. It wasn’t very big but she had her own room, received three meals a day, had a couple of toys, and the adults checked on her at least every hour. By the third day, however, their true colors began to shine. They needed the extra money and figured it would be easy to just have the kid there and put in just enough effort to let it live. They didn’t expect Rain to want attention and didn’t think about the other things they’d have to buy for her. They weren’t making as much money as they thought they were going to and it made them mad. Where was that anger directed? At the three year old of course. Rain stayed with them for a year before the regulators realized something was wrong and moved her to another house.
Over the next five years, Rain was moved to seven different homes, none of the moves were due to anything she had done, but occurred because of insufficient funds, problematic foster parents, death of foster parents, and abuse. By the age of eight Rain had lived in nine different places and was beginning to believe homes were horrible places and happy families like the ones on TV were all nothing but fiction. She began to sink into a deep depression and rebelled against her foster parents and other kids. By the time she was 14 she had lived in 19 homes. It was on her 14th birthday that things changed for her.
Judith, Rain’s caseworker over the eleven years of hell, visited the girl’s last foster home on her 14th birthday to see how things were going and found her in her room, passed out from an overdose of painkillers. Judith called an ambulance and Rain was taken to the hospital where they fixed her up. Judith learned that it was the third time Rain had attempted to end her life, and felt horrible for the girl. She had known Rain from the beginning and knew she used to be a happy girl that was full of potential. Judith decided she would take Rain in. Rain was weary, but it was either go with Judith or to another foster home so for lack of a better option she went with the woman.
Judith took good care of Rain, set her up in a nice school, and scheduled regular meetings with a counselor. Things were very rocky at first, but after Rain spent two years with Judith and saw she wasn’t going to give up, things improved. Right before her 17th birthday, Judith actually adopted Rain and they became the happy family Rain always dreamed of.
Now, Rain has a bachelor’s degree in child psychology and is working on getting her Master’s. She currently works as a waitress and barista in a small café and loves to paint, draw, and write in her free time. Selling her works are actually where she gets most of her money and how she’s able to afford school. ►xxxxxOther Thingsxxxxx◄ Weapon(s): German Dagger Role: Dream Human #3 Talents: drawing and painting and sometimes writing. She has extremely vivid dreams that inspire her works. Pet: Ranger ChemNerd11

Nickname(s): "Met" Age: 8, give or take a few months Race: Nightmare Height: Around 4' or so Weight: 60 Gender: Male ►xxxxxUnderneath The Skinxxxxx◄
Likes: ✓ Movies ✓ Puzzles ✓ Meeting new people ✓ Music from long ago ✓ Surprises ✓ The unknown ✓ Adrenaline
Dislikes: ✘ Big dreamers ✘ The apathetic ✘ Bright places ✘ Calm resolution
Fears: ✖ Someone with nothing left to lose
Personality: Metus is, at first glance, an innocent child with eyes full of wonder. Always moving, always talking, but there is something subconsciously unnerving about him. Even when the situation is perfectly secure, Metus gives off the a feeling that he will be going for your throat the second you take your eyes off of him. Even with a calming smile and a childish voice this Nightmare is undoubtedly hiding something, and he has no qualms letting you know that. Metus is a fan of unnerving riddles and letting key details slip that cause a person to doubt themselves. He is always giving out half of what others need to know, but always revealing that he knows far more than he should. The most dangerous thing about this particular Nightmare is that he has no wish to cause rampant destruction nor any desire to kill; merely a sadistic enjoyment of watching others become increasingly paranoid. ►xxxxxDig A Bit Deeperxxxxx◄
On the day she ran away, a dream graced the mind of Metus' dear creator. A dream of home. Where a child as old as hers would have been greeted her as Miss Darling, asked if her child could come out to play. He was yet without purpose, only knowing that he desired to hear her heart race faster. With a kindly gesture he welcomed her along, never leaving her side. He pushed her along, telling her to run and run. To never stop running. They would always be there in this world, looking for her. There wouldn't be freedom if she stopped running. Metus took delight in her path and when night fell, he took his turn once again to remind her of what she left behind. There were others before this one--others whose hearts raced at his kind revelations--but this girl was special. He was hers, and she needed him to stay alive. Over the years, his influence spread and grew, reminding others to run and to never look back. He wove them tales of a killer lurking in the dark. He revealed the feeling of falling while they slumbered. Metus was always there, but given shape the world was a wondrous place full of so very many hearts to start. But always, without a doubt, he returned to His human, sharing the strength that came with the bond. Like the dutiful child he appeared to be, he kept all those who met him in the dream world from walking into danger. He told them what may happen, kept them rooted in place so no one got hurt. Always murmuring at the back of their minds, Metus gave his wisdom to the poor, misguided dreamers who would only get themselves hurt. And now, given form, the young man sits before his creator with eyes wide and a knowing smile across his face. Gently, the boy coos, "Nice to meet you, Miss Darling." ►xxxxxI Was Created For Darknessxxxxx◄Nightmare Of....: Fear Creator: Human Four Powers: When met outside of the realm of Nightmares, those who attempt to act against Metus always have the feeling that they are doing something wrong. Enemies of Metus are faced with crippling doubt that everything they do will turn out badly, that he'll gain the upper hand if this plan was put into action. Every step, every word is plagued with fear of failure that grows ever stronger the more time one shows aggression while Metus is present. When Metus makes direct contact with an individual, he can cause them any number of immediate sensations, always starting up their adrenaline and instinct to run. While it is unique to the situation, an individual under the influence of Metus' grasp can feel like they are going to be killed any second now and need to escape his presence in order to be safe. Through a combination of the two, Metus will continually give off the sensation that he is much more powerful than he actually is. No one knows the extent of his power, but none dare to test it for fear that the child will have something even worse up his sleeve. ►xxxxxOther Thingsxxxxx◄ Weapon(s): A noose Role: Nightmare of Fear Other Form: Image to come soon!
