Dylan walks around the inside of school, taking pictures of the small things: Doors, windows, walls, flower arrangements, and sinks were some of the few things she had taken pictures of. Due to it being the weekend, Dylan was the only person walking around the empty corridors at the moment- but that was fine with her, because her house was was not much different. The silence the blanketed the school was the same as the silence in her household. The only difference was that here, she was alone, and not surrounded by the awkward feeling of her mother snoring on the couch.

Trae had sequestered himself in one of the classrooms while working on a project for school. He'd needed more room then what was available in his dorm. A trifold presentation board was spread out over a few desks as Trae glued various matted pictures, and descriptions to it.
As he finished gluing the last piece to the board he carefully closed the folds to carry it better. He flung the door to the classroom open without looking, sure that no one would be in the classrooms, before stepping out and almost tripping over a coffee colored kid a few years younger then himself.

Two things happened when Dylan passed by the doorway: One, the door slammed in her face, which was extremely uncomfortable. As she staggered from behind it, a tall, Pink haired faerie kid almost tripped over her, causing her to freeze up and fall on her face with an "Oof!" She sits back up, rubbing her bloody nose "Oopsy! Sorry mister!"

Trae startled a bit. "Uh, I should be the one apologizing. I beamed you in the face with a door. Also, I'm 11, you really don't need to call me mister." He offered her a hand to help her up, politely. He was really way too young to be a mister. Misters were his Uncle's age. "So, sorry for nailing you with a door." He looked sheepish. "I shouldn't have been in such a hurry."

She takes his hand, hopping up and digging in her side satchel to check her camera. It wasn't damaged. She grins, finally getting a good look at him "It's ok, It didn't hurt bad!" She wipes her nosebleed with a tissue from her bag, shrugging "You have attractive facial features! May I take your picture?" She nods excitedly, not mentioning that she also wanted his picture because he was the first person she's met since arriving to the school.

Trae blinked. Then blinked again. "Uh." was his intelligent first response.
"My picture? I don't know, we kinda bumped into each other, why do you want my picture?" surely not because he was good looking. That's a silly reason. He'd only want someone's picture if they meant something to him. And attractiveness certainly wasn't enough of a legitimate reason.

She blushes slightly, fidgeting "Er, there's good reason...! I'm new here, and I have a scrapbook at home of people I wanna be friends with! I know that we just met n all, but that is how friendships start! Is that bad? Besides, I've never met someone nice and pretty at the same time! " She hops up and down, extremely energetic for someone her age.

This one was a stalker waiting to happen. Wait. Pretty? Ughhhh. "I'm a guy. Guys aren't pretty." Basic rules first. "And I never decide I want to be friends just from bumping into someone. Usually I at least make sure we have something in common... I'm not saying we can't be friends, just that I'm not sure about pictures..." He said and his hair swayed in an unfelt wind a bit in self consciousness.

"They aren't? I'm sorry then..." She droops slightly, putting the camera away "But I can understand then! What do you like then...uh..." She didn't know his name, and she couldn't call him mister "uh... I'm Dylan! My mom says I'm Dianna, but she is always sleeping and I hate that name so Dylan it is!" She nods contently "It matches my older brother's name better anyway."

Trae was happy to see the evil device put away. Pictures were always embarrassing for him. They made him look entirely too feminine, not to mention pink. He may have been resigned to his pigment, but that didn't mean he liked having it documented. "I'm Trae." He said to her. "Are you living in the dorm or at home?" He couldn't tell from what she'd already said.

"I live at home with my momma! I want to move to the dorms sometime though...Then I could meet lots of people and make friends, and play with my brother maybe!" She nods contently "I'm gonna do it when I become a teen, I think! What about you?"

"I live in the dorms already. My best friend's here and people used to give me trouble in the human schools. So my Uncle enrolled me here so I could be with my friend and avoid a lot of trouble." Trae had liked living with his uncle, but he also liked living in the dorm. He'd made another friend and of course Sha was around.

She perks up, looking excited "What's your friends like? is living in the dorm fun?" She notices his project for the first time, tilting her head "What's that? Need help carrying it?"

"Well. Sha's.... Sha. I guess I'll start with what he looks like. He's a red head, long hair in a ponytail, horns and tail. He's also got bat wings. Uh, he looks like he's been smudged with soot all over and Left eye's wonky. it looks like void." Here Trae rolled his eyes. "He's nosy, and friendly and determined. He doesn't always know when he's crossed lines or said something socially stupid. He's a good guy."
He shifted his weight and opened the trifold for her to see his school project. "This is my history project. I needed space to glue everything down. And it's not heavy, just kind of unwieldy, so I think I'll be good."

She tilts her head, smiling excitedly "Well, he sounds really awesome!" She peeks at the project "I think the cafeteria is empty and stuff, so maybe that would be a good place to work on it?" She looks at the window, noticing a bird and pulling out her camera. She takes a picture of it, giggling before putting the camera back.
