- How to gain Levels
PostPosted: Sat Dec 15, 2012 1:18 pm

This section involves the guild's ranking system, as well as the leveling system. It is essential that every member of the guild goes through this. The numbers we have to deal with are quite large, as it mirrors the system from the anime series, but we have tried to simplify it as possible.

Levels and Ranks

The Guilds System has been created to mimic SAO's leveling system. First off, to make things easier, we have grouped levels into tiers. Each tier is represented by a rank/class. This section shows which levels belong to which rank. Simply levels are grouped into ranks in this manner:

F [ 1-15 ]
Those who belong to the F-Class are starters and newbies, and are the weakest players in game.

E [ 16-30 ]
These are regular players who have come to know more about the world, but are still in its early stages.

D [ 31-45 ]
Players who belong to this rank are now more knowledgeable about the world of SAO.

C [ 46-60 ]
These are players who have risen among the rest, possessing considerable talent and skill.

B [ 61-75 ]
These players are veterans in the world of SAO.

A [ 76-90 ]
Players who belong to this rank have earned their righteous place as pioneers and front liners of the world's adventurers. They are well known and popular in-game.

S [ 90-95 ]
The elites, special mercenaries. Players who belong to this rank are top class.

Players are classified into Special Ranks once they reach Level 96 and above. Special Ranks give players additional incentives and perks which have yet to be discussed. Legendary Players are those who are generally the strongest in the game, and enjoy benefits that no other player can enjoy. Conquerors are the strongest players overall in-game, making them those who wield God-like strength and ability.

Legendary Players [ 96-99 ]
Conquerors [100]

The Leveling System
This section displays the guild's leveling system. It might be a little difficult to understand at first, but it will sink in eventually. Maybe after a few updates to your character.

Leveling up your character can be accomplished through different kinds of ways. But basically, in this guild, you level by typing words and creating the story of your RPC. In the roleplay, it can be done by fighting monsters and fighting your fellow players. As far as Player-VS-Monster or PvM, goes, you can roleplay as both your character and the monster you are fighting. Sometimes, the crew members may roleplay as those monsters for you, which makes things even more interesting. Player-VS-Player or PvP, is when you fight your fellow player in a duel. It does not particularly differ from fighting monsters, except for the fact that fighting with another player is slightly more difficult.

The amount of Experience Points(Exp) required to level up does not change per rank. Each rank is composed of fifteen(15) Levels, as denoted in the Levels and Ranks section. Each level requires the same number of Exp before the player gains a level up. As the player goes up in rank, the words that tantamount to a certain number of experience points, increases. As a standard, we will use 10Exp(10 Experience Points) as a unit reference. This makes things easier since were are about to deal with fairly big numbers. Each rank increased, the amount of words typed required to gain 10Exp will increase. This continues until the player has reached Level 99. A special quest has to be done before a player can achieve Level 100, and information about this has yet to be released.

F [ 1-15 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [1,000]
F-Class [100Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [14,000]

E [ 16-30 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [2,000]
E-Class [200Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [30,000]

D [ 31-45 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [3,000]
D-Class [300Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [45,000]

C [ 46-60 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [4,000]
C-Class [400Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [60,000]

B [ 61-75 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [6,000]
B-Class [600Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [90,000]

A [ 76-90 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [8,000]
A-Class [800Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [120,000]

S [ 90-95 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [10,000]
S-Class [1000Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [50,000]

Legendary [ 96-99 ] | 100 Exp Per Level | Total Words per Level: [10,000]
Legendary [1000Words / 10Exp] | Total Words to Rank Up: [40,000]

Conqueror [ 100 ] | To achieve Level 100, a special quest should be done.

Stat Points, Skill Points, Technique Points, and Yield
This section displays the respective yield of Stat Points and Skill Points per Level up.

As a refresher, Stat Points(StP) are points obtained from leveling up, and are allocated to the RPC's primary attributes: Strength, Defense, Stamina and Agility. Skill Points(SkP) are points obtained from leveling up and are allocated to the RPC's set of Skills: Combat, Non-combat, Passive and Weapon. Technique Points(TP) are points that are allocated to the RPC's individual set of Techniques, which fall under Skills. Always remember that there is a difference between Skills and Techniques.

Every time a level is gained, a specific amount of Stat Points, Skill Points and Technique Points are awarded. As a player increases in rank, the amount of StP, SkP and TP gained also increases. Because of this, as players level up, it widens the gap in terms of the difference of overall skill and power between the low level players and the high level players. This also provides a greater chance of each player being severely different from one another, in terms of overall ability and skill. The maximum amount of StP, SkP and TP that can be allotted into a certain Stat, Skill, or Technique is [1,000] Points.

Note: At Level 1. you start off with 20 StP, SkP and 30 TP. When you Level up to Level 2, you will start to receive 10 StP, SkP and TP, until you reach Level 15. When you reach Level 16, you will now be awarded with 15 Stp and SkP, and 40 TP. Typically, as you increase in level and rank, you will have more TP and SkP to put into the various Techniques that your Character has learned.

F [ 2-15 ] | StP Gained per Level: [10] | SkP Gained per Level: [10] | TP Gained per Level: [30]

E [ 16-30 ] | StP Gained per Level: [15] | SkP Gained per Level: [15] | TP Gained per Level: [40]

D [ 31-45 ] | StP Gained per Level: [20] | SkP Gained per Level: [20] | TP Gained per Level: [50]

C [ 46-60 ] | StP Gained per Level: [25] | SkP Gained per Level: [25] | TP Gained per Level: [60]

B [ 61-75 ] | StP Gained per Level: [30] | SkP Gained per Level: [30] | TP Gained per Level: [70]

A [ 76-90 ] | StP Gained per Level: [35] | SkP Gained per Level: [35] | TP Gained per Level: [60]

S [ 90-95 ] | StP Gained per Level: [40] | SkP Gained per Level: [40] | TP Gained per Level: [80]

Legendary [ 96-99 ] | StP Gained per Level: [45] | SkP Gained per Level: [45] | TP Gained per Level: [90]

Conqueror [ 100 ] | Final StP Grant: [100] | Final SkP Grant: [100] | TP Gained per Level: [100]

Total Accumulated StP at Level 100: [2,520] | Total Accumulated SkP at Level 100: [2,520] | Total Accumulated TP at Level 100: [5,850]
Note: This suggests that only (2) Stats out of four, (2) Skills out of four, and (5) Techniques out of all the rest can be maximized. This is for the sake of balance. Although, it is to the own player's discretion if he wishes to create a character with specialization in a certain attribute, or if he wishes to create a character that is well-rounded.

You also gain 50 HP and your Equip Limit increases by 10 every time you level up

Making Leveling Easier: Event Bonus and Party Bonus Modifications
This section contains information on Event Grants and Party Bonus Grants to make Leveling a little bit easier.

If you have gone through everything that is mentioned above, then you would, without a doubt, know that boosting your RPC's level will be suicide. Because of this, the guild has created ways for you to be able to accumulate Levels faster, and so that you won't bother yourself with typing an insane number of words.

Event Bonuses are Bonuses which give you extra word count. The mechanics of this kind of bonus will depend on the GUILD CAPTAIN who gives them. Usually, events take place during Holiday breaks and certain weekends. They are rarely given out at random times. Don't even bother asking and begging for one because it is highly unlikely that there will be one if there is no occasion. Event Bonuses for Leveling may include anything under the sun; from free word count, to a multiplier that affects the whole guild, to a bonus item that grants an individual a in increase in his own word count for a specific duration. However, no level boosts will be given, as well as additional Exp Points to level up. As cruel as it may seem, we still want you to work for your levels even if it is just a little bit. But, rest assured, the Captain, or at times his Crew, will give generous bonuses to speed up your leveling.

The Party Bonus system involves a very simple formula that will greatly increase your word count once you are in a party. There are certain conditions to be met in order to achieve the benefits of a Party Bonus, and it will be listed in detail after the Formula has been explained. Before we go on, it should be noted that the Party Bonus does not add up to your word count, but rather, only increases your word count by using a multiplier. The Party Bonus should always be clearly indicated in the Profile Updates, including the specific formula you have used.

Formula

TOTAL NUMBER OF WORDS TO BE EXCHANGED INTO POINTS = [Original Word Count] x [Multiplier = 1.5]
MULTIPLIER = 1.5 | USED IF PARTY ONLY HAS 2-3 MEMBERS.

TOTAL NUMBER OF WORDS TO BE EXCHANGED INTO POINTS = [Original Word Count] x [Multiplier = 2.0]
MULTIPLIER = 2.0 | USED IF PARTY HAS 4-6 MEMBERS

Party Bonus Conditions:

-- (1) To be able to make use of this, your player has to be included in a party of 2 to a maximum of 6 members.
-- (2) This bonus is applicable to Player-Monster Roleplay, or Player-Player Roleplay.
-- (3) This bonus is only applicable to posts done in any thread that is not a Town, City, Castle, Home, Guild House or any of the sort.
-- (4) Keep track of the Posts and the Formula you are using to modify your Word Count. The bonus can change if the count of the party members changes in the middle of the Roleplay and completely ends if the party has been disbanded.
For example: You start with a party of four. Halfway one of your members leave and you end up with a party of three. You will have to make use of the two fomulas above and be accountable for the respective changes which have to be made in which selection of posts.

-- (5) You can always ask the Crew members to help you out with this if you are confused. Feel free to send a PM to the Crew Members who are in charge of Profile Updates to help you out.
