Description: If it weren't for the winged ankles, Chin would be very very average. She's on the short side, carries a few extra pounds around the middle and often wears a bemused expression on a round soft-featured face, framed by dark brown hair cut short that usually needs combing. Clothes-wise, she's fond of blues (the color of her eyes) greens and purples, also her favorite colors. The three C's are important: colorful, comfortable and cute. Plain black and white look the worst on her. As far as accessories go, she usually has a pencil somewhere on her person and wears a phoenix feather as jewelry.

Oh, and the wings? Well, you do get all types in Gaia...they're gray white, soft feathered, smallish, and make wearing shoes a problem.

Personality: Since Sabriel arrived in her happy, isolated life, Chin has actually been forced to meet people outside of close friends, and benefited from it. She's not as shy as she used to be. When she's settled in her own element, she can be very animated and energetic - and yes, grumbles a lot, but what else is new? Chin's very talented at being irritable, probably another side effect from having to take care of a vicious, whiptailed cat child 24/7. Change is worrisome, and it takes some powerful convincing to be considered a good thing. Also, handsome men make her mind go splat. It's a proven fact.

New situations still make her wary, but not so much. She's learned it's easier to step into something with confidence, and does her best to be happy in the process.

Powers and abilities: Dimension hopping (weak), coercion through song/writing

History: Maybe someday I'll get to this, but long story short - she's has a pretty good life so far. There's only been one point of heartbreak that happened fairly recently (within a few years).
A muse? In-training? Wtf?

Well, you know Gaia has a lot of creative people. It was created by creative people, for goodness' sakes! Earth has itself covered with the original 9 and all, but taking another world along with that workload would be crazy. So Gaia has personal muses. They're people, too - for about a century they're allowed to do what they will with little interference. Chin really is 24 years old.

The morning dawns clear and cold over a quiet suburban neighborhood in downtown Barton. It is a tidy, calm looking place, with a scattering of houses that show in all shapes and sizes - this is Gaia, after all. In fact, the only normal looking house is a quaint, three story building tucked comfortably in the center. Alleyways run down on either side of it where the flicker of a ragged tail can be spied as the neighborhood cats meet. Should your observation continue up the lawn, it would follow a small walkway leading off to the left, each step shaped into a perfect white sanddollar. I'd be careful about that way if I were you. It leads to the oddest looking pond that bubbles at intervals with a noise similar to...er...snickering? Yeah. Personally, I'd just keep faaar away...

You could always go up the main path. It leads right up to the porch, a tiny thing more like an overhang. There's a porch seat and various things scattered all over the step; just try not to trip. It's painted a cheery sort of creamish white color just like the house. The shingles and roof are burnt orange. Windows scatter every story, but most of them have curtains drawn; the few that are cleared reveal rooms and hallways as widely varied as its residents. Every now and then a shriek of someone surprised into the waking erupts (probably from Spyro poking them) but for the most part, the house is quiet.

Even with three stories everyone's packed as tight as a sardine can - personal bedrooms are on the second floor, and that is a place of no return. Rooms also take up most of the third floor, the rest, storage. And the first houses all the essentials like the kitchen or living room.

On the second floor an innocuous looking closet is really a portal to the Magical Mishaps HQ. When you open the door, wham, there's Sabriel's room. Miles and miles and a step away!
