The day was crisp and cold, a layer of snow three inches thick blanketing the ground, fresh sticky enough that it crunched under the little ghostlings boots as she ran through her backyard, making her way to the ramshackle hut that her father had worked on to make it less ramshackle and more of a proper hut to put their drying herbs and plants that they needed for various 'arts' as he called it. Reaching the hut, Anastasia phased through the door, a habit she was picking up but not on purpose, with a basket full of dried Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, and other various herbs that were needed - more so during the colder months when things seemed to linger about longer. The green-tinted girl jumped slightly when she saw someone in the hut, someone she never saw before, someone with wings like her father - but with two pairs of wings instead of one. Standing stock still at the door, she stared at the figure with her mismatched eyes.

Curled up in a ball with his wings around him, Blaine shivered lightly from the cold. It was probably thanks to his coat, gloves, many shirts, and the hut that he didn't freeze. Though he probably wouldn't be able to take many more days in there without a proper home and the weather dropping. Whimpering a lightly his eyes slowly opened. Wings and arms both stretched as he gave a loud yawn then rubbed his eyes. Blaine didn't notice the girl since he placed his glasses to the side so his vision was blurred.
Once he was fully awake he looked for his glasses so he could start his day though he was sure there wouldn't be much to do since he had nearly nothing. Taking his glasses and putting them on he looked around. The moment his eyes laid on Ana his heart nearly stopped as he began to panic. "Sstay awway from me!" The boy pinned himself against the wall of the hut with a look of pure terror on his face.

Anastasia had heard him, but she seemed more interested in knowing about the boy who was clearly a Meta, but of a race she hadn't seen before. A grin spread across her lips as she walked closer to him, setting the basket down next to one of the larger baskets full of dried roses. "You look cold, would you like to come inside for some tea?" She asked as she walked up to him and handed over a rather colorful hat that she had on to cover her fluffy purple hair.

Blaine stiffened up as the girl came closer. He wanted to run for it but there wasn't a clear path for him. It looked like he was a trapped mouse in a corner. As the girl came even closer he closed his eyes and froze right there. "Pplease no sstay awway from me. You'll only get hurt." Blaine tried to cover his face so that no skin was showing. "I don't wwant you to get ppoissoned." He was nearly in tears as he spoke hoping the girl would leave him. Though from how the girl acted she didn't look so scared which only scared him even more. There was no way that he wanted it to end the same way as his guardians. He didn't want more innocent people hurt because of him.

Anastasia frowned cutely, putting her hat back on in a huff, crossing her arms over her chest as she stared at the other Meta but didn't back up. "I dunno who you are, or who you think I am, but I ain't a pansy!" She stated firmly, just staring at the boy before getting an idea. Smiling, she reached forward to touch one of his gloved hands, but accidentally phasing through it.
"Woops.."

Heart nearly stopped for a second time as Ana tried to touch him and phased through him. One of the most highest of pitched screams came from Blaine's mouth from pure terror. It wasn't from the fact that Ana tried to touch him but more that she phased through his hand. He really didn't have much knowledge of the other species of meta so it was this that scared him. Blaine nearly fainted as he slid to the floor and looked to her with watery eyes. His wings covered his body in a protective fashion as he shivered all over. "Don't! Pplease!" Now he thought maybe it really was better if he ran for it but yet again he couldn't even move to try to escape.

Pouting more as she removed her phasing-hand from his, the ghostling watched the boy slide to the ground and try to hide himself. Kneeling in front of him, she phased through his wings just enough to rest her hands on his gloved ones and for her face to be seen. Smiling, Anastasia seemed to hum slightly as she used a different one of her powers, her calming one. Sure, it wasn't skin contact, but with the multi-winged meta acting like he was, this was as close as she was going to get. "If you calm down, I can explain.".

Flinching at first from the girl's action, Blaine was going to scream again yet he began to feel a sense of calm fill him. He didn't knew where it was coming from since he knew he should have been scared yet he was beginning to panic even less. It was actually rather pleasant just like before all the terrible things began to happen. He didn't even feel quite as scared with the girl's phasing. Now that he thought about everything he felt bad that he how he had acted. "Ssorry." He said looking down as his eyes looked back up to her. The girl did look different to him but they weren't human and there were probably some that looked even more weird.

"It's alright." She said after seeing that the boy was calming down, Anastasia backed up, tripping over one basket and falling onto her butt with an adorable sound. Standing up and dusting herself off, she looked at Blaine and smiled, "Feeling better though?" she asked. Offering a hand out to him, she hoped he would take it seeing as it looked like he had been holed up in their small hut for awhile now and he had to have been cold. Ana could probably get away with saying the boy was a friend who was in need of an extended stay for awhile if she played it off right.

Blaine jumped a little when Ana fell back. He wanted to help her but he hesitated to much about it since she sat up on her own. Though now she offered her hand to him. Looking at her hand then her, he did that a few times as he thought if he should do it. His hand moved forward pausing a few times before moving again. He kept telling himself as long as they didn't make any real skin contact she would be ok. Gulping, Blaine finally took the girl's hand as he nodded. He suddenly felt a bit shy that he was speechless at the moment. Was it really alright to get close to her? He wasn't sure of the answer but the first sign of something bad happening he would run for it.

Helping the boy up, she smiled and suddenly hugged him, this time not accidentally phasing through him like she had done earlier. Anastasia started to hum, a song that she liked to hum because she liked it, a certain song from the movie 'Tarzan', but this time she was humming it while she continued to use her calming ability, ignoring the start of a sinus headache. Looking up at him, she smiled more, "My pappa said that hugs make people feel better.".

Blaine would have panicked from the hug yet once again he felt that calm feel go through his body. He still kept his face away from the girl and still unsure if he should hug but as he heard what the girl said his arms slowly made their way to hug her. It was a pleasant thing, that hug was but it still felt awkward the he kept his face away. "Thank you." Blaine stated as he still held on. He really wished it wouldn't end but he knew it would have to soon.

Pleased with how the boy was looking now, Anastasia let go of him, but quickly grabbed his gloved hand, "Come on, let's get you some tea or hot chocolate! It's cold out here, even for me." she giggled, trying to drag the boy along to the door as she tried to figure out how she could get her dad to let the boy stay at their place for awhile. As the thoughts ran through her head on what to do, she brought her free hand to her forehead to think.

Both things Ana offered sounded good to Blaine but tea still sounded best to him. He actually felt happy at the moment but when the door open he only felt cold hit his face. A shiver ran down his back making him move his scarf to cover his face. He was really glad to have the hut as a place to sleep but with how cold it was getting he was sure that the hut wouldn't be the warmest place soon. He had to find a new place soon, very soon. Squeezing Ana's hand he looked over to her house then back to her wondering if it really was ok for him to go inside.

As she got to the door and the cold hit her, she tried her best to quickly make her way to the house. It took her about two minutes to make her way from the Hut to the House, quickly opening the back door and leading the boy inside before closing - and locking - the door behind her. Once that was set, she turned to look at Blaine and smiled.
