Everything hurt. Booze didn't dull it or make it go away... nothing did. Never thought she'd be part of the lonely hearts club, at the bar drinking her troubles away, but here she is. Her head slammed into the bar, drowning out everything. Diz could still hear her sweet little voice. She didn't deserve something so innocent anyway. She was going to bring her self to tears if she kept heading down this path. With a sigh, she sat up again just staring at her half empty glass of rum.

Alvilda was done.
Her crew watched from the windows, peeking in time to time during their Christmas shopping. Christmas.... They were lucky she even let them wander off for something so trivial. She almost hadn't, but then they whined about how she always let them and how she could simply drink at the bar while they shopped, and honestly, that was all she wanted. Even so, the booze wasn't enough, it was never enough.
How could she forget him? The man who bested her heart. Who managed to lure her into his arms? How could she forget such a beautiful man, a man she had loved completely and honestly. A man who had introduced her to his family. Not only him, but his mother had happily accepted her... Everyone knew Alvilda had a mother complex, having never had one herself and always wanting a mother. Badly. And now, she too was gone.... And the boys, brothers of him, dead as well.
Everyone was dead.
She downed another glass, eyes narrowing. She wanted to steal. To be chased, yelled at, hurt. She wanted to forget. Her brother was already upset at her for constantly being a nuisance, he even asked to become captain, but she refused. Even if she was breaking she would not relinquish control. She was losing everything, her crew wouldn't be included.

She glanced out a window. Squinting she saw that there were pirates were in town? They peaked in the windows with gifts and concerned looks. Well with what she hoped was concern, but for who? Scanning around she saw another particularly somber pirate woman.
Wait, why were there pirates? The more she thought about it the more her head ached. Then it hit her. It was the holiday season, a break of some sort? But that only lead her to remember past holidays. Her ears tilted back thinking about it. Why did it have to hurt? She use to not give a rat’s a** about anyone.
Her head hit the bar once more, pushing the rest of her bottle of rum down to the pirate woman beside her. She wasn’t up for anymore drinking, moving or living of any sort right now.

Alvilda almost missed the bottle, too out of it to actually realize her surroundings. Her eyes caught the sight of a slouched woman, head against the bar, probably just as drunk if not more as Alvilda. The pirate captain took a gulp of the bottle straight from the top, sending a dirty look towards the windows at her foolish crew. They scampered on, the sight of her brother shaking his head the last thing she saw before she focused on the drink once more. She wanted to drown in it's liquid, forget the pain and loss and simply remember only the feeling of stumbling body and bad decisions. She didn't want to remember her own damn name today,
"What be wrong with you?" She questioned the other, the woman who had slipped her booze. Why? She wanted to know of another's story rather than her own. She needed someone to fill her head with something other than Pence's sweet words and warm hands. She needed something, anything, anyone, to fix this burning hole that had never been there until Pence vanished. Why had she relied on him? Why had she, the dragon captain of a score of men, depended on one single man to be her anchor? Why had she allowed any of this to happen?
